I had an amazing gel manicure from Chanel, she gave amazing service and will most definitely be going back to her. But she did an amazing honest thing by informing me of a scam one of their other nail techs did, I asked for gel during my last manicure and actually got hard gel, I did not ask for hard gel nor did he attempt to persuade me to switch to hard gel he just gave it to me and charged me for it I was under the impression I was paying for regular gel polish, Chanel realized this and informed me since doing the removal had been different than regular gel polish. I had gotten both French tip manicure/pedicure done so the price didn't surprise me too much since I know French tips tend to up the price. It's really disappointing that this business had allowed a scam situation like this to happen. This techs name was Guam, I don't know the exact spelling but honestly learning the truth has made me want to not go back unless I am seeing Chanel specifically. Just be careful when getting your nails done here especially by Guam himself or you'll end up paying for a service you didn't ask for. I went here to get my nails done for my wedding this weekend and came in with a French tip ombré inspiration picture. I wanted to do gel on my natural nail which they said they could do but it would be a different process than dip. I had three different people attempt to do it but it wasn't blended well. I was then told by someone up front that I would be put with Ruby to help. However, I ended up with someone different who also seemed confused on the ombré blend so I ended up just leaving with unfinished, drilled nails since it was near closing and I was ready to be done with it. I asked for a gel pedicure which also required a gel polish removal.. right when I walked in, I was greeted ever so friendly by the manager where she promptly asked if I'd like a beverage; I gladly accepted. I sent my wife to this nail bar today for a relaxing pedicure as a treat since she's 6 months pregnant and has not had time to do something for herself in a while. Unfortunately, the level of service she received was beyond disappointing, completely ruining what was meant to be a special, relaxing experience. She has visited this nail bar multiple times in the past, including for her bridal party before our wedding, and the experiences were always great. That's why I felt confident sending her today. Sadly, they failed at every step this time. She was seated fairly quickly upon arrival, but then left waiting without so much as an update or any gesture to make her comfortable. In the past, when she's had to wait for a technician, the staff would at least fill the water bowl so she could begin soaking her feet and relaxing. This time, nothing--not even a simple offer of bottled water while she waited. She explained she was on a tight schedule (as she also has a toddler at home and only had a short window for childcare). After 30 minutes of sitting there without anyone checking in, someone finally walked by and told her to "just keep waiting" and that it wouldn't be much longer. When she asked for the water bowl to be filled, they put about 2 inches of lukewarm water in--still no jets, and no technician in sight. After waiting another 5-8 minutes, she had to leave without being seen. This was incredibly frustrating and upsetting for her, especially at a time when something as simple as a pedicure should have been a moment to unwind. It's unacceptable to treat any client this way, let alone someone who is visibly pregnant. We've always supported this business in the past, but after today's experience, we will not be returning. read more

Believe this is my first ever "ZERO STARS if I could" review. PLEASE read my review of what happened to me here this weekend after a couple years of mostly good experiences. Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. Earlier in the week I stopped in to make a weekend appointment (regular manicure and pedicure). I didn't request a specific person but said I prefer to have a lady. The guy at the desk put me on the schedule and I was hoping he also made the note. Today I arrive for my appointment - of course, out comes a guy to take me back. This has actually happened before and sometimes I say something and sometimes I don't. Today I did (this appointment was for my birthday week nails, so I wanted what I wanted), and "ok, wait a few minutes, we'll have a lady available." Well, I don't know if this lady was taken from her lunch break or what, but she seemed to have an attitude from the beginning and no nametag showing which is not a good sign. I had gel on my fingernails which she informed me would be $5 to remove. I questioned it because I've had many gel manicures removed/done here and was never charged that. She said it was because I wasn't getting another gel manicure just regular. Huh ok, whatever I guess. In trying to be somewhat conversational I mentioned I was holding off on gel this week, because of an upcoming long trip I want to get gel immediately prior to (she couldn't have cared less ha). She removed the gel entirely be electric file (no soaking). To be honest, this doesn't bother me a whole lot as long as they are careful. She was not. In the process, she managed to: (1) completely thin out my right index fingernail, which she then roughly manually filed and it broke and she then just cut a whole corner of it off, (2) electronic file back past the cuticle of my left ring finger, to which I said "ow" as it quite hurt, and (3) electronic file yet another cuticle and I said "ow" again. Now, *****IF YOU READ ONE THING READ THIS PART***** she is annoyed with me for saying "ow" when she's hurt me, and decides to try to show me the electronic file does not hurt, and SHE ON PURPOSE TOOK THE ELECTRIC FILE TO MY MIDDLE FINGER (NOT THE NAIL, MY ACTUAL FINGER), AND RAN THE FILE ACROSS IT. To which I gasped and said, "are you kidding me? That really hurt!" So, she then takes the electronic file to her own hands and wrists, running it across the skin, without a flinch. I said again, "I cannot believe you intentionally just did that to me." I notice at this point an entire row full of people on pedicure chairs is staring at us, so that was great... I said, "once the removal is finished I am done for today." She informs me it is now $10 to have this gel manicure removed. I responded, pretty disgusted, "Whatever it takes to get out of this place." She wrote me my $10 ticket, I took it to the desk and paid. I was in too much disbelief at the time to do anything further. I am now practically sick to my stomach over this appointment. The fact that she literally assaulted me with the electronic file, with ZERO REMORSE OR APOLOGY, and THEN had the guts to UP THE PRICE OF THE SERVICE. I should have raised heck with the desk. I should have told them exactly what happened but I was already 4th in a line with more behind me. I should have not paid. I should have asked her name. I should have asked to see her license (which should be considered for revocation). I was way too calm in a state of shock over to whole thing. I will not be back for another service ever. I may be back to further discuss what happened. I will be getting my birthday pedicure somewhere else tonight. I may not be able to get a birthday manicure or the upcoming travel gel manicure I had planned due to the thin nail. This experience takes the cake for worst ever in about 20 years going to nail salons. read more

My technician skipped the basics--no filing, clipping, or cleaning under my nails--and the foot scrub with the pumice stone was rushed and barely noticeable. The gel application didn't fully cover my big toe, yet I was still asked if I wanted a manicure (I declined, given the quality of the pedicure). Overall, the service felt careless, and I can't justify returning. Disappointed and looking elsewhere for better attention to detail. On Google ownership responded stating they couldn't find me in their system. I was a walk-in on Friday, June 13th around 5:30 PM, which may be why I'm not listed in the system. However, I was still able to pay for the service via credit card and scanned a Venmo code to leave a tip--something I did out of courtesy, not because the service met expectations. read more

Went in to get my nails done asked for a short square French tip and asked for a rhinestone on the nail when it cured under the light it had moved and was crooked I let nail tech know and she told me she would place other ones around it so it wouldn't look as crooked..... she did end up fixing it but I had to tell her to replace it. not to mention some of the nails were thicker and some were thin, at the end I ended up getting charged 108$ and was there for an hour and a half. He was extremely rude and drew blood on my pinky so many times, the second time he was filing my nail, but wasn't paying attention that he was filing my skin along with it. He then asked me if I wanted to continue or just send me home. His work was lazy and my nails are all different lengths, when I was explaining what I wanted, he was completely ignoring me. I have been to Biltmore Nail bar many many times and typically schedule with the same gal, but she was not available, and this will be my LAST time at that nail bar, while also sharing this experience will all my friend who have gone here as well. I was put with a man who I believe was named William based on the name on his tools. Our interaction was limited from the start but he was argumentative and unkind from the first second we did have interactions, starting when I simply shared that I like my nails to be on the thinner side. He said no, they need to be thick and proceeded to layer the builder gel on. He then asked what shape I would like and I showed him a picture of the shape and length. They were extremely pointed and not close to the picture, so I asked if he could file them down a little more so they weren't as pointed. He argued with me about the shape I had said moments ago. When he asked what color I wanted, I mentioned I was hoping for a lighter color than what I had seen, in the brief 30 seconds I had at the hangers where the colors live mind you, before I was rushed to take a seat. I was 10 min early for my appt because I like time to look at colors. His response was "you looked at the colors and that's all we have". After that point, I told him a color and chose to not have any other interaction, since it was clear he was not the friendliest. When it was time to pay and he had tacked on an extra $5 to my total for "reshaping". I only knew this was a higher price because I've been here multiple times before and only ever been charged $55, and get the same shape every time. He proceeded to argue with me at the desk where you pay. I told him I did not want to speak with him any longer, but he proceeded to argue with me and kept telling me I was paying HIM, not the salon and if I didn't want to pay he would have to take them off, I said that's perfectly fine but I would like someone else to do it. He refused. I asked to speak with the owner or manager, whom were surprisingly not answering their phone. William feels like I was rude to him first in the very minimal interaction I had with him while he did my nails, when I had a few requests for how I like my nails. I apologized if he felt I was not as friendly or as kind as he would have liked. He mocked me and said that same thing back to me. My husband and I came for Saturday afternoon pedicures and we splurged for the most expensive package. For $93 you would think your technician would be present and focused but instead, my technician FELL ASLEEP!!!!! I was most looking forward to the massage and it was the worst ever because this man could not stay awake. I was beside myself. Thankfully, the woman taking care of my husband was amazing and he had a nice experience. We did tell the front desk at checkout, by this point they were extremely busy, it was chaotic and one lady was waiting for 45 minutes when she was told 15min wait time. All we received was a "sorry that is embarrassing" UMMMM to say the least, yes- super embarrassing for THIS ESTABLISHMENT . We were not offered any discounts and $223.00 later including tips we left just shocked. For $93 a pedicure you best believe I will be going to a 5 star resort from now on. Such a shame. read more

EXTREMELY disappointed with my entire experience. This manicure is less than a WEEK OLD. I have been getting dip for YEARS and never had it chip this easily! I'm not sure how it chipped, she did so many coats of the color that it looks purple, completely different than what was advertised on the sample color. When I told her I only wanted one coat so it didn't get too dark, she insisted she would do a light coat, just to dunk each nail in the dip jar seven times, creating this bizzare color. ABSOLUTE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have gone to this nail bar on multiple occasions including for my wedding with my bridal party and usually have a great experience. Today I was so excited to treat myself to a pedicure being 6 months pregnant and not having one in so long and they failed every aspect of my day. I walked in and they sat me pretty quickly, not endorsing any type of wait time. In the past when I have been sat and need to wait for a technician they at least fill the water bowl so I can begin to relax and soak my feet. No water, no offer of a bottle of water to drink while I wait and no update on a time frame. I unfortunately had a small window to make this happen to day as I have a toddler as well and just have coverage for child care for a window of time. 30 minutes pass and nothing. Finally someone walks by and says just keep waiting, not too much longer. I express I am on a time crunch. I also ask for some water in the bowl. She puts about 2 inches of semi warm water in the bowl and no jets on to relax. I wait another 5-8 minutes and still no one. I had to walk out which I have never done and I am so upset with the treatment today that I will not be going back to this nail salon. read more

I tried Biltmore a year after my initial poor experience. I got my toes done about a week ago and I really love them, they look fantastic.. I did have to guide them a lot on the shape however, the end result was great. Fast forward to today. I went in for an acrylic fill as my nail girl wasn't available and I was on a tight schedule. They placed me with William, upon sitting down I did let William know I do prefer my nails to be slightly thicker (nothing crazy) so they don't break easily as I am rough on my nails. He refused to make two of my nails thicker and was arguing with me that my nails looked like this upon my arrival (which is not true he used the drill to file them down too much). I let that go and then asked him to make my thumb nail even as it was really crooked. He did it 3 times and after the 3rd time I stated he can just leave it because he was getting frustrated. I was getting gel bubble bath, which is a very light color. I came in with red gel polish on my nails. He did not fully remove all the red polish and as he was going to paint I asked him if the new polish will cover the red to which he stated no. He then said "do you need me to take the red off" to which I responded "yes and I don't think that's something I should have to ask, I don't want visible red under my pink nails" he didn't like that and told me to leave, with wet nail polish, I walked to the front and had a conversation with the lady at the front who told me they have a right to refuse service if he doesn't think he can make me happy which is strange because I wasn't asking for something challenging. I wanted two nails to be slightly thicker, my thumb to be evenly filed and no red under my light pink polish. She tried to send me to a different location and told me her hands are "tied" she then tried to reschedule me for later in the day. I came to yelp to find someone having the exact same interaction with William that I had. My friend and I went in for pedicures yesterday and the techs we had were awful. My tech dug into my toe nail bed and started cutting the sides of my toe nails without asking and now my toes are raw and red-very painful. The paint job was awful. When I asked her to fix it she audibly huffed-so loud that the people around me heard her as well. I asked her to change the temp of the water because it was burning me and she pretended she didn't hear me. The chairs are horribly uncomfortable and we will never be returning here again. READ IF ITS YOUR 1st TIME GOING I came here on a Saturday for the first time for a last-minute appointment; I got a simple dip manicure and regular polish change on my toes which was overall ok, despite one of the skin clippers used for my toes having previous skin on them which was gross. I saw on the website before making my appt that they offer 10% off your first visit and as someone tight on money I thought that was perfect for me. I made sure to confirm this over the phone when booking. My nail tech (I believe her name was Hong) was not friendly and barely spoke a word to me. I always give people grace when I first meet them because maybe they're having a bad day (who knows) but when I was finished and got up from my chair her next appointment sat down, and she immediately seemed to change personalities. She was energetically like "Hello! How are you? It's so good to see you!" And I felt stupid, why was I treated so differently? It just made me feel bad, but I'm not one to say anything or complain usually so I figured I would just pay and be on my way. When I went to pay, I knew my original price was $69, and they asked me to input my phone number, and when I did the price was the same. I asked about the 10% off and the lady rudely told me it would be automatic with my phone # if that was the case. I explained I had just moved to the area so I have never been before and she just said "well, sorry, it's not showing up so that will be $69." And then made sure to give me the techs phone # to venmo her tip. I just left feeling bad about myself and upset because I am a nice understanding person and I NEVER write bad reviews, but I felt this was deserved. read more
