Booked a couples massage and couples facials for my birthday and have been looking forward to it for weeks! Payed $600+ in advance, made work and sitter accommodations, confirmed the night before. However, unsure sure how the actual services are because they cancelled my facial hours before our appointment. They offered trying to find an aesthetician AFTER we called to get a refund. Why wouldn't that be something that was done before contacting me and cancelling my appointment? We ended up cancelling our entire visit. I could've booked elsewhere and received exactly what we asked for, instead, because it was last minute, my entire day is wasted. Feeling disappointed and pissed off. Giving 3 stars because they were apologetic and still willing to do the massages. read more

Overall, I'm quite happy with my experience and may come back. I got a same-day appointment online for a shorter massage and gua sha enhancement for a reasonable price. The treatment was nice! My only not so stellar experience with her was she had no idea what kind of oil she was using when I asked her. That was very strange. She said she would have to ask and get back to me. They have a monthly membership they push, and it was mentioned to me several times. If you have never been to a spa before, it's quite common to be upsold on products and services. I'm familiar with it, and I have no problem saying no, but want to mention to folks who are considering coming who may not be familiar so it's not surprising when it happens. Typically they stop if you say no, and this was my experience here so it was fine. The location is awesome and there is enough to do here to keep you occupied for a couple hours. You could really make a whole day of it if you get a couple services, want to do some shopping or browsing, and a meal. Speaking of food, it's worth mentioning they have a little tea and snack bar in the lobby. The furniture here is not that comfortable and does not feel cozy. I don't think they designed it to actually keep people here longer than a few mins, so it's not a spa lounge by any means but has the basics you'd expect for spa treats like water, tea, and a few snacks. I may be back! Admittedly, we are pretty spoiled for choice here in Phoenix of nice spas. But the location here really is good! read more

We were greeted with snacks and flavored water and tea and then when we got into the room, the screen said Happy Birthday, there were treats on the table, three full blown massage chairs and even one alcoholic drink per person. And the MASSAGE. I think they probably know this (I certainly hope they do), but Nick was one of my favorite massage therapists that I've ever had. The massage was fine. They started it 15 minutes late, which wouldn't be a big deal but I could tell she was rushing through it. Once I finished, I saw it was only 40 minutes past when we started. When she rang me up and I asked why they were charging me for an hour when it was 45 minutes (which was being generous), she with a huge attitude said "well if it's going to be an issue I guess I can discount you" while trying to shame me for calling out the timing. Cool ones too: You come in and get to chill in the living room area there is an area that you can get flavored water and hot tea if you want; they walked me pass a lounge area, then took me the Chill Lounge. I was very excited to spend my Mother's Day morning at Clovr. I walked in and was greeted right away. They had me fill out a short waiver and I showed me the refreshments. Everything was decorated so cute. As far as refreshments went, there really wasn't anything for me. They had two drink option but both had artificial sweeteners so I had to pass. The snack they had was gummy bear fruit snacks. Which was just strange for a spa in my opinion. I didn't have anything. I did ask for water and it was room temperature with no option for ice. I booked a facial and mani pedi. My facial was great. I felt truly relaxed and my skin felt wonderful after. I was walked over to the massage chair room after to wait for my next technician. It was a great waiting area. Next I had my mani and my pedi which is where I was very disappointed. My technician did apologize for stating late, which I understand happens but that didn't bother me as I was not in a rush. What bothered me was how fast my service was. I looked online after the fact and saw my facial should have lasted an hour, my mani a half hour and my pedi 45 minutes. I looked at the clock when my mani started and she was finished in 16 minutes. My whole spa experience from checking in a few minutes before my appointment was to start, my 3 services, my time in the massage room, checking out and browsing for items all took 2 hours. I left feeling like they hurried me out which is truly unacceptable for what I am paying and tipping. Edit: Emily, a manager reached out an sincerely apologized for my experience and offered to make it right. Scheduling any service is so incredibly easy. I went for a manicure at first, because I'm obsessed with how Dazzle Dry has helped my nails, and got more information on their membership. After some time of reflecting, and needing an esthetician to help my skin for my wedding next year, I booked a facial and got the membership- mainly because of the services but also because of the positive employees, cleanliness, and amenities!! Let me just say, first of all, Sam (who did my facial) is the most incredible, intentional, personable, and respectful esthetician I have ever met. She gave such a thorough consultation, coupled with the most relaxing facial based on my preferences/needs, and followed up with recommendations that fit my budget. It's safe to say that Sam will be my esthetician for as long as possible!! As for the membership- it's totally worth it. It pays into the services you know you'll be getting, rolls over monthly, and has no strings attached. It's a nice nail salon but they really messed up my boyfriends feet. They rubbed it raw and he could not wear shoes comfortably for two weeks. They luckily gave us a refund for his pedicure but it was disappointing. My pedicure turned out ok but it seemed like she rushed through it. I would go back just due to location but service does not meet the price. I liked the room with massage chairs but the chairs you sit in for the manicure pedicure are just normal recliners. read more

After a tough night with an achy neck and shoulder, I decided to book a massage at Clovr Life Spa at their (extremely convenient) Uptown location. The booking was done online and it was super easy which is good because I was a grouch and didn't want to call...I selected "any" masseuse and normally only choose women, but honestly it didn't matter. I arrived at the spa today and was greeted warmly and was told Jay would be working with me. Can I just stop and say that as a 64 year old woman, I've had maaannnny massages but he takes the prize!!!! I have so many knots and was a little embarrassed because they were deep but Jay was fantastic and I HIGHLY recommend him!!! I come to Clovr for pedicures and gel manicures. Noelle 5/5. Staff 5/5. Atmosphere 5/5. Nail Pricing 3/5. My day 10 manicure from Noelle is still looking awesome. I like that she asks you if you are happy with your color, nail shape, etc throughout the appointment. I like that the gel isn't as damaging as some other brands I've used. The gel polish is also not as thick, so it's not nearly as noticeable when it's growing out. I included pictures from day 10 for reference. I did get gloves for dishwashing and a scalp massager for washing my hair to extend my manicure which has been really helpful! The regular polish (not gel) is so/so for me. It's a healthy alternative which is great, but it definitely doesn't last as long. I normally can go a few weeks with no chips to my pedicure. This one lasts only a few days. I like the color options for both the gel and regular, but it's a bummer you can't match. Member pricing is great, except for all the gel add ons. At other salons, the up charge for gel is only $10 (maybe $15) to upgrade to gel. I've also only ever been charged in the past for removal of gel that was applied outside the shop. The $5 removal when I've been exclusively coming to CLOVR really bothers me. If you want a massage with your gel manicure the total cost is $53. It's not really a discounted price compared to other places, but it's being marketed as such. It's a great atmosphere. I like the staff. They're constantly checking in to see if you need anything. The massage chairs in the relaxation room are amazing. I just wish the add ons were consistent with other market prices. read more

My mantra is - it's always better to give than receive, but when your GF gifts you a massage as CLOVR for Valentines Day, it's rude to decline. I've only had a few (professional) massages in my life so I'm far from an expert. The massage was the lightest in terms of intensity even though I did request her to crank it up a notch when asked. I did feel my masseuse was the best I've had from a technical perspective. I don't know her name but she was clearly advanced. She was rotating and laterally flexing the thoracics, performing gentle cercival traction, and slightly tilting my pelvis anteriorly and posteriorly to hit the right spots. I did feel she went a little heavy on the lotion though. I'm probably not going to need lotion on my body for the next week. Overall a great massage though. read more
