I went to this location for sugaring and waxing services last year. Now, I go to this location for laser hair removal services on my armpits. I have a lot of tattoos, so there are not many options for laser hair removal. I am only familiar with laser tattoo removal, so I was expecting laser hair removal to be super painful. Well, it is not, so that is why I am rating it five stars. The esthetician, I think that is what they are called, is very professional and discreet. She explains the process well. This was a great experience! I typically visit a Hello Sugar in Scottsdale, but my usual waxer wasn't available, so I decided to go close to home. I was pleased that I was able to get an appointment with merely an hour of notice. My appointment was booked with the next available waxer, which was Kristyana. I requested a lip, chin, and brow wax and she didn't disappoint. She was very careful and kept the pain under control with a variety of tricks and creams. I was super impressed and I would definitely come back to see Kristyana at this location or her usual Park West spot. This location was super cute and clean inside. So after putting it off for months... i finally decided to get my first brazilian. My friend had recommended Tania after having a great experience with her first wax and every wax after that. Upon meeting her, she had the kind of vibe that felt like this job was meant for her. She has this very calming and friendly personality that made it feel like i have gotten waxed a thousand times before, which i really appreciated. She guides you through it and let's you know everything that she's doing, very knowledgeable and very professional. I walked out not know what i was so afraid of before ! Quick, easy, inviting, obviously hurt a little but i mean you're getting hair ripped out of your skin... it's not gonna feel like a kiss on the forehead. I went in for a wax and brow tint and lash lift and tint . So it was fine when I left then the next day it didn't look like I had anything done. I complained and they never got back to me. I was provided with the service I expected. The atmosphere was dark, no door, and it was dirty. The staff person was kind but not informative beyond confirming the service I went in for. I had no idea the difference between sugar and wax, no explanation provided I redeemed my Groupon and got the treatment I scheduled. I tried another location and it was fabulous! So how does a review disappear? I started using this company in 2019. Since I have had nothing, but issues. First esthetision kept putting on something that I was allergic to causing blistering. I got another one and she left. Got another one and she left. Forth one left also. The fifth one is pretty good. However the company has changed her hours twice and it this time is interfering with doctors appoints. Most of these were at the last day and since having someone wax your nether regions is very personal, changing people is uncomfortable. They insist you use texting or online to make appointments. The website is horrible and very unclear. Texting appears to be AI, not a real person. What ever it is does not seem to understand English concepts clearly. You just go around in circles. I was finally able to get a person on the phone again around in circles. I had completely had it and cancelled my subscription. I was then told I had to do that on lone and fill out a form to get a refund of my prepaid subscription. I did later get a notice that the subscription had been canceled and I would receive a refund. We will see. I know they put pressure on their employees to sign people up for subscriptions. read more

I first heard about Sugar Me Wax through a sponsored ad on FB. There was an offer for a free bikini wax for new customers. Being a recent transplant to Arizona, I was definitely looking for somewhere to get waxed. Surprise seemed to be located far from so many things. Thankfully, there are multiple locations! I upgraded my wax to a Brazilian but only paid a small fee for it. I hadn't had a wax since April. At the time of my first visit it was August, so just imagine how much growth I had haha. Even having trimmed it, it hurt just as much as it should have. She used the sugaring method afterwards to get strays/clean up. I decided to sign up for the membership! This second visit was JUST as amazing, if not more so! I was able to be seen an hour and a half early, as someone canceled and I had just left Modern Round and didn't feel like waiting until 5 haha. I got another Brazilian - which tickled way more than it hurt - and the enzyme treatment. I also purchased the Raspberry Refining Cleanser and Finipil so that I could continue my intimate skincare routine in the comfort of my own home. Alexis is a master jedi in the art of waxing. I have been seeing her for the past five months, my first and only waxer. It is sad I waited so long to ever try getting a wax. Sugar me wax is the worst experience of my life! First it started with trying to get an appointment. I used their texted service which I thought was convenient..ITS NOT! Every time they gave me a time slot and I tried to confirm, the next message I would get was "sorry that time is no longer available". Eventually it got to a point where a manger offered the appointment as complimentary. Now I'm at my appointment (early) and the doors to the building are locked. I kept calling and no one picked up. Then I texted, no text back. I finally get into the building (it is now 5 min before my appointment) and apparently a member came in so she goes before me even though I made an appointment and she didn't. Pro: The girl who waxed me was really nice. It was very fast. Con: they don't warn you this is inside another salon. I was super late because I couldn't find it and they don't have an actual phone number. Everything is through text. No phone to simply call and ask. The salon is one of those independent places where they have a bunch of smaller businesses renting a space so there is no receptionist to check you in or direct you where to go. I tried to schedule a sugaring and I got a strip wax instead. I didn't realize until after the process had been started. Strip wax is very unpleasant. So I was disappointed I didn't get to try the service they are known for and the service I thought I had signed up for. read more
