My favorite nail salon. I have gone to SEVERAL nail salons over the years and I always always always return back. I have NEVER had a nail pop off. I have never been cut. I always go to Dee for my nails and she does such an amazing job. Very small family owned business. The vibe mellow for sure in here! Dee is super cool too. Walked in (3pm) and no customers, but I was told by the owner I had to wait until my appointment time (4:30) to get my nails done because someone was on their way (lie)!!! I have a wedding to go to this weekend, so I wait. 20 minutes later someone walks in to get her nails done by the young lady who does acrylic nails. The lady (owner) who usually does my nails is chatting with 2 other employees. I have come to this nail shop several times and have witnessed this type of rudeness before. Went here yesterday because of the good reviews and I must admit I am very disappointed. I don't know if it was a miscommunication or what but I wanted the gel nails and I did get acrylic but whatever I let that go. Then she then the gel topcoat I asked her to put on my nails are all bumpy. I pointed it out before I left and she had me put my hands in the uv light thing again and they are even worse. I think only one nail is smooth like it is supposed to be. And also i am pretty sure my thump nail is a little crooked but I am done complaining. I won't ever be back here again. read more

I sat down next to her on the left while she got her nails done, and as I was talking to her there was another client trying to sit down on MY left to get her set. I didn't notice since she didn't say anything and I didn't think my chair was in her way. This woman's nail tech's way of getting me to move was not to ask politely. Instead, she reaches over the counter to my arm and chair and proceeds to try to physically move me herself. She could've easily asked me to move and I would've done so. I just got my nails done today with the Gel polish and I love the job they always do. I made the mistake of going to another salon one year because I was given a gift card, they did a terrible job. My husband knows I will only go to Lee's place. The nails last until I get a fill and I always get a lot of compliments on the "hand painted designs". Not just the holiday designs, but Lee painted little fish in aquariums on each nail a few times, that design is my favorite. I recommend getting a custom paint job done, you will not be disappointed. Been going there for over 20 years now. Even got my brother to get his FIRST pedicure there. I love this place and the ladies are great. Looking forward to getting a pedicure next trip. read more

I wish I could give this place less stars - dirty upon arrival and very rude. Made us feel like we were an inconvenience to them, I'm a diabetic and it started with my simple statement because the tub could make you lose a limb for f's sake. We discussed it - this was a gift from a friend and we wanted to sit together during pedi- that was an issue and this place was empty- I think "D" got the point but not really. She asked me how my day was and where I was from, I told her San Diego, and that was a bit stressed from our car breaking down and having to rent a car. An employee asked her to do my nails and she rolled her eyes and sat down extremely upset (you shouldn't work in customer service) She rushed through the process and at some point I noticed that she had stars on her nails and asked if they did that here and she said mhm not yes, not are you interested just mhmm. When she was almost done she said you need another coat I said just on some and I she said well if I do one I have to do all and I said no you don't some are darker than others. I had came here several times, the first 3 times were fantastic!! Great service, Friendly staff, and great prices!!!! But I have had 4 bad visits the first one a guy did my nails offered me a gel top coat to keep them looking good longer. Come to find out they charged and extra $5 for it!! I am not complaining about the price, some common courtesy when offer disclose you will charge for it? The second time I came in I stood in the reception area for 15 minuets with no acknowledgement at all and I was the only one standing there!!! They were not super busy just rude and ignored the fact that I walked in. The third time I came in they were very busy I very politely asked one of the ladies how long she thought the wait would be as I live down the street, I had no problem coming back in an hour...... her response to me??? I dunno, can't you see we are busy? just sit down or leave! I was like WTF?????? I walked out. The 4th time I called ahead because I like one of the girls I think she is the owner's daughter she is college aged very sweet and a little chatty when you talk to her about the band on her shirt, plus she did a cute design on my nails and was so super sweet about it. She was working and I made an appointment for a few hours out to get my nails done by her, I come in they had a couple people waiting and I was there 15 minuets early I stated that I made an appointment and was told that they don't take appointments and that it would be ridiculous for me to expect to be helped before the other 2 people waiting????? The guy who answered the phone said they take appointments and scheduled one so you might want to check on that. I will not be trying again even though your prices are the best I have found.......The term "you get what you pay for" really does apply to this nail place, as they not only look low end but they act it as well. read more

They honestly don't deserve that one star, I went in with some friends who got a pedicure and the elder lady who did their pedis was really nice but when I wanted to get a full set and was waiting for more than half an hour the younger slobby looking one had told me they were already closed.
