Laura is amazing! I'm so glad I went to her. I decided to try lamination before my wedding, as I'm not happy with my brow's natural shape and grow patterns. WOW I can't believe how much better they look! I keep getting compliments on my brows, even from random people who didn't see how bad they were before. I especially appreciated Laura for taking COVID very seriously, wearing a mask and requiring customers to wear a mask. I hadn't had my eyebrows done in over a year due to COVID, but Laura made me feel very safe and relaxed! She's also just a wonderful person, and I loved chatting with her. I will definitely be returning to Laura for all of my beauty needs! read more

I really don't want to write this but due to the lack of communication i am very frustrated. I got my brows and lashes done two days ago for my wedding next week. My brows look amazing I will not down play that she did a good job. But I did pay $45 + tip for a lash lift that literally looks like nothing was done to them. I will post pics of my lashes the VERY NEXT AFTERNOON 24 hours after my lift and you can't tell anyone touched them. I have gotten a lift before from a different place and everyone comments on it and it's extremely noticeable given I never wear make up. I called and left a voicemail telling her I was displeased and wondering if we could work on a refund strictly for my lashes as I was very pleased with my brows.... It's been over 24 hours now and no response, text or phone called return. My wedding is in 3 days and now I have to scramble to find someone with availability to do my lashes AGAIN as I need them done asap before getting married. I'm upset with the lack of empathy from the owner and will not be returning. read more

I have been seeing Laura for about over a year maybe two and I have to say she is the only person I trust to touch my brows. "Keep Calm & Wax On..." This is Laura Gill-Smith's tagline (and website is keepcalmwaxon.com to match), and it couldn't be more spot-on, as once you find Laura, you can definitely relax and keep calm and know that you are in absolutely the best hands in the Valley for hair removal and brow shaping. I've been a client of Laura's for years and absolutely adore her. She's personable, professional, and a perfectionist when it comes to brow shaping and hair removal. Laura has incredible energy, and the entire process of making an appointment to paying for your services couldn't be easier. It's as easy as 1, 2, 3: 1 - Call, text or book online. 2 - Show up and relax. 3 - Pay via square and note the moderate prices. 4 - Smile and go on with your day knowing that you look much better than before ;) OK - as easy as 1, 2, 3, 4! read more

Laura is quite simply the queen of brows! I started getting my brows done by her almost 3 years ago, and any time I try someone new they never compare to the job Laura does. There's a reason she calls it "brow design", because she meticulously looks at your natural brow shape, face shape, etc, and shapes your brows in a way to enhance all your natural features. The process is quick, painless, and I always walk away happy. Laura is officially my brow-guru, and I plan on indulging in her brow offerings for as long as time will allow :) read more

Decided to try a new eyebrow/lash perm lady after a few attempts with my last lady. Checked out reviews on Yelp, Google, and Instagram and decided to book with Laura. Laura is friendly, knows what she's doing and I truly appreciate that she doesn't push any of her services on you. She allows you to relax, but still has a great conversation with you if you are up for it. Her suite is so cute! The lighting, colors, and music were all great! My eyebrows look like brand new sisters and my lashes are ready for the weekend, they look great! Can't wait to see her, again! Thank you, Laura! read more

Laura is amazing! Excellent at what she does and so fun to talk with! Would recommend!

I'm going to be finding someone new. I'm newer to the area and was (and still am) desperate to find a place for proper eyebrow shaping. So I started going to Laura as I found her here on Yelp with great reviews and seemed to do the kind of work I was looking for (and aesthetician who shapes etc. compared to just doing a strip rip and you're done). My first appointment or 2 were great. Just what I was looking for. But then the quality went downhill. The next time, they were too thick, uneven and hair started growing back after 2 days. Plus they really weren't trimmed as wanted/usual. I went again thinking it was a one time thing. Nope, same thing again. So, I am done trying. I gave chances. Apparently her care/quality has gone down. Plus I always felt like I was being sold to. Every time I'd be pushed to do a brow tint, and when I turned it down, she acted like I was weird and it was a let down I wasn't getting one. There's got to be someone better in the area. read more

Laura, you are a brow magician! My roommate Jessica went to her last week and I was so impressed with her results that I booked my appointment immediately after. These are the times I thank God for Yelp, I never would have found her in the remote building she is in without all of her amazing reviews! Walking up, her room has a cute chandelier, teal mirrors, and "Are You Mine?" on her macbook. I felt at home immediately. When I told her I wanted to thicken up my eyebrows and reshape them, she worked her pencil stenciling skills and showed me exactly where she was going to shape them, telling me exactly what she was going to trim, pluck, and keep. When I was lying down, she kept the conversation light and funny, giving me local suggestions and really making me feel like I was talking to more of a friend than a new beautician. She gave her full attention to zeroing in on my brows, making sure to give me the best results possible--and I can't express how pleased I was with the results! They are perfectly trimmed, sleek and "on point". She even told me I was 90% of the way to my "dream brows" and we set my next appointment on site. If you want a trusty, cool, quirky gal who definitely knows her stuff when it comes to beauty care--give Laura your business! read more

I'm not afraid to admit it, I found out about Laura through a mutual follow on instagram. That's right. And well, I had been looking for a new brow person since the one recommended near my house is clearly a dud. I'm not a girlie girl either, so I get my brows waxed like um a few times a year. Thankfully I don't really have bushman eyebrows to begin with. However, I've been having them waxed for over a decade so I know a good waxer when I come across one. And Laura is good. Her station is immaculate and calming and she is super fun to talk to. Waxes are very reasonably priced and painless. They even come with a tint, which I had never had before, and is like magic people. Like magic. Bonus is that she's ready at the actual time of your appointment. And I was able to schedule via text. WIN!! Everyplace should allow me to text or some other call-free way of appointment booking. Laura, I'm sorry I haven't been there in like six months, but I'm due soon. And you'll be the one I text :) read more

Laura is the absolute best! I've gone to her for eyebrow waxing and eyelash perms for at least two years now, and have always loved my results. Time flies by during appointments because she's so funny and friendly too! I'm sad to be moving out of Arizona so I won't be able to see her as often, but when I'm in town again I'll definitely be making a point to make an appointment with Laura. read more

Thank goodness I found Laura again! I used to go to her when she was at The Brow Lady and since then, I've been bouncing around to various brow waxers, but it was always so hard to find a good one. And if they were any good, they would leave or close down and I would have to start my search all over. Laura takes the time to see what your natural arch and brow shape is and just enhances it. She is very detailed and precise. I would recommend her to anyone! read more

Best brow girl I've ever had, I have the worst brows to shape and she made them look perfect. If I could give 6 stars I totally would. You have to go to her! Also she's super sweet and gentle. read more

I first met Laura when she worked at "The Brow Lady" in Scottsdale - and from that appointment I knew my brows & I would follow her wherever she went. I have very fair, sensitive skin. Normally when I would get my eyebrows waxed, I would leave looking like a clown - VERY red puffy spots all around my eyes, that would last for hours. Also, I don't like having super thin eyebrows, and every other spot I went to would thin me out even with my begging not to. I was so frustrated, and SO happy to find Laura! First and foremost, Laura is just good people. She's very nice, outgoing, funny and sweet. Second, she's SO good at what she does. I don't know if it is her touch or the product she uses, but rarely do I leave her with redness and swelling. Lastly, she does stellar work! My brows always look incredible, to the point that I get compliments on them. (I mean really, who gets compliments on their eyebrows??) I recommend Laura to all of my friends & family - and now to complete strangers on Yelp. Go check her out for yourself. You are welcome in advance :). read more

I found Laura on Yelp, she was able to get me in last minute on a Sunday via text. She did a wonderful job! Her room is clean and spacious and she is super friendly! Thank you Laura! read more

Laura is the best!! I started going to her about two years ago and would never make a change. She's professional, her location is clean with lots of parking, plus cute decor. I enjoy every appointment and she does a great job on my brows! I've also had my eyelashes permed and tinted (right before getting lasik bc you can't wear makeup for several weeks). It worked great and I loved how it looked and so easy! My mom also sees her for brow and lash tinting. Highly recommend!! read more

I've had 3 visits with Laura before writing this review, and I'm glad I waited to compose this. The first 2 times, she did a good job but I wasn't as impressed with her work as some of the other reviewers. Each time I showed up my appointments, I brought with me the same over-sized color photo of myself featuring my best eye brow shape. Nearly 5 years ago, I lived in Honolulu and met a perfectionist at a salon who shaped my brows the way they should be shaped, and took photos. Since moving away, I've never been fully satisfied with my brows. I believe Laura is the only waxer in the Valley that I've tried who has gotten this close to perfect. (It's like she's the only one in the valley who I met who can follow a photo.) I believe it took a few cycles of hair growth for my brows to bounce back from having been murdered by someone else at a different salon. SHE'S THE BEST IN THE VALLEY! read more

Laura is absolutely fantastic. I'm new to the area so I was scared to get my eyebrows waxed out here. I researched on yelp and found Laura. She was so meticulous, I'm used to women just slapping on some wax and ripping away, but she took her time and really shaped my eyebrows. They've never looked so beautiful! She kept them nice and thick which is what I asked for/like :) On top of all that, she is one of the nicest people I've ever met. We talked the whole time and before I knew it, it was done! Highly recommend her! Clean station and super cute and homey. You can text to make an appointment which is AWESOME and she is really accommodating. Will be going back again definitely. read more

Laura is wonderful!! She found time for me twice on short notice, was exceptionally friendly the entire time, and charged a reasonable price for really nice brows. For nervous or uncertain wax-ees, she definitely has the aura of someone capable and trustworthy - you'll have no doubt you're in good hands. And you'll be absolutely right! The only reason this isn't 5 stars is that her technique involves wax for the main parts and then plucking for the rest - feels nicer, looks better right afterwards (which is particularly useful for short-notice instances), but just doesn't last as long as a regular mostly-wax brow job. read more

Laura did am amazing job on my nieces eyebows. It's amazing how the different shape totally opens up her face. She made her feel very comfortable chatting with her the whole time about the process I own a salon in the same area, we don't offer waxing and I'm so glad I have someone to refer my clients to. read more

Found Laura through my daughter. I ADORE this woman! She is always so kind, upbeat and totally knows her stuff. What ever your waxing needs, this sweet wax-goddess will take great care of you. Her prices are totally reasonable and she really does understand skin and how to care for it in the waxing world. Go see her and tell her I sent you! read more

Laura is awesome and she is an eyebrow connoisseur. Not many people can get my bushy brows right, but she perfectly sculpted mine and made them even! read more

After 6 years of searching I have finally found Laura! My brows have never really been "bad" per se, but not great either...I have been searching for someone to show me the hidden potential of my natural arches, and Laura did just that. After only two visits she has groomed my brows into perfect shape and balance. Its funny how such a small change can make such a big difference! I also enjoy the quiet and private suite with the pretty chandelier to look at during my appointments...and she always has great music playing in the background too! Thanks Laura! read more

I've been seeing Laura since 2008. She is pure magic! She enhances the natural shape of my brow! Before I found her, I would suffer redness and puffiness that would take a day to heal. I'd also be dismayed that half of my brows were gone. I recommend Laura HIGHLY!!! She's very gentle with wax. Once you have been waxed by Laura, you will be VERY reluctant to see anyone else. read more

I went to Laura today and she was the absolutely best. Super friendly and her studio is so cute. She came out to meet me as I wasn't able to find the location. She tinted and waxed my brows. She did an incredible job and I am more than satisfied. Needless to say I found my new brow gal! Prices were also more than fair. Can't wait to go back! read more

Loved this place. Prices were the best I have come across in the area and she does a quick and extremely painless job. I even went in there for a wax, fully expecting pain because I had been using a retinol product (not nightly, and I know not a good idea to do this, but whatever)...and to my complete surprise and joy, it did not sting except the slightest and that was SO much better than I anticipated or deserved for being so careless. (I've had skin pulled off before even when using vaseline around the area because I am that sensitive). The tint was always great too and lasted a few weeks. Go see her! She has an adorable little room in Scottsdale. read more

Laura is great. I hope I can find someone as good as her when I move. She listens to exactly what I want my brows to look like and she always makes sure were on the same page. She's very sweet and definitely knows what she's doing. Payment is super easy, which is a bonus. You don't need to worry about bringing cash, because you can pay/tip using your card. Also, I've had problems with esthiticians (sp? lol I can't spell) waxing my brows too thin and not arching them well, but this doesn't apply to Laura. I thought my eyebrows just didn't want to arch, lol ... but now they look better than ever and arched, but I'm still able to keep the thickness which I like. read more

Laura has been doing my eyebrows for over eight years, and I wouldn't go anywhere else!
