DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT A LUMPY ASS MANICURE, excuse my language! They really let me walk out of there with my nails looking this bad. The lady who did my nails didn't fully paint them and the sides of all my nails were showing so I asked her to repaint them. She did and because of her not doing them right the first time, my nails ended up with SUPER thick gel coats and streak marks from the brush all cured into them. However, while I was there, there were a lot of customer complaints (about 6), some who were there the day before complaining about their polish coming off, & some who were very unhappy during their visit. Made me a little nervous about my nails. I saw a few unsanitary things happen, not with me, but with others, for example hot rocks fell on the floor & they picked it up & still immediately used it. I come here all the time for pedicures. I always wind up with the same grumpy lady unfortunately. This last visit will be the last time I will be coming to this nail spa, and I advice my fellow colored people to avoid coming here as well. I asked the lady for a pedicure, I usually get regular because I get weekly pedicures. She then rolls her eyes and looks at the lady next to her. She then starts my pedicure but begins to be really rough towafeet! She even cut me with the utensil and didn't apologize. When she started washing my feet she would throw my feet in the tub and not be gentle at all. I asked her kindly to be gentle and she completely ignored it and began to laugh with her coworkers at what I said. I didn't feel welcomed at all. Good little salon! Very clean, good selection of colors. $25 for a nice gel mani ($10 more for removal) and $35 for a regular pedi with callus. Massage done with both was great! I originally went to Lemy Nails because it was close to my house. Now I won't go anywhere else. I had gone a month ago and got a gel manicure. Shortly after I was bit by a dog and one of my nails was damaged. I was weary of going again until this morning another nail broke past the nail bed, I went in to see what they could do. The gentleman that started my manicure was very attentive, he fixed the broken nail and paid special attention to the damaged nail while taking the old polish off. Then he had to attend to another person, so a young lady took over. She was also very attentive, my nails look wonderful now, you can't even tell I had messed up nails this morning. So I just moved to Phoenix, AZ from Houston, TX and one of my concerns with moving was finding a new nail shop. In Houston I'd been going to my nails shop for maybe over 15 years (because all the other places I'd tried just didn't cut it)! My cousin told me about Lemy nails and my experience there was beyond amazing! Let's just say "I Found my new nail shop!!" They properly & gently cleaned my cuticles and took their time on my mani and pedi! They were able to remove all the dead skin/calluses (it had been a couple of months since I'd gotten a mani/pedi) and with all my traveling back and forth and moving it was time for some skin renewal! The paint job was wonderful - clean & precise... they have several gel nail options which was nice instead of being limited on colors! ...plus I'm writing this a week later and everything is still holding up nicely! Best kept secret (well I guess not any more) of the West Side. This is a no frills type of place but it is clean and they do excellent work. Everyone who works there is very nice and it is always the same employees, no revolving door for sure. I have small nail beds and very thin nails. Before I found Lemy Nails, I was never able to keep the acrylic tips on, they always lifted or broke. Since finding Lemy, I have never had a nail break or come off in the entire year I have been getting them done here! The prices are also extremely reasonable. It was very painful specially for me, I have very delicate skin and ended up with a couple of blisters on my hands from the black light when I got a gel manicure. I attend GCC and I was stressed out because of finals and decided to spend a little time to myself and found this place, this was on 11/23/2015 by noon of 11/24/2015 two of my nails were completely cleaned up from any nail polish, which really upset me because gel's supposed to last 2 weeks and the guy who did my nails said "I guarantee you, I'll last up to 3 weeks" it didn't even last 24 hours. I do not recommend this place to anyone, they're insensitive to others pain, I did mention it to the guy who did my nails and he just ignored the comments and continued to do his job. I completely hated it and I am going to go back in the morning to get my money back. They do not deserve it. I didn't pay $25 for a day manicure. read more

I have watched this salon decline for years. Convenient, and they often, not always, do a good job, I kept coming back. The biggest problem is that they are not staffed for the business they get. The owner, Van, and the techs are now so busy that every appointment is rushed and stressful. A bit over two weeks ago, I went in to replace a set of acrylics. Van took me. She explained initially that she had another appointment that might show up, then proceeded to remove my old nails. This was a really slow process as she was focused on what the other techs were doing, the movement of customers, and the phones most of the time that I was sitting there. Until she, finally, dug too deep and ripped into my natural nail causing blood and trauma. I, actually, paid full price and even tipped her. Stupid. The next day, my finger was infected, swollen, and horribly painful. I had to miss a flight to see my daughter in Texas as I was in urgent care. I have now been on 4 antibiotics a day for almost 10 days. I stopped in to talk to her. Her response? "Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry. What's your number? I'll give you a credit for your next visit." No attempt to reimburse me for medical or anything. Run from this place. Dirty instruments are dangerous. Distracted techs are moreso.... Giving this a two star because my nails were okay but the service was not. MARIA the nail tech that did my nails gave so much attitude! I don't even know where to start. I asked the man at the front if it was an upcharge to pick five different colors he said no. When Maria saw I had five different colors she said it would be $5 more. I let her know that I asked ahead of time and the man said it wouldn't be. So she yells across the shop and asks a lady up front "isn't 5 different colors $5 more" the lady said "yeah". Then Maria says "I told you, $5 more" so I just did my pedicure one color and my fill in 5 colors. During my pedicure she made many comments that were offensive such as "just because you don't want hot rocks doesn't mean we're discounting your service" when I didn't even ask for a discount. I'm also a cosmetologist, I also do nails and I know how to act during servicing someone and she needs to work on herself. Even tho she's OK at nails doesn't mean she can act like she's too good to service people. While doing my fill in I showed MARIA a picture of 5 different colors on each nail and all were ombre. Nothing difficult. She told me I was hard on my nails and they looked bad. I told her yeah I'm a hairstylist so my nails get stained with color so that's why my nails were stained with pink and purple colors. She then rolled her eyes. Then when we got to painting my nails, I reshow her how I want them painted she glances. As she paints I noticed that the first nail she did a solid color I then said that the photo is ombre not solid colors. I didn't care if that was an up charge too. THEN SHE TELLS ME " I ALREADY STARTED, IM GONNA HAVE TO REDO YOUR NAILS". So I said okay SHE ROLLS HER EYES AND KEEPS PAINTING THEM SOILD AND NOT OMBRE!!!!! THERE WAS NO MISCOMMUNICATION WE BOTH SPOKE VERY CLEAR TO EACH OTHER !!! I use to come to this nail salon for years as a teen. It's my first time back in a year and there's no way I'm coming back. I have been coming here for all my nail needs for almost 8 years now. The girls are always super nice and do such a quick but precise job and the nails last months as long as you dont mess with them. Pedicures are long, come with a leg massage and they do such an awesome job with hand drawn designs. Prices are great for the quality and pleasant experience. I live in oldtown scottsdale but drive 20 miles every two weeks to get all of my nail needs taken care of here. I've been going to this place for years, unfortunately it has gone down hills for the last couple of years. All of the equipment doesn't work correctly. The staff has almost completely turned over and the owner has become so focused on money she's forgotten about customer service. She won't let us make appointments with our preferred nail techs unless it's Monday thru Wednesday. I've never been told this EVER at any place of business.
