I stopped in for a manicure and pedicure today and paid fifty. Which I feel is fair. The salon was very clean and the whole experience felt calm. I never felt rushed which means a lot to me especially as a man getting nail services. They took their time and the results look great. read more

I've been getting regular pedicures for 20 years and this is the WORST pedicure I've ever had. $28 and it lasted 14 minutes from start to finish. The 15 minute timer on the massage chair lasted longer than the pedicure. My toe nails are completely crooked and it looks like I let my 5 year old son paint them. read more

I had a frustrating experience at Nu Nail on 12th Street and Northern. The owner made me wait for a whole 30 minutes while she sat there and took care of other customers who arrived after me. She eventually allowed me to get my nails done but then told me to wait so she could start working on the three women who came in after me. I was incredibly annoyed and responded that she had already taken enough of my time. I decided then and there that I won't be returning to that salon again. Poor service! I don't recommend this place, the owner is incompetent and rude. Often she gets on the phone to chat away and is careless. Shame. read more

I was so excited to have somewhere close by that was open on Monday mornings. I upgraded to a deluxe gel pedicure. I have multiple cuts, the polish is see through, the top coat is scuffed on one big toe and then there's polish on the skin of another. If I wasn't hopping on a flight, I would've requested they re do them. read more

I had a mani pedi here. Some parts were pleasant. The things that weren't were: 2 of my fingernails and one of my toenails were nicked, I was charged a rate and then 20 minutes later I was told I was charged the "wrong rate" and I owed another 3 dollars, which they only wanted me to pay in cash or add onto the tip portion of the card they had already charged. I went here because my normal salon was booked and I really wanted to like it. The salon is rather large and had nice pedicure chairs. My spa pedicure turned out great. The gal did a nice job and im happy with my pretty pink toesies! My gel manicure, however, has left me debating if I should go somewhere else to get it fixed. (See photo) I asked for grey and the color is more brown. I also asked the gal not to use an electric nail drill to get my old polish off and soak instead but she did it anyway. My polish is uneven and she didn't get the sides very well. They are also filed uneven. I tried to say something but she didn't speak english very well, so I gave up. Super bummed i'm stuck with these for 2 weeks unless I want to go somewhere else and pay. The price was good - 25 for the pedi and only 20 for the mani and the massage was great, but I certainly wont be back any time soon. read more

I've been here a couple times and I've only seen two ladies work here one of them only knows how to do acrylics which is bizarre to me. I've gotten a full set and pedis before the pedicure was fine just the acrylics were shaped so badly and they painted them horribly as well. Save your money and go some where else. The ladies there are very nice, it is very clean, and I love the sliced oranges they rub on my legs. They have earned my repeat business.

I honestly don't understand the bad reviews this place gets. I hadn't been in for months, after only coming a few times before and my technician remembered me immediately when I walked in. I just had the best experience here! I called ahead for a last minute dip manicure and they were able to fit me in within 10 minutes of getting there. The salon is clean and everyone seemed to know their nail tech, which is always a good sign in my eyes. They usually do a pretty good job on my nails but they don't like it when I bring my kids in. Every time I bring my 8 year old daughter in there to get a pedicure with me, they put us about 3-4 chairs a part!! The whole point in going to get a pedicure with my daughter is to spend quality time with her, hold hands, talk about her friends and boys she likes, etc...Not have to scream to a chair in the distance. They act like they are mad when I ask for us to be together and it is such a bother. Also, the male owner always insists on doing my nails and he is so rough with me and actually gets on to me if my hand isn't loose enough. One thing I really like about this place is the openness - the shop is double sized, which decreases the wait time and also tames the ubiquitous chemical smell - while the smell is present, it's really mild. Even my good friend from St. Paul who frequents only tony "upscale" nail boutiques was impressed. For an extra $5 they will use a callous remover solution on your heels - well worth it if you get the hard, cracked, heels like I have. They also have a mango-sugar leg rub for an extra fee, but I think the regular treatment works just as well. Many of the technicians speak little or no English, so don't expect to make complicated requests. read more

I have been taking my friend who is 91, with Alzheimers, to this nail salon for years. It's larger than it looks from the outside. I don't think they are as sophisticated as some but that's ok. I've been coming to Elle Nails for some time now. This salon has a variety of services including but not limited to waxing and nails. I usually go with the mani/pedi bundle and usually pay around 35$. The ladies here take their time and make sure you are comfortable. They have the typical up-charges like sea salt scrub, callus removal etc... The basic spa pedicure is 20$ this includes an awesome foot massage and your typical spa pedicure. I usually ask who's ever working on my toes to go a little harder on my foot/leg massage and they have no problem doing so. You can also get a back massage while getting a manicure. They have the massage chairs for the pedicure stations so you don't have to worry about that. The ladies that work here are always super friendly and make conversation when I'm visiting. I'm a fan of this place I will continue to keep coming back! read more

I was in a wedding and needed to get my nails done, so the bride and everybody chose this place, probably because they were cheaper. But, depending on the service I got, I'd much rather pay a few extra dollars. The area was kind of ghetto, and the spa itself wasn't very clean or welcoming. They were so understaffed/mismanaged that when I went in, I was greeted by a man who was already working on someone else's nails; he couldn't be bothered to get up and check the schedule or anything. The lady who ended up doing my pedicure was nice, but then the one who ended up doing my nails wasn't very friendly, even though I tried to make small talk with her. Their magazine choices were also limited to OK and People, so if you don't care for celebrity gossip you're screwed. Overall the service and location were subpar, and the prices weren't all that great, so I will probably not be going back. read more

Caution: DO NOT COME HERE! Unsanitary, unprofessional and unsafe! So I come in because I needed to eat my nails done and my regular place is in Scottsdale and a little far because I was on a time crunch. I called in and they said they could fit me in so I was all good to go. I get there and the place is completely empty which should have been my first clue. Then they sit me down and one of the technicians was ha going over the wall just staring at me. Creepy! My nail tech finally comes over and first thing I noticed, they don't use a new set of clippers and stuff. The past year I've noticed that nice salons will get their tools specially cleaned and will have to open a sterile set each time. These were a not!! Gross! Once the lady got started on my nails she didn't soak my right hand long enough and when she was doing my cuticles she was cutting dry skin. Then she literally cut me. I was bleeding for like 5 min. Once she finally finished doing a hack job on my cuticles she began to paint my nails. Everything seemed fine. Then she started to but the top clear coat on and it left a purple streak on my index finger. She just kept going onto my other nails. I finally said "are you going to fix that" and she acted like it was such an imposition! She started to "fix" it and just put a thick layer of polish on that didn't dry for like 30min. Not only that but when she put the clear coat on it smudged the paint. I was so mad at that point I didn't even care! Worst nail experience I've ever had and she still expected me to pay her. Words cannot describe how bad this place is. You'd do better to go to a beauty school and have a student practice on your nails. The gal actually dropped the drill on my nail, splattered whatever she was taking the gel of with all over me and my clothes and didn't say a word. The nails are not smoothly filed - jagged, snagging on everything and tips aren't even painted. Nails are uneven and butchered - I have pictures. Easy to make an appointment but horrible pedicure. The polish was just thrown on my toenails and looks like clumps of polish rather than brushed on evenly. My nails were also filed slanted. I have had my nails done here for years. Recently, I went to Elle with my daughter and two of her bridesmaids for gel manicures and pedicures. All our nails ended up looking lovely, and the salon was very accommodating in staying open past normal closing time to make sure we were all finished properly. There were some communication issues, and I was cut by the inexperienced tech, but otherwise it was a great experience and we will definitely be continuing our business here. Do not go to this nail shop. My friend and I went there for the the first time this weekend. It took more than three hours for us to get gel manicures and regular pedicures. My friend's nails were so bad that she had the lady redo several of them while we were there. Then her nails chipped the next day so she had to go back. Now three days after my gel manicure my nails are chipping so I'm going back to get them first. Also, I got polka dots on two of my nails and the lady charged me $5 for them. TERREBLE AND WORST PLACE FOR WELCOME YOU..I have coming to Elle Nails as my ultimate option when my regular nail salon is booked. Last night we had the unplease time of the day, I came in and the regular Vietnamese came close to me she was I guess in her days because she didn't respond to my greeting, She was very rude and unrespectfull when I was selecting the nail polish colors for my nails. My daughter 10 years old was helping me to descide wich color, this unprofessional tech told me : If she breaks one bottle YOU have to pay 8 dallas, she said, like my daughter is 3 o 4 years old. She used a rude tone to say that. I selected 5 colors really alike, so I can have a better view when she put a little bit in my nail, Just for that She was so mad at me rolling her eyes and telling me how much colors I needed to decide. That makes me feel very uncomfortable and I told her to be nice and take it easy...and she keep moving her head saying no!! I was about to leave and she stand up!! And with a VERY VERY UNPROFETIONAL MANER told me "I DON'T LIKE YOU" and didn't take off the colors samples of my nails, she said you can leave I won't take it off..so I needed to look for the cotton to do it my,self. I asked for the manager's name or phone # to the lady who was next to us and she said "no manager,today " California" .. And didn't even Look at me.. Meanwhile the unrespectfull,unprofetional tech told me to SHUT UP! In fron of my daughter,!! that is terrible! and Embarrassing!!
