The quality here totally depends on your service provider. I loved it but the girl I went to left, so then I tried a few more and didn't love them. The rooms are super tiny and you feel like you're in a chain, rather than a cute privately owned business. I ended up changing places and like my new place better. But for convenience, Hello Sugar is great. You can usually get same day or next day appts. And you might luck out with someone great! I have been a member for well over a year now. Prior to this morning, I have not had any complaints. However, my appointment for this morning, which was scheduled at 8:40am, was abruptly cancelled at extremely late notice. I was already entering the parking lot of HelloSugar at 8:33am, when I received a notification stating that my esthetician was sick and could not make my appointment. Therefore, I was given no other option but to reschedule, even though I was at the appointment at the scheduled time. When contacting customer service, they were able to reschedule me, but not until much later at 1:15pm. This was a major inconvenience to my day, and it has left me extremely dissatisfied. read more

I had a few unpleasant experiences at another location & with the reservations aspect. However, I decided to give it another go at a location next to my office & lucked up with Nijera. Bless her for being understanding & patient as I asked her the "3 Degree" questions regarding her experience & such. I struggle with "1st times" especially when it comes to self-care. The beauty of it, Nijera was amazing & I was satisfied with my sugaring services. I look forward to future visits while I'm in town. Kudos to the cleanliness of her treatment room. I did sign up for a membership that offers small discounts, but not enough for an impact. Thanks to real-time technology, you call the location & someone responds via text to assist in setting your appointment. The space is small, yet cleaned & on today Brooklyn was at the front desk with a welcoming spirit. Easy check-in, contactless payment options & high sugaring/waxing products. I've been sugared before at other places, but this was my first time here. I got a bunch of services done and they give a big discount for your first time w them. So I got the discount which made it worth it but prob wont go back (now that I dont get that discount) unless I'm in a pinch. Girl was cool. Sugar is messy, so there was sugar on the walls. I don't remember there being sugar on the walls of my other place but maybe there was. The place is not as fancy as some other sugar places. It definitely doesnt have the spa vibe other places have. But they were quick and immediately went to work. This time it hurt much more than the other place I've been. But I was there for the discount. Also, I know it depends on the length of your hair, so it's not really fair to compare the pain. But when I got home, I looked at my Brazilian and they were patches that were missed. Also now they require a deposit. The lady over phone said that's a new policy. All in all the experience was very meh. Definitely not worth it if you're not a first time customer getting the big discount. I think I'm going to look for a new place. read more

Loved it! Got my first Brazilian with Kylei, she was super kind and explained the entire process to me as she was doing it, which was super helpful. When you see those extreme videos of people thrashing on the tables you end up being nervous yourself, but it was honestly not bad in the slightest. I would rate it a 3/10 max on the pain scale! She made it a quick, easy, calming self care day that was very much needed and appreciated! read more

I wasn't going to leave a review but since I was sent multiple emails asking I will leave one. My experience was bad. The waxer that I had needs to learn a new waxing techniques. The strips she was doing were very large causing the wax to be more painful than it needed to be. I am not sure if that is their standard of waxing at this location but it was extremely painful and I have gotten plenty of waxes before. This was by far the worst. I don't usually complain, I just don't go back. But since I have a membership, here it goes. The closest location to my house is 30 minutes, 45 in rush hour traffic. I put on the numbing cream, drove there, and waited in the lobby for 15 minutes. Finally, someone came out of the rooms and said they couldn't find my esthetician, they must have gone home sick. So I drove home and I get to do all of this again late Friday afternoon. I am really mad because I got a text early today reminding me I would be charged for not showing.
