I got an eyebrow lamination done at MaiLash yesterday and it burned a little bit but looks pretty good. Make sure to tell them if it's burning so that they put their aloe gel on after. Updating my review due the owners response - I am completely confused why the owner is lying in their response. I came back in and showed her the bumps all over my eyebrows (reposting the photo again) and said they were on fire which started right when the tech put the lamination on my eyebrows. She agreed she saw the bumps and put an aloe product all over them. I sat there talking to her for ten minutes before the burning finally started letting up. This was almost two days after I had it done and at one point my eyes were on fire as well. She admitted they use very high strength products. I have had many laminations done before with no burning reactions so I know this isn't normal. She also asked me to delete my original post since she was refunding me. I understand she is concerned about her business, but I'm more concerned about chemicals affecting my eye area, and having to leave work so I can get additional treatment that they should automatically be doing after every treatment. read more

I booked an appt online. When I arrived at 9am I was told there weas no record of the appt and they never book online. The receptionist sactually showed me the correspondence on the yelp app and then said if we asked for your phone number (which I gave them) but didnt call you then you dont have an appt? What? My girlfriend and I have been doing a spoil ourselves week to prepare for a special occasion, wax, nails, lashes, brows. It's been a while since I've gotten my lashes done, I used to get fills in 2.5-3 weeks. This set lasted 2 days... thats just the beginning. This was our first time trying this salon and their website promotes $99 classic lashes for first time clients, which is an awesome deal when you're trying to find a tech! We went for it, paid a $30 deposit each, I added a lamination and tint since they had a promotion for that as an add on as well. The salon is beautiful and they have comfy beds that you will fall asleep in. When I got to look at my face I didn't love my eyebrows but the lashes were exactly as I asked. I have gotten these services before and ask for no tint on the inner end of the brow and to only focus on the arch of my brow, that didn't happen so they were blocky and quite messy on the tail ends .. my brows weren't even trimmed so the tint was the full length of my brow hair , I had to come home and clean that up.. my girlfriends lashes were beautiful she got a classic look but they were full looking, unfortunately her eyes had an allergic reaction to the adhesive which has happened only one other time but she has gotten her lashes many times as well but That's not the techs fault.. however when it came time to pay we were charged $150 each for our lashes .. I asked them about the first time client for $99 she said that this special didn't apply to all techs and we ended up with the highest charging techs available without checking if the was okay with us when we were scheduling and clearly stated we were first time clients and wanted a classic lash set. Then when we called the next day to ask if they could remove her lashes they said of course (for $40 more on top of the $100 we were basically overcharged). So out of the three services 1)Her lashes were gorgeous 2) my lashes were very pretty unfortunately only lasted 2 days. 50% fell while I washed my face for the first time after and then gradually kept falling. 3)my brows were horrible when I walked out of there .. they look better after I trimmed and removed some of the stain. read more

Two years ago I had a consult with Mai to discuss my blotchy-patched old tattooing that was done back in 2010 by someone else. Mai suggested to me "instead of trying to keep adding to an already old problem, (filling/covering) the patches) that the best course of action is to remove everything and start fresh." Mai just completed eyelash liner, brows, lips and micro-needling on me. I am a dental hygienist by trade and very OCD and old school dental cleaning lady whose attention to detail is mandatory to all patients :-). When Mai finished up with me and I looked in the mirror there was not one, I mean zero corrections to be made. The eyeliner was even on both eyes and the same with the brows, the lips were the exact color I asked for... in other words, it was PERFECTION! Most recent visit Mai suggested we laser prior to powdering to remove remaining old color from Micro blading that was done years ago. I am extremely happy with the result. Don't get a lash lift here. My lash lift did absolutely nothing and now down $100. I even followed the after care instructions so there should be no reason why this turned out so bad. Don't get me wrong the tint is quite black but the whole treatment is for a lift... which is clearly not there.
