Best nail place by far, quality service and very welcoming , me and my wife's favorite place by far

Got a pedicure... Asked the woman not to round my nails but to leave the corners, to avoid ingrown nails- she proceeded to mercilessly cut the corners off and round my nails, cutting them so short it was painful. After she ruined one foot I had a different woman finish the pedicure. The owner gave me a free manicure IOU. Fast forward to my next try... I got a manicure, and the (different) woman, Selina, absolutely effing BUTCHERED my nails; she used some motorized rotary wheel instrument I've never seen to CARVE the surface of my nails along the cuticle bed. Looked like a brutal hack job at the time... but watching it slowly grow out had been torture. My nails look AWFUL, have now for over a month, and will continue to for a long while yet... DONT GO HERE. read more

I made three appointments, we sat for 20 minutes and eventually walked out. Extremely rude lady throws baskets of nail colors and walks away without a word. Did not receive a proper welcome, or an update on how long our wait would be with a reservation. First impression was disappointing and won't be coming back. read more

I love this nail salon. I bring my sister and my Mom and have brought my daughter few times. Let me start with the fact that, I have the worst feet ever. My skin is always dry and callused and because of that they just look dirty and sad. So it's embarrassing to even look at them myself. I have gotten pedicures other places that seems to give up half way through my pedicure when trying to get through the callus removal, but this place always does a good job and takes their time and takes the best care. I tip them really good but I believe everyone should, regardless, because they work really hard and mostly make tips only. Aside from great ethics they give good service, my mom has dementia and can be confusing and difficult, they knew right away and helped her feel okay and comfortable. They are so professional and respectful and I am really happy with every experience I've had here. Oh and all of our nails look so dang good I would give a perfect 10, literally flawless. Ever since the name change remodel and the whole new staff "Tina's nails" has gone extremely down hill. You can see the lack of caring when it goes into doing nails or even a pedi now. No joke I've been coming here for years and now the news staff is horrible. The pic I posted was what I asked for.. and that was what I got *eyeroll* Like why is it so hard to do nice nails? She cut he crap out of my skin and didn't even use primer so we all know my nails will be lifted by the end of the week. I don't get it like they just want to do the bare minimal work and get paid. Let's also add that no one wears a mask which i don't get with Covid being a thing as well. After today they lost me as a costumer and I'll find a new shop that actually wants to do good work and not this. read more

The elderly lady, possibly the owner, refused to do a callus removal and touch up my toes. I was more than willing to pay whatever for the service; including tip. She kept trying to up charge for higher pedicure packages only and kept trying to convince me to take off my current gel polish on my toes. I did not want to do that, as I had just got my toes done a few days ago. She was polite, yet condescending at the same time. I would go elsewhere if I were you. Maybe because of my race? I came in for the most basic thing anyone can get and it's a white French tip, short squared. My nails were not filed correctly, and they did the clear nail polish before cleaning off the dust of the filing. Horrible work. They didn't give me what I wanted. Horrible artist. I come to this place for months only because it's 5mins from my house. I should have been left. After this last experience of gel polish chipping and nails are lifting. I decided to go somewhere in Tempe and the mail tech told me that this company had done a horrible job of my nails. I wanted a "almond shape" and their almond shape was wide and chunky. I wanted designs and they aren't capable of that due to a lack of skill and effort. I didn't feel comfortable being there cause they talked to one another in their own language making me feel like I was being talked about. read more

Just had dip and pedicure yesterday and both are horrible. I already have a chip on my nails, also small sores around cuticles. That's what happens when the nail tech is looking around and not watching what they are doing . Staff not friendly. Leg massage was less than 3 min total and lame. Will never return here read more

Overall this business was nice inside. My pedicure technician was horrendous. She got bugged because I didn't want to pay $10 extra for callous remover. I said no just the regular scrubbing which she never did by the way. The already 36 was pretty steep. I had to tell her to please get the dead skin off of my toes. She never did use the file to get the dead skin from underneath or around my toes. After I asked, she messed with three of my toes. If I am going to pay for my pedicures I would appreciate at least basic service. I was extremely disappointed in the bad attitude and I am extremely easy going. Formerly Pro Nails by Tina, new owners Scott and Amy and complete salon remodel, and new name make this my new go to in Arrowhead Ranch. Amy did a beautiful job and my nails were trashed from recent remodel in my home. Painting, hanging pictures, moving furniture, etc . Took its toll. She took her time and they turned out great. Lacking customer service skills. Employees that give pedicures or manicures should be able to perform that service without having to step away and sub in another technique that can't be performed by themselves. Leaves the guest asking "should I split the tip?" WARNING: I should've known this, but never ask for an appointment at the end of the closing hour. It will guarantee you get a fast, poorly done service you regret after you paid. Unhappy about the pedi and paint job, called next day to ask for a re-do. I'm entitled to that especially since I've been coming in on a regular choosing to give this business my hard earned dollar bills, and respectfully asking for fix on a sloppy paint job. I got hung up on.. by Scott the manager. No kind words given back... and already having anxiety when I entered into the shop... looked at me with disgust and dismissively told me to take a seat, turned his back and swiftly walked away. really? I'm not trying to fight, I just wanted my nails to look nice and for what I already paid...should! I'm a cosmetologist and owned a business so yelping my rage against another's business is beneath me. I obviously chose the wrong place to give my trust to. I was actually thinking the whole day today " should I leave a review for the Serivice I received today. It's 12:55 am I am writing this review. I went to this morning to get my manicure pedicure full set and wax! I called ahead requested coming early in the morning cuz I am leaving the town for a vacation, they was be able to take me in 8:30 am so I really appreciate that ! There was one gentleman I am assuming he is the owner , he was very nice ~however I am very disappointed the lady who did my full set and wax . For the nail /the design was okay not that great but the problem is she was not careful and cuts my skin ,my skin was bleeding ( 4 out of 10 fingers ) I am not sure if she is new, it seemed that she wasn't care much while she was doing my nail and wax. Keep talking to other co worker and talking about other customers. It's kind of unprofessional and awkward. ( if you want to talk about others please at least wait till they leave lol not front your customer ) For the wax , it was rushes through , it seemed that she wanted to get me out there quick she did not use tweezer or scissors to fix the mess hairs till I asked . and she even dropped a material on my hair. I felt it so sticky with my hand, then she tried to uses oil pull the material out of my hair , it was painful .I was actually going to do my leg wax too but for all the unprofessional service she provided , I changed my mind on leg wax ( I did not do it ) I ended up tipped her $30 it's just because as a customer I try to be nice I thank the work that peoples done for me ! but this time ... for this kind of Serivice I received from her , I will not be back anymore, trust me , customer can feel if you care or not , if you are doing the best or just doing whatever , customers can feel it !!! be honest I have been coming this place wax / manicure pedicure since it was named tinas Nail spa, I am a good customer and all always tip good. but this time for spent over $100 to receives unprofessional Serivice like this I will not be back and it ruined my whole trip , my finger started bleeding more after I took shower at night , it's hurting me that's why I decide to write this review. read more

As the many other reviews suggest, this salon is HORRIBLE! By far the worst customer service I've ever witnessed and experienced and the service is nearly as bad. The manager Scott, who unfortunately is always at the front desk, makes the environment unsafe and uncomfortable for customers, especially young women. The salon owner, who refuses to help make the space safer, has even tried to bribe customers to NOT leave honest reviews because of what terrible service they provide. Do not give this sorry excuse for a business a dollar of your money! There's a reason the reviews are SO bad for this place and much more positive for its competitors. The manager, I believe his name is Scott, verbally harasses his customers in front of the entire spa. In addition to providing terrible service, he is cruel & unprofessional and should absolutely not be working at a job where he deals with other people. He made me feel so uncomfortable I had to leave mid treatment and the entire time on the way out, he continued to yell inappropriate things at me. Do not go here!!! I've been going to this nail salon on and off for the past six years. I've explored other nail places but I keep coming back to Pro Nails. It is no longer owned by Tina. As far as I know, she sold the place and opened up a different one somewhere else. I didn't notice a huge difference between the way it's operated besides a big change in staff members. The amount of experience the staff has doesn't really vary. Tina was great though, although I wasn't a fan of her husband and his attitude. Anyways, onto the way things work around here. You can call for an appointment, but I always just walk in. The only downside of walk ins is that you never end up with the tech that you want- but that is to be expected. I've never had a particularly bad experience during manicures, but over the years I've had a few cut cuticles, but when it happened, manicurists were apologetic and put alcohol on the area, as well as avoided the spot to prevent further pain. I've had everything from waxing, pedicures, and manicures (gel and acrylic). The one negative experience I had with waxing is that once, the thin layer of skin under my brow was pulled off in one spot. It was painful to touch, but Tina (who worked there at the time, but wasn't the tech who did my brows) applied some aloe(?) to the area and fulfilled a promise of free eyebrows next time. The pedicures are absolutely the best part of Pro Nails. I've never had a disappointing moment. Overall, I'd give the place 4/5 stars. It's a very good and clean place, but at times I feel like the customer service could be a little better. Sometimes it feels like the techs are in a rush to get you out the door. The reason I keep coming back is the great nails and eyebrow waxing I get time and time again, however. I've been getting my nails done here for about a year. I've never been loyal to a nail salon until I found this place- more specifically until I found Linda. Linda hands down gives the very best pedicures. I leave feeling so relaxed and my nails look great too. They don't skimp. They literally set a timer every single time to make sure you get the full massage (the best part!) experience, and they even rub your shoulders afterwards! Pro tip- make sure you schedule an appointment, they're always busy and you want to make sure you're on the books, and make sure you bring cash to tip! read more

Had Karen this last time. She was so flustered and trying to hurry that she made multiple mistakes, and even hurt me when she was filing my nails. She kept having to remove the gel and put it back on, then lost track of which nails has one or two coats and the top coat. I had to keep telling her where she was at, and at one point she didn't believe me, but when you look at the black light you can tell which nails had the top coat and which did not. When I finally got out of there, I looked at my nails and realized how sloppy they were, but just was to frustrated to go back. It's hard to spend a lot of money on services when you're being made fun of the whole time you're try to relax. from the moment I walked in the door the entire staff was laughing at me. One woman followed me to my pedicure chair while she pretended to be "bigger" she had her arms out & was making fun of my weight/walk. Then I sat down. My tech called everyone else over to show how awful thought my nails looked. They all laughed & talked in demeaning voices until they moved on to laugh about the color I chose. This was salon for years. I loved my nail tech. I enjoyed the nuttiness of the owner Tina. I liked how much everyone seemed to enjoy working there. But the last year or so things changed. I got tired of listening to Tina bully customers into paying cash so she wouldn't have to pay the service charges. I'm paying $45 to have my nails done and she is quibbling over the service charge so I can use my debit card? Seriously? I listened to her yell at and belittle customers and staff alike. I watched as regulars left upset and staff quit. The last few times I got my nails done by my usual tech who had been doing them for four years, the nails kept falling off. I think I finally found a nail salon that will be my go to from now on! A lot of the other places I've gone recently have had issues doing the almond shape or stiletto nail shape that's popular now and it's kind of annoying. When I sat down with Christine and told her what I wanted she got right too it and didn't have to ask anyone how. The shape came out great, it was done well and in a fast amount of time. If you value your money, do not go here. I rarely leave reviews - please read this one if you get a full set. My nails started lifting 3 days after I got them. I called and went back 7 days later. Told me to come in to take a look and fix them. The lady drilled the tops and put top cover on them. When I asked her about what she was doing to fix them she told me she wasn't going to do anything else. And quite simply she did not care and did not want to deal with it. Since I went to get them fixed they are much worse. Haven't had them for 2 weeks yet and they look like I got them done a month ago corners lifted and all. read more

Defiantly will not be back. I've given this place so many chances and the work is so inconsistent. Paid $50 for a pedicure with gel polish and my toe nails look terrible! Polish all over the cuticle, polish isn't even along the cuticle line, and she did not scrub my heels enough. I was skeptical about getting acrylics because I have never gotten them before but Steven was very compliant with the length and natural look that I wanted as well as going off a picture of something he hadn't done before and turning it into an even better job I had hoped for! I also usually leave a nail salon with minor issues, things I had asked to be fixed and weren't, and uneven color, but every single thing I noticed that I wanted to be fixed he corrected without me even having to say a word.
