Horrible. I'm in tears. I came in asked for a gel manicure. They first attempted to tell me the gel polish I had was acrylic or something else. Then the person doing my nails couldn't do a simple French tip, only one coat applied, I asked for an open heart outline and got two mini hearts. I'm really not happy that I'm here for a review, but after todays appointment, it's necessary (for reference, I've been going here for over a year now) The guy who did my nails today? What the actual hell ! He never put a towel down to catch any clippings or dust, dumped all the nail file dust on the floor and my shoes, made me feel like it was too much to ask for short narrow round nails as my shape and didn't even paint the entire nail on most of my nails.. there's also a lot of acrylic up under my nails digging into my skin. None of the nails were the same shape. Some were shorter than others.. I also never mind if my nail tech checks their phone, but this guys phone went off twice and when he checked his phone, he actually sat back and was on it for a good couple minutes as if he forgot I'm sitting right in front of him, then continued.. My nails were rushed and it shows (photos for reference) Time for me to find a new nail salon. I've came here a few times and I've usually had a good experience recently on the same guy who does my nails. I had a terrible experience. He was very rude because I asked him to fix like the polish on my nail. He copped the attitude and said that he doesn't wanna do my nails anymore just cause I asked him to Fix the polish cause it was uneven then I get a pedicure and I pay $50 for the pedicure plus $15 for the jail and literally my toes. Terrible experience. The nail tech cut my toe during a pedicure. The next day it was clear my foot was infected. A trip to urgent care confirmed this where a dr diagnosed the infected toe and prescribed a week of antibiotics, which is due to equipment not being properly cleaned (gross!) I called the salon and requested a refund as I had to spend $100 on the urgent care visit as well as antibiotics. Not only did the salon owner refuse the refund she stated I had an ingrown toe nail and wanted me to come back to the salon so she could remove it. Why in the world would I go back to the place that infected my toe? Not to mention she's diagnosing me over the phone? I explained a physician had already diagnosed the toe. After the trip the urgent care I ended up spending $148, that's a lot for a pedicure that lead to infection. I'll be contacting the better business bureau: Bbb.org/us/az To file a complaint as well as the Arizona Board of Barbering and Cosmetology Bcb.az.gov If you had a negative or unsafe experience like me I strongly suggest you file a complaint with both of these agencies! read more

Love this place. I've been going here for a year now. I ventured out to other nail places around Norterra area but regretted as they never lasted. I can go 3-4 weeks without a fill (don't recommend) and still get compliments on my nails. Ellie is my go to for my manicure, full set or fill. I came in for a full set and regular polish on my toes. The guy who did my toes was super friendly and patient. Even though it was just polish he made sure it looked good and took his time. When it got to my hands it was completely different. I got sat near this other lady who was getting just gel on her nails. The guy who did my nails rushed it so much that I left before the other lady did. My nails were trimmed but my cuticles were not even pushed back. The man I got was kind of rude and just rushing everything. He wouldn't even let my nails cure all the way. I didn't recieve the name of my tech, however, I asked for square shape on my toes, no cut, but to file down and even out my nails. LONG POST BUT I'M TIRED OF THESE GREEDY, RUDE, PEOPLE Decided to give this place another shot yesterday (Mother's Day). Big mistake. They are not passionate about service and act as if they're doing you a favor. Is it because I'm black? My daughter and I are always the only black people every time we have visited. LEAH did my nails. Don't know if the gel polish was cheap or if she wasn't polishing correctly but the polish was uneven, even after 3 layers. She was sloppy, getting polish on my fingers, and not careful. She hit my nails against the UV dryer more than once, causing a dent. I pointed it out to her, she repolished and I let it go. BUT-- I have tiny bubbles on every single one of my nails. Every single one. We get to the pedicure station and it's all attitude. First she makes the water too hot and I tell her it's too hot. She then makes it lukewarm. It's like she's annoyed so she intentionally makes the water unpleasant. After a while, the water gets cold. Duh. So naturally, I ask if she can add more hot water. She ignores me after asking twice... then she says "I don't know. It will overflow." To which I reply "Can you let some water out?" She says "I don't know how." The guy next to her says something and she lets the water out, finally adding in hot water. Just enough for it not to be cold BUT it's still not pleasant at all. As shes doing my pedicure she's asking me if I want a fill. I had acrylic on my big toes and one of my other toenails was cracked. First I say no but after she continues to insist, I oblige. This lady adds acrylic to my toenail, then files it down to the length it was prior to, making it much shorter than the matching toenail on my other foot. Why? I'm paying you to do this so that it matches. So I ask "Why is it so short? It doesn't match the other foot." She asks "Would you like it longer?" I reply "Yes." And she gets an attitude and says "Next time you get done from someone else since you don't like what I do." What?!!!! I'm paying you to do something and I'm being sweet about it. Not even pointing out all the things I have an issue with. It's not what I want. You ask if I want you to fix it and then get mad when I say yes. Mind you, you did a terrible job on my nails and I let it go. Now that I'm speaking up about my pedicure, it's a problem? Nonetheless, she finishes, below standard. I pay for the deluxe, she barely massages me. Acts like she doesn't want to. There's polish smeared on my foot, and she walks away without letting the water out. Again, intentionally rude. Not even meeting a basic standard. My question is-- why do you think you can treat a paying customer that way? Why am I paying for a service that I do not get? Do I have the right to ask you to give me what I'm paying for? &To my earlier statement-- is it because I'm black? So anyways... we pay. I ask my daughter if she feels the people that serviced her deserve a tip. She says no. Once we get in the car she shows me her nails. The edges of her nails were not polished. She goes on to say that she felt like the guy was irritated that he had to do her nails. My kid says this. A middle aged man thats probably been doing nails for years cannot do a simple polish without making my child feel like an inconvenience. The outcome of his work matches the energy of his heart. Her GEL polish that we paid extra for peeled the very next day. She had to repolish herself. Their poor service is literally a physical manifestation of how they feel about you. And we will never go back to this place ever again! And I'll also be reporting them to other channels. Thank goodness the world is waking up and putting places like this out of business. I see it every day on social media. Every last tech in this shop needs to be retrained and properly educated. In an economy where everything is costing more... I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say WE ARE TIRED OF YOU. You want my money? Earn it! Shut this place down! read more

I went here for the first and last time to get a pedicure about two weeks ago. The women that did my pedicure removed my ingrown toenails. while she was removing them, I felt the worst pain. I've had my ingrowns removed many times before but it has never caused me so much pain. It's been two weeks since I had my pedicure and my toe is still throbbing. I had a dermatologist look at my toe and he diagnosed me with paronychia and had to prescribed me antibiotics. I would not recommend this place. read more

Just today I got another acrylic fill- my last appointment had been 29 days prior and all the nails were intact and perfect besides being grown out! If I could give zero stars I would. A worker named Elle or Ella started to scream at me while waxing my lip because I told her she left some hair. I then told her to stop screaming at me and learn how to speak to customers. She did not finish and threw her tweezers in the drawer and said "don't pay I'm done it's free" keep in mind it was not done lol she left so much hair. I was very excited to have this location open up close to home. I got a pedicure and gel manicure on a whim. The prices seem to be very reasonable The locale itself is very beautiful and clean. The techs did a good job overall and there was no up-selling from either which was very refreshing. I was very disappointed by the fast discoloration of my gel manicure. My nails started out a grey-purple color and within 1-2 days it turned into a green color. I've never seen that before and was very annoyed. read more

Had a gift card to check this place out. Place is really upscale looking and very clean. Was not impressed with attitudes of salon workers nor the quality of work done. Nails did not look great at all. Then, when I went to pay with my gift card, they informed me that their computers were off for the day and they expected me to pay cash. After several minutes of back and forth, they were able to figure out how much was on my gift card to pay. Then, I asked to do a tip with my debit card and they said no, but that I could use the remaining balance on the gift card for a tip. So, I was forced to give a $15 tip for subpar service.
