If I could leave 6 out of 5 stars I would. The services I received from Amanda were the sensitive skin facial, and the eyelash tint/lift before my wedding. The second you walk in the room, all stress lifts away, and you are greeted with a calm reassuring voice. My skin is very sensitive , and Amanda made sure to be as helpful as possible addressing my skin concerns, using high quality products that were correct for my skin sensitivities. I even got a keratin treatment the day before (my fault for the timing) and I asked her if it was possible to keep my hair dry since your not supposed to get it wet for 72 hours after keratin. Highly recommend! I have short, light eyelashes that grow straight down and in all different directions and I had been spend a lot of time curling them every morning, which I know was damaging. I decided to see Amanda for lash lift and tint and am thrilled with the results! It's only been a few days but it's been SO nice to simplify makeup routine in the morning! So, I've never been to this place. But my experience prior to even coming to my appointment was so awful that I ended up canceling my services and went to another business. I went to their website and went to the "book now" section, since I knew what I wanted to get done. As I went through the process of booking, there was a note saying if you are a new client, you need to book a consult. Makes sense given the first appointment is usually a consultation and then the services. So, I booked that, even though I needed a lamination and a lip wax. Fast forward to the day of the appointment. I get a text from Amanda, who was the person I booked, and come to find out, the Owner of the salon. I let her know I also needed to get a lamination and lip wax. She replied back saying I "should have" booked the lamination and lip wax if that was what I wanted. I replied back with why I booked the consult (because the website said it was necessary). She replied back with screenshots from the SERVICES section of her website, circling in yellow the small note under the brow lamination that says consult is not needed for this service. I replied back that on the section I WENT TO, that was not noted. I also stated that I would like to cancel my appt (bc I was not happy with how this had been handled), and to go ahead and please charge me the 50% fee of services required for a cancellation within 24 hours of the appt time ($17.50). I assumed at this point she would say something like "oh, thanks for letting me know about the site! Sorry about the misunderstanding!" Or something like that. Instead she replied back with...wait for it... this is the best part...that she couldn't charge my card on file so I needed to VENMO HER the $17.50. I was SHOOK! What business owner has someone VENMO them for $17.50 over something that technically isn't even my fault?! The point isn't about the money. I'll give you $17.50 all day long. The point is, the customer service. Or in this case, the SEVERE lack of. The whole scenario was just tacky and the lack of care for the customer was something I've literally never experienced before. Anyways, I Venmo'd Amanda the $17.50....and found another brow place :) read more
