You know, I am secure enough in my masculinity to say I like to be pampered. I am all about massages, facials, manicures, and pedicures. I wish I would have gotten into them earlier in life, but hey it's never too late right? That being said, when I lived in Southern California I had a few places that I would go to that were really inexpensive. I say that because sometimes I'm in a hurry and just want to get a fast pedicure. You know, a nail salon is a nail salon as a nail salon. Until it isn't. I thought I was going to some average strip mall nail salon while I was stuck in the Phoenix area, waiting for my car to get fixed. But I was pleasantly surprised by this place. For one, everything is very neat and very tidy. The pedicure chairs are very recent, and stylish with glass footballs. I know it's a little thing, but it shows pride in ownership and the image the store wants to put out there. I will say, the basic men's pedicure is $33. That is about double of what I normally pay back in Southern California when I go. So I was eager to see what the extra money would get me. I will say this. My technician was really awesome. Sweet middle-aged Asian lady, who was very mindful to make this a pleasant experience. Some pedicure places get a little bit rough with the tools, she was very gentle, and dare I say loving as she was taking care of my feet. Pedicure for sure. I got to brag on the massage chairs. They seemed like they were updated and new. You know those massage chairs where you feel like someone is barely tapping your back? Not this one. This one felt like someone was actually rubbing out the knots in my back. I could have stayed there all day if they would have let me. The basic men's pedicure also included a foot and leg massage.. definitely not long enough, but what a great treat at the end of your pedicure. Bottom line? If I am ever back in Arizona in this area again this is going to be my go-to place to get my toenails done. You definitely owe it to yourself to go check this place out, you will not regret it! read more

Please avoid this salon if you care about quality, professionalism, and basic hygiene. I went in to have my nails done for my wedding this weekend and left with a truly disappointing experience. To give context, during my previous visit I got a fill and pedicure. The nail tech was cold and uncommunicative, which made the appointment uncomfortable. After that visit, my toe became severely infected -- swollen and filled with green pus -- yet I decided to give them another chance since I'd been a regular customer for a few months. Fast forward to today: I requested a fill and pedicure again. The woman doing my pedicure was rough and caused me pain early on. When I flinched, she gave me a look and began talking to another employee while both glanced my way, which felt unprofessional. Then, the nail tech who was supposed to do my manicure came over and tossed my shoes across me instead of setting them aside properly -- something that immediately struck me as rude. During the manicure, I mentioned that my wedding was coming up, and while the conversation seemed pleasant, I noticed one of my middle nails was visibly crooked after she finished. When I pointed it out, her first reaction was to file it down -- even though the polish was uneven and filing wouldn't have corrected it. I explained this, but she insisted she couldn't fix it. When I went to pay, the gentleman at the desk saw I was upset and offered to "fix" it, but the result looked exactly the same. He then offered me chrome polish (which I declined) and a $10 gift card as compensation. Frankly, that felt insulting after receiving poor service, a visibly crooked nail, and a prior toe infection. To make matters worse, they also cured gel directly onto my skin -- something any trained professional should know can cause allergic reactions. I will not be returning. Between the infection, unprofessional behavior, and careless technique, this salon has completely lost my trust. read more

Nice staff, really nice salon. Prices seem reasonable EXCEPT for the $20. For gel polish, this was the highest price i have ever paid for gel polish on my toes! It was nothing special, just a plain color! Pedicures start at $45. whch i thought was reasonable considering the astranaumicle increase with the bs inflation! They didnt even mind that i had brought my little puppy, Thank you!! I guess if the expensive polish is my only complaint, then this nail salon is worth going to! Sadly I won't be returning here. I went in for a dip manicure a couple weeks ago, and within 2-3 days, 2 of my nails were already falling off. I went back in to get it corrected (which they did at no cost) but then didn't bother to check the others and then 2 more of my nails fell off a couple days later. I am visiting Arizona and I came across this place on yelp. I called last minute and to my surprise they gave me an appointment. Upon arriving I was surprised at how many chairs they have which was pretty nice. My appointment was at 3 but ended up actually giving me a chair at 3:20. They seat you in these nice massage chairs for pedicures which are amazing. They have you pick from a menu and I choose the deluxe pedi. I went in for a simple gel take off and regular nail polish manicure. I figured since it was an easy service that this would be great experience! Unfortunately, the service was rude, painful and disrespectful. I was paired with a gentleman who didn't know how to approach my nail take off. He asked his coworkers what to do and proceeded to drill and soak my gel nails off. This is usually a painless process, but the drilling was intense! It hurt so much I started flinching. The man was sorry, but kept doing it. After this, he noted "this is very hard," as he was unfamiliar with a gel take off. After about 3 drill and soak sessions, I was handed off to another tech. She reduced the intensity on the drill and changed the attachment. This significantly reduced the pain in my nails!! After she was done, I was handed off to another nail tech. Before polishing me off, she asked me to pay. I've never had this happen to me and I thought it was odd?? There was a line too so I didn't know why she wanted me to at first. After this, she polished my nails and cleaned up the cuticles. Before leaving, she set up this mini fan for my polish to dry. She instructs me to wave my hands up in front of the fan for them to dry. As I move my hands up, she softly says "thank you," and leaves. I was kind of confused because my regular tech usually finishes with cuticle oil, lotion or a hand wash, but this tech literally just left. Shoutout to the kind receptionist who clarified that the tech just moved onto another client! The receptionist was very nice! She assured me "take your time drying your nails." Before leaving, the original gentleman helping me came up to me and took the fan... Nonetheless, please save your money and time! This place is highly unprofessional and requires additional training! My nails were decent, but are literally in pain still from the drilling. read more

I've been here a few times and I have had positive experiences. Today not so much. I got a full set gel manicure and then I got a gel pedicure. I got a bit of an older woman and I was patient with her. I had asked her several times to clean my cuticles, cut my nails and clean up my toenails. She painted my toes and didn't even do any of it. She didn't cut my toe nails until after she had already painted!! I was visibly upset and really holding it in because I didn't want to make this woman feel bad or anything. So anyways when I went to the front to discuss the issues. The front desk clerk was very rude and not understanding. He said well they look clean to me when it fact they didn't. I like clean looking edges and when my toenails look equal. Anyways he wasn't listening and ultimately didn't care. Really bad service and I probably heard 2-3 other girls complain in that same hour. Just read the response from the owner and it left me even more baffled. I believe it displayed the exact service I received. I happily paid for my gel full set and left a tip. I do not need a discount. I just believe if you pay for a service you should receive what you paid for. I paid $53 dollars for a pedicure so I sure hope my service feels like $53 dollars and it sure didn't. While I was there, 2 other girls complained and all he did was answer with an attitude and very condescending. His response truly displays his character. When they finally started, they rushed through everything cut my finger, got glue all over my skin, and didn't remove it. I've been going to Tommy for the past few months, he is absolutely amazing. I developed a really bad allergy from doing my own nails at home and my fingers would get easily irritated! I've been coming to Tommy and getting a full set of acrylics my cuticles did not get irritated. Best part they lasted a whole month!!! I drive by this place all the time. Finally I decided to check it out. The place is pretty big and looks super new because everything was so clean. I asked for a gel mani and the girl who did it was phenomenal. She took a lot of extra time to clean my nail bed and my cuticles. A lot longer than most nail techs. They also have a pretty extensive gel color collection. They also have dip and sparkle gel polish. They don't offer complimentary drinks but they do have water bottles they give out if you ask for it. I'm gonna need a pedicure soon so I'll definitely go here again. I went for a mani pedi and chose my colors. I did not use gel polish on my toes, which costs about $20 more for a pedicure that doesn't last any longer than a normal one. Neither female who worked on me could speak English, they were masked, and made no eye contact with me at all. When I discussed the nail color from my toes, the man who spoke English and was clearly the boss came over and there was discussion that was confusing to say the least. My toes turned out a very different color and I called to get them repainted today and got a ton of crap that they had told me it would be different blah blah blah. What company does not want you to be a satisfied customer? I am not going to anymore spas where I can't speak my native language with the people and if they don't like it, tough. I called back again today and the guy answered, when I began to talk after he asked me for my phone number he interrupted me and started to lecture me about the color of the nails.
