Kim the owner is very friendly and sweet. I have been to many nail places and left disappointed, had my nails lift weeks later and be shaped different sizes. Now that I have been going to shiny nails, I love my nails, they never lift and they are perfect! Prices are very reasonable as well. I am usually not one to write reviews, but this one is worth sharing. Yesterday I was the last costumer at the establishment and while I should have payed attention when I was handed my belongings that I wasn't handed my car keys it shouldn't have ended in my car staying at the plaza over night until "They open at 10am on Sundays and I can look for my keys then." I noticed I didn't have my keys at 6:05. From five minutes after operation time until around 6:55pm, I and my young daughter waited there while myself and the security officer tried to contact them. The security officer was very helpful, he even contacted property management but they had the same unreliable number himself and I tired contacting apart from the number that is posted in the front of their business that must be so old it turned out to not have any relation to the establishment when being contacted. Thanks to the security officer going above and beyond by not only reassuring me he would keep an eye on my car until his shift was over he also went to the neighboring shop to see if they had another number to reach the nail salon personnel. After calling the given number three times and leaving a voicemail on the third time they finally reached out to me at 7:53 only to tell me no one turned in missing keys (Of course not I was the last one there and they were so eager to leave that they left when I left), that they couldn't go back to the shop so I can look for my keys, and that they open Sunday at 10 and I can go then to look for my keys. Don't worry though they will be about 5 feet away from you to make sure your wireless transfer went through. Also good thing their establishment wasn't on fire because there wouldn't have been a way to communicate them in a timely manner. read more

If i could give 0 stars i would!! I came here for acrylic removal and manicure. This place is racist and extremely lacks customer service. I told the guy that was doing my nails that one of them was crooked and not trimmed right, he then starts laughing and starts speaking in Vietnamese to his other coworkers. I walked in for a regular pedicure. Younger lady attended me but she was so rude. It seemed like I was inconveniencing her. If walk ins don't work, only do appointments. One of the males who works here (which I assume is the owner) is the worst of them all. He has no kindness in his voice, and always treats me awful when I've come. Alex did my pedi and even though they were closing already, he still took his time during the message part, which release a lot of the energy I had and made me relax. Hannah is also the best one in this business. If you are looking for a pedi she is the expert fixing the shape of the nail, taking out the ingrown toenails, and making great flower designs. Great little place for a manicure or pedicure. Manicure is $10 and Pedicure is $16. The place is very clean. There are plenty of people working, so there is rarely a wait. My pedicures are always good. It is the same no matter who is my technician. I appreciate not having to wait for favorite techs because they are all good. The techs speak almost exclusively English. I only mention this because I read a lot of complaints in other reviews for other places about people who think the nail techs are talking about them because they are speaking Vietnamese. I never have believed that, but some people do. In this place, they speak mostly English, even when it is not necessary. That might make some people more comfortable. I like this place a lot. I find myself wanting to go back for a mani or pedi earlier than needed because they do such a nice job. read more

I love this place so much. The prices are amazing and you get quality work for the price! In all honesty this is the only place in phoenix I'll come to get my eyebrows waxed. The older lady that works there always does my eyebrows for me and she does an amazing job each time. She knows how to arch them just right and actually trims my eyebrows as well so they look neat and up-kept. I've had my eyebrows waxed in other places in phoenix but it's just not the same. I went with my mom and sister to get pedicures. The pedicure was less than 15 minutes. They hurt my mom's toe cutting it. But the worst part was they used the same scrubby on my sisters feet then used it on my feet. Then used that scrubby to clean the tub afterwards. I have the nasty habit of biting my nails thanks to anxiety. I decided to have tips put on so I can kick the habit. Based on the reviews for Shiny Nails and it's close proximity to my home, I decided to try them. That was a mistake. I walked in and the place had so may stations crammed into the room it was like a can of sardines. The nail tech was so rude and kept making comments about how disgusting the habit is and asking why. When I told him it was due to anxiety his comment was "you have kids? No kids, you have no reason for anxiety. Go on YouTube and watch video of what under nails. you stop biting." I felt so judged and so shamed, I couldn't wait to leave. If I wanted to be shamed during my service, I'd have my mother do my nails. He also asked me why I had chosen them. I told him why and he mentioned that there was another nail salon that is closer to me but said "they no have good reviews. we have good reviews. we make sure of it." Lastly, the color he grab was not at all the color I wanted but I wanted to get out of that chair so badly I just let it go. No one greeted us, they clearly had a problem with us bring the baby and his stroller. I called ahead of time and was told to come in because they do not take appointments, only walk ins. I go in and ask for a mani/ pedi and a male (didn't confirm name) tells me that if I am not VIP they can not help me because he has appointments coming in. They close at 6PM, told me to come in at 3:30 then turned me away at 4PM. This is not the first time.
