My daughter's grandmother took her to this place because of the location. Unfortunately the girl made her cuticle bleed, was a bit rude, and didn't do her nails like she asked. She asked for an almond shaped French tip and came out with pointy, chunky non French tip nails. If I had been with my daughter, I wouldn't have paid them until they did them right. Her grandmother didn't realize the issue until after they left. And my daughter felt bad about complaining about her nails. The people working are very nice and their prices are great. My issue is that I asked for a traditional manicure, asking for my nails to be cleaned up... but they were cut below the quick. I said one was too short but then didn't realize she kept cutting the other nails so short (I was trying to do some work and should have paid closer attention). I've never had this happen elsewhere, even when I was letting my nails grow out after months of gel and dip polish (as I am now). My hands are still dry and despite asking for work on my cuticles, they aren't completely cleaned up. I typically go to another place but got a gift certificate to Jeniza and figured I'd try it.. One gel nail came off the following day and 4 gel nails came off while on vacation, I called and lady said come in so they can repair when I return. Probably the worst nail salon experience I have ever had. Came in as a walk in for a gel mani/pedi, showed the check in person the nail art I wanted (see screenshot) and she said okay can you wait 10mins, I said yes and waited while they set up my pedicure. She had me sit down and the pedicure lady started with the usual old polish removal and whatnot, had me pick the pedicure I wanted, and then asked what I wanted for my nails. I showed her the picture and she said "oh, okay someone else will have to do your nails", that was fine with me. Then she began speaking in a different language to some of the other nail techs and two different people came and asked to see my nail picture then walked away talking in a different language to someone else. I wasn't sure what the big fuss was about since the design seemed simple enough to me, but then one of the women came up and asked to see the picture again and then said "we don't have those colors", to which I said "uh you don't have blue and white..?" She said nothing in response and shuffled away before beginning to talk to the other women in another language again. After about 10 mins the check in lady came up and said they didn't have anyone who knew how to do the design... Okay so why didn't anyone say this before my pedicure was started??? Very weird. The pedicure was mediocre, not sure if the woman forgot people have bones in their feet but the massage was incredibly uncomfortable and harsh. I had my toes done in white, the paint job is okay, I think I will probably end up having them redone by someone else though. Pedicure was 40$. Jonathan did an amazing job! I walked in on a limb because I was in central Phoenix and found this nail salon, didn't do any research as to ratings, they were next to my wax salon and saw that no appt was necessary and I walked in. Before entering they asked that you wear a mask and once you walk in and sign in, they ask that you wash your hand before picking a color. I paid for the coconut milk pedi and matte gel mani, which cost me 80$. I have to say Jonathan went in on my pedi massage. I was sooo satisfied, I almost fell asleep. He was very attentive and didn't speed up the process, I walked in at 5:30. The only feedback I would give was that he didn't apply cuticle oil on the way out and my hand massage wasn't that long. I've been to this nail salon twice. The first time I had dip removed and redone. Jerri was great and very meticulous. It did take a really long time for my nails to be done though. Things got awkward when I asked for a design - one of the other nail techs told Jerri to hurry up in English while I was sitting there. After they told her to hurry up they continued to talk to her in another language but with the same tone. She was obviously a little stressed and I ended up only getting one flower on each pinky. It looked fine but wasn't the design I'd come in for. It was my first time at the salon and I had shown her my design idea when I came in. It would have been better for them to just say that it couldn't be done when I sat down instead of telling me it was $1 per finger. I would have been fine with the honesty and continued with service. The next time I came, I had my nails taken off and replaced with gel. I was charged $12 for my dip to be removed and paid $52 in total (not including tip). I regret getting gel when it would have been more cost effective to get dip again. I wish they would include more services in the price (even if the price is higher) so I'm not surprised or asked about every little up charge. Overall I would say this place is fine - good not great. They do ask you to hand wash and wear a mask and I am cool with that. They're doing what they can to protect their employees which I can respect. A lot of negative reviews come up first when you're reading on yelp that are old by two to FIVE years. That's a long time and it seems, while still not the greatest, they've improved. read more

That was not that part that really made me write this review however, it was that I became concerned of sanitation issues after being cut. The person who did my nails took my bloody fingers and touched them with multiple products such as the dipping powder and the oil. I really hate that I had to write this post, but I am utterly disappointed at my experience today. I have been coming to this nail salon for 4 years and today was the day that I decided I will never return. I requested for my usual nail tech Van and was told to soak my nails until she finished. After soaking my nails and waiting patiently for the tech I requested and I thought I was going to see, I was told no she can't do my nails and someone else had to do them. I am very particular about nails "hence" the reason I requested my nail tech. After 4 years of being a repeat client I felt that I was thrown to side like my request did matter. Instead I had to settle for someone else that was just ok. I would of left, but I had already waiting 20-30 minutes to soak my nails off and I had to have them done. Never again read more

After my experience at Jeniza nails on August 14, I can confidently say I was bamboozled by the reviews. Either that, or the girl that worked on my nails got her license from a video game. Below are pictures for reference. One is what I asked for, the others are the work I got done. My sister is a nail tech, I know what to ask for, I know the importance of being polite to nail techs, and I know how to tip. From beginning to end I received so much attitude and passive aggressiveness I genuinely felt uncomfortable giving my hard earned money to her for this kind of service. When it came time to do the French tip I had to ask her to fix errors multiple times and she just got more and more agitated with me. I eventually had to ask her to not continue with my left hand and waste anymore of her or my time; I would rather just have all of them removed. She got very frustrated and called a lady over and said "I don't know what she wants" and threw her arms up as if there were nothing wrong with the lumps on my nails. I truly thought I was being pranked. She got attitude some more and yelled saying I still have to pay for the removal when I was the one who offered in the first place. I just wasn't paying for a wonky full set. When she was taking my nails off she was rushing and scratched my cuticles so bad because she was upset, it would burn when she put the acetone on me. I'm not sure why I had such a bad experience, but all of my friends know to stay away. A set like this was going to run me $75 and the saying you get what you pay for is true, because my home nail salon and sister nail tech would charge minimum $100. Rose is my go to gal. She is the best at doing SNS nails (Dip powder) as it is a delicates process, and I feel so comfortable and relaxed when I am with her. I've gotten my nails done with her for awhile now and her technique is great!! Just let her know what shape you like, how long you want your nails to be, and if you have a hard time deciding on a color or what length to do your nails, Rose is always available to help and offer a suggestion. She then tried to tell me they were appointments which was a lie because I asked if they had appointments. We were literally sitting across from her the whole time. Okay so now you can't do your job and you lie. Then she told me 2 nail techs left early. Hopefully the manager knows when she's not there her staff leave early, can't do their job and lie. You know she didnt even say she was sorry. It's too bad because they have great hours, clean facilities, and their nail techs are great. But I am not willing to allow kids to be treated this way. That being said I still will never come her. I will not be lied to and treated like our business is not important. I have probably spent thousands of dollars here. I tip very well.
