I have ben going to Du Nails every 4 to 6 weeks for over 35 years. Mai, who has recently left, always did an excellent job. I have never had a bad experience with any of the staff. Everyone is always pleasant and accomodating. read more

They have done a way better job than Milano next door. Service is simple but excellent.

I have been a loyal customer for a number of years & recommended Van and the Salon to others. I made an appointment for today at noon. I show up, only to be told Van was running about 30 minutes late. The owner asked if I wanted to come back. No enticement to return offered. I could not return today. I called upon my return home and spoke to the owner, and expressed my upset to him. I told him he should have at least called me ahead of time and or offered a gesture of goodwill to entice me back. He said, he doesn't have anyone's phone # and then hung up on me! WOW! A loyal customer lost. Shame as I liked Van a lot. There's another nail salon recently open in the same center, maybe it's time to try there. Terrible way to do business. read more

Hannah did my nails and I am very satisfied. Great price on ombré nails and she took her time which I appreciate. Lots of people for Saturday and Men came in too for pedis. Customers are treated very well and true appreciation from the techs. I recommend this shop it's been open for over 15 years. Same owner so that says a lot. They always have staff working And open 6 days a week closed Mondays. read more

Du Nails - Nail Salons Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Bob E. As an old man, I have a hard time reaching my toenails so several months ago II went to Du Nails for a pedicure. Wow, what a great experience. Since then I go once a month. The atmosphere is very clean and one feels like they are in paradise. Great service and a great experience. read more

Went in for manicure pedicure they did excellent job! I'd go back. I called They got me right in. The massage chair was awesome. Staff was great read more

The staff was extremely rude the moment I came in. I have never felt so unwelcome at an establishment before. Extremely unprofessional.

Love this place when in Phoenix! They can be slow but it is so worth it. Pedi or mani, all terrific! I know this review is short but needless to say my sister got me coming here and I've never been unhappy! Thank you all! Until next time! read more

I scheduled an appointment for 245 for myself (mani/pedi) and my 2 daughters (paint on toes and fingers). At 330 we were still sitting there waiting when I finally said something about having an appt at 245. They had my daughters sit in a manicure chair and put their color on-no base or top coat. The paint was smeared all over their skin so when we were checking out I had to have someone come and clean the paint up. Because they were so behind I wasn't able to get my nails done. They pretty much rushed us out with no time for their nails to dry. This is actually the second time I have experienced this in Du Nails. This is probably my first yelp review ever. I don't ever complain but stiff like this makes me furious. What a waste of time and money. read more

I have been going to DU nails for years! They do quality work for a reasonable price. If for any reason you have a problem, they are quick to fix it! They are also locally owned, which I think is important. read more

I got a pedicure on a Saturday (first time here) and they rushed so much that my two big toe nails looked so bad. I didn't notice until I got home. Well they're closed on Sundays so I went back on a Monday to have them fix it because I paid a great tip...(Google said they were open Mondays) and they were CLOSED when I showed up. I drove all that way. I'm so upset and will probably not be back. read more

My family and I have been coming to this salon for 15 years and have nothing but good things to say. It has been a family run business from the start and you always feel very welcome walking in. The reviews I see about the service are very confusing because I have always been greeted instantly and no trouble waiting! The pedicures are always amazing, no complaints! Wish I could give more than 5 stars. read more

Did they change ownership? I would have recommended it about 2 years ago. I went back in a pinch when I couldn't get into my regular place. Not the standard I'm used to. Will not be back. read more

Paid over $100 for my wife's nails for a mediocre, rushes pedi and mani job. The mani was a bad job the nails were not placed correctly and the color started to come off the same day. The pedi was even worse the nails were cut incorrectly causing several ingrown toe nails. Taking our business elsewhere next time we are In the area. read more

Been going for years but making an appointment is pointless. You still wait!! Super nice but not well organized

We go here when we can, but it's never often enough. ;) We've been going here for years & I have no complaints. Everyone is nice, they always squeeze us in, they're quick & they really do a great job. read more

Du Nails - Full set with gel manicure - approx 45-60 minutes (nails were already bare and short though). - Nail Salons Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Du Nails is a busy little shop in an easily accessible plaza. The parking is adequate, and the location is good. It's in the same plaza as Pei Wei, Sauce, and Safeway, so it is easy to run errands while waiting for your appointment... or to get your nails done before picking up carryout. The shop has the ambiance of a garage. There is no attempt to decorate or provide comfort. This is a place to get the job done as fast as possible, so don't expect to come out feeling relaxed or better about anything except being able to check another errand off your list. The technicians do an adequate and totally impersonal job at applying and polishing acrylic nails. They have Spa chairs for pedicures. Their pedicures are better than the nail services, but the garagelike atmosphere really detracts from the experience. The thing that struck me here is that they are geared to provide one kind of service. They are good at applying a tip and covering it with acrylic. If you want tips applied for a special event, or are happy with polish instead of a pink and white look, and do not need a lot of atmosphere, i would recommend them. They do not backfill well, and they do not want any client who requires more than their regularly allotted time to do nails. The only person in the shop who does sculpts without tips is the owner, Du.... and he seems to prefer not maintaining clients. I have sculpts instead of tips, and he did not want to do my nails after a couple of weeks because "it took too long." I have 2 friends who tried his shop. The first time they went to him. When they returned to have their nails filled, he had another tech do the job and they were less than happy with the work. read more

They always do a great job. Prices are super reasonable. Staff is consistent and most have been working there a long time. They take most walk ins but I always just call ahead and they'll usually fit you in whenever you want to come in that day. read more

This nail salon, specifically Du, the owner, saved me today! After an amazingly horrible experience at Wendy's nails, I went to Du Nails. Best end product I have had in a very long time. Great customer service. Nice people who seemed to care that I am a paying customer. Very UNLIKE Wendy's Nails where the manager ignores you if you happen to walk in when she's playing with her phone!! Additionally, I was NOT charged to have my acrylics removed just because I had a different shop do them last time. I am so happy my nail experience ended with Du. I had almost given up. Maybe Du could head over to (that miserable place named above) and give them some tips (no pun intended) on how to treat people!!!! read more

Let me preface this review by saying I went there for years, off and on, before Today. Du himself is a FINE nail tech and does excellent work. However. I attempted on my last visit to make an appointment for the fill I wanted today. He said "no, you no need appointment, just come in." I reiterated my desire for an appointment and a second time he refused to make an appointment for me, instead insisting that it'd be fine if I just came in. So I (like an idiot) listened to him, and arrived today at 10am. He said "30 minute wait." Grudgingly, I accepted this. By the time 50 minutes had passed and 5 clients (who all had appointments, btw) were taken in past me I lost my patience and called him out. "What you want me to do?" was his only reply. Du, I want you to take ANY APPOINTMENT A CLIENT REQUESTS and NEVER turn down an appointment because that means LOST INCOME.... because sure as the sun shines in Phoenix, I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. PS - he says they open at 9am but on 5/28/13 at 9:15 AM when I pulled into the parking lot the lights were OFF and no one was there. When I mentioned this he pshaw'd me and told me I was wrong. My check-in at another salon half a mile down the road at 9:20 would suggest not. read more

Great job! They were able to fit me in as a walk in even though they were very busy. The pedi was great and the fill was even better. Finally after many tries I found a place that didn't cut me with the drill. I will absolutely be back. Everyone was so friendly and knew each other by names. Whenever I'm in Phoenix I go out of my way to get a spa pedicure at Du Nails! Du is charming and a great tech himself, and all the folks who work at the salon do a great job. Prices are great and the space is simple and relaxing. See you soon! read more

awful....simple manicure cut my cuticles twice...the equipment is old and rundown...don't go!

I've been here three times throughout the span of 6 months and not once did they have time to do my nails. The excuse is "honey, you're going to be waiting a long time". There has always been one customer in the chair getting their nails done and no one waiting in the lobby. This makes no sense to me at all. Let's work on getting nail techs in there if you can't handle the customer volume that walks in. read more

Got my eyebrows waxed only. Old waxing table. Reasonably priced. Very nice woman. I tipped well.

I like this place ! I always get my nails done by Mr. Du himself. He is the best. Talkative and sweet and he does a really good job.

I'm sitting in a pedicure chair now. I called for an appointment for a pedicure and manicure at the same time since I am on lunch. They said sure come at 12. Got here at 12 and they said they can't do them both at the same time. One after another. I said no I am on lunch, that's why I called. So I said fine just pedicure. They have been chit chatting in some language for the past 20 mins and my pedicure is barely even started. So rude. If they would stop talking and screaming across the room- maybe they could get more done. read more

This nail salon, which used to be a nice neighborhood shop, has fallen. On a day I was pressed for time, I made an appointment. After waiting "just a minute" for 20 minutes, then using the dirty restroom, and being told "2 more minutes," I decided to take my business elsewhere. I will not be returning. read more

I went there three times. All three times I requested a 9:00 AM appointment for manicure and pedicure. I arrived at 8:45 all three times and waited. All three times the staff person who opens, was 10 minutes, 15 minutes and 15 minutes late each of the tree times. The manicurist didn't even apologize for being late. My wife went and was disappointed because she had to wait 20 minutes when she did have an appointment. Maybe Du should open up the shop and watch how many of his employees come in late. My last time. Went into have my legs waxed. Would not go back here for these main reasons: 1. Listed price differed from price I was charged. 2. Aesthetician was not able to provide me with the cost of service when I was in the wax room with her. 3. Wax table was very wobbly. It wiggled around though out the service but thankfully never toppled over. 4. Wax room had a small 1 way mirror such that if you're in the salon someone could be looking at you through the one way mirror opposite the waxing room. 5. The wax service itself was done with a limp hand, very little wax was used on each strip and it felt like my roots were not being taken out. I left feeling like I may as well have shaved instead of taking the time/money to wax. Backstory: Price was listed at $41 but at the end of the apt I was asked to pay $56. The service prices are printed on a flyer at the front of the salon. The flyer listed the cost of a leg wax to be $41. To confirm the cost I asked my aesthetician towards the end of my appointment how much it would be. She said she could not say and she would tell me by the register. On her way to meet me at the register she conversed with a male coworker who was sitting in one of the front waiting chairs, apparently not doing anything. They did not speak in english but were clearly talking about how much my service should cost based on their mannerisms gesturing toward a leg and the word "wax" being used. I am typically comfortable paying $56 plus for a wax but the combination of an ineffective wax job + misinformation regarding pricing left me feeling like I had made a mistake in trying out this salon. read more

Very nice staff and casual atmosphere, I have been coming here for two years And have no plans to change!

My best friend and I both had manicures and pedicures at Du Nails while visiting the area. We both agree, that we had the best mani/pedi experience we have ever had! Staff were friendly and the service was timely. The finished product was impeccable. I will definitely be returning to Du Nails when I am back in town! read more

I had a pedicure with French tips and it was beautifully! I am going to have my legs waxed today and my daughter wants her nails painted. I will keep you posted as to my second experience, however, everyone was very pleasant with me during my first experience and there were several people in the salon that were obviously return customers. read more

Du Nails is a busy little shop in an accessible plaza. That is why I took my niece there last June. Parking however is less that adequate during rush hours and you get the "zip ins and cut throughs" in the Hummers fighting you for space when you are just travelling the lanes searching for a parking space. It's worth fighting if you are going to Trunk or Fluerish though. I took my niece, from a podunk town in the Midwest, for her first manicure/ pedicure at Du Nails after visiting those boutiques next door. Although the prices are clearly posted and lack of English doesn't seem to be a problem I was still hit with a much larger bill than planned and had to argue my way out the door. In the end they took they took it out of their tip and still argued about services rendered. Seemed the "and up" on the price menu means they will hit you with whatever they can get away with on a final tab and render optional services offered everywhere in the valley as free as optional "to pay for" in that salon with a small sign saying it's extra somewhere in the front. Like sea salt rub or callous removal. I opted for sea salt but missed the sign, but as I do pedi's on a regular basis elsewhere, and generally wear real shoes I don't have a callous issue. It wasn't mentioned that they needed extra to attend to my non calloused feet anyway. But my niece added sea salt and they added callous and she got a polka dot design on each toe(a single dot, each in a different color with the big toe getting swirly and whitish in the center) which I guess was $5 per toe as well as a flower on each index finger. My total was $130.00 before tip. For two pedicures, two manicures, a few polka dots. And I had a hangnail when all was said and done! read more
