The prices were as to be expected and the staff all gave an estimate as they started which I appreciate. My daughter had picked out a nail design and Steven was able to match it perfectly. I expressed concerns about a possible reaction to acrylics and Mia was able to suggest an alternative that allows me the longer nail I wanted. She also was able to recreate a design I picked. In a panic I googled nail salons near me because the place I usually go is across town and I didn't have time for that with such short notice. I called Mama Mia and they were able to get me in for a pedicure right away. I interacted with my nail person and another person while there - both were incredible kind and helpful. I don't usually post bad reviews and I usually only use yelp to review places I enjoyed. I really did want to love this place and I debated a while about posting an update for a while, but I've gone to multiple other places and haven't had the same issue. The first time I got my nails done it costed 120, 144 with tip. It was probably the most I've spent for removal and a new set at a nail salon, but they were prefect and all the same exact size/shape. I came back received a fill and it was the same exact price and took even longer than when I had a removal + a new set. I took about 3 hours and had my first nail break within 2 days of getting them done. I was so upset that I didn't even bother coming back to get them fixed. About a week and a half after I got them done, I had 7/10 nails break. I would definitely recommend looking into local nail techs, I haven't been to a nail salon since! read more

This place is really close to me and I'm so glad I dropped in! It was super clean, very relaxing, and I left extremely satisfied. I had the Mamma Mia pedicure. I brought my own nail polish (I'm weird and get really anxious trying to pick a nail color) and the staff was totally fine with that. The staff member performing my pedicure had excellent technique and kept checking on me to make sure the water temperature was right and the wax wasn't too hot or cold. My mom and I both came in randomly because we forgot to make an appointment at our usual salon and we weren't planning on going as I had just gotten surgery. It was fairly empty when we came in, as it is fairly Mama Mia's nails salon is hands down SUPER BEAUTIFUL. Everything is brand new, super clean. She herself is so fabulous. We both decided to get the "DELUXE PEDICURE" which included this super cute package of scented items such as sugar scrub lotion. I chose citrus and my mom chose mint. It was a bit more for a gel pedicure add on, which I do in the winter only because it helps when I wear boots. As you can see they came out cute. My mom and I both get ingrown toenail's that were not removed during our pedicure we were super disappointed that neither one of our techs got those details I ended up removing mine and my hers on the 3rd day after. I didn't really notice till 2 days after because it's more noticeable after I wear closed toed shoes for a few days in a row. Anyways, overall we had a very pleasant experience and we will be back. Mia always takes her time and is extremely professional but always makes you feel so welcomed at the same time, so it's truly such a great/relaxing experience. This was the sloppiest gel pedicure of my life. It was messy and lumpy and I had to request it to be redone. ‍ I had plans to get a full acrylic set as well and told them I was no longer interested because I didn't want to risk it. The girl was so angry with me when she filed off the pedi to fix it she burned me with the tool because she was rushing. I had to tell her multiple times, "you're hurting me". I've never written a review for a nail shop before but i have been going to Mia's for a couple of months then had to stop going cause i just couldn't afford it but today i got to go back and it was funny cause i was not trying to go to any other shop i knew that was my place but going back today after not being able to go for a couple of months really put the stamp on it. Mia's will be my place as long as i live in Az. For one her shop is great , it is nice and relaxing, there never is a bunch of people in there waiting she really does not take walk in , which is great to me because it allows them to really focus on you and not on how fast they can get it done so they can get to the next person. I think what got me the most is the going beyond the job, the last time i was there before today Mia could tell i wasn't myself and she just talk to me and without asking me my business just tried to make me feel better, then today i went back and it wasn't where have you been and why you not getting done what you normally get done. From over the phone she remembered me, then when i got there she was like it is ok we are here when you can come and thanked me for just coming back and we talked and it was really nice. I think the people that say she is short or rude or whatever i say to you, maybe people that are real and honest are just not for you maybe you like fake I'm not sure but either way if you want a nice place to go to get your nails done right and nice as well as be able to meet some really nice people that are real then Mia's is the place for you. read more
