Absolutely Exceptional Jack's on Pearl exceeded every expectation. As Texas transplants, we've enjoyed some incredible steakhouses over the years and have traveled extensively, but this was truly one of the best dining experiences we've had. We even drove up from Colorado Springs for our 18th wedding anniversary, and it was worth every mile. We started with the wedge salad, which was fresh, crisp, and packed with flavor--easily one of the best wedge salads we've ever had. The warm bread service was incredible and paired perfectly with the house-made spreads. The mac and cheese was rich, creamy, and absolutely unforgettable. The highlight of the evening was the Wagyu steak topped with cheesy potato croquettes. It was cooked to perfection and so tender it practically melted in your mouth. Every bite was packed with incredible flavor and was one of those dishes you continue talking about long after the meal is over. What impressed us most was that every single item we ordered was exceptional. The quality of the ingredients, attention to detail, presentation, atmosphere, and service were all top-notch. After reading some of the reviews beforehand, we weren't sure what to expect. In our experience, this restaurant is incredibly underrated. Our meal, service, and overall experience were outstanding from start to finish. Omg. We LOVED Jacks! We got there early and were happy to get 2 seats at the bar. This seems to be a popular spot, so I recommend a reservation or early arrival. We ordered the salmon Sashimi to start (epic), the Hipster Wedge salad, (yummmm) and the filet Champion style. THAT was one of the best steaks we have ever eaten. Incredible. Admittedly, they like to undercook the steak, so I asked for mine more cooked than I usually would. The steak came out just like I like it, so I advise asking them to cook a little longer. This is one of the few restaurants I would consider to be worth the price - I went back after DRW and I consistently recommend it to others. We made a reservation at Jack's for our wedding anniversary earlier this week and were so happy we did! They had us set up at a nice table with cute little anniversary signs and the hosts mentioned it as well. We ordered cocktails and food pretty quickly, the cocktail was tasty and I couldn't wait to try the food. I ordered the wagyu filet with the lobster add on, and mashed potatoes. My husband ordered the spicy shrimp and lobster linguini. Everything was So damn good. Some of the best filet I've ever had! We ordered a little dessert as well, a brownie with their homemade Ice cream and sauce and after dinner coffee. So tasty! The service from our waitress was great and everyone we came across were so friendly. Prices were decent and fair too. This was one of the best meals, and the only reason why I'm giving it four instead of five stars is because of a little hiccup we had at the beginning. We were on time for our reservation, but the restaurant said our table wouldn't be ready for 30 minutes. There wasn't a whole lot of apology there. They ushered us upstairs to the bar area to wait (and buy drinks). A comped glass of champagne, or maybe a comped appetizer or dessert would have gone a long way and would have been the level of service we'd expect from a nicer, pricier restaurant such as Jack's. Obviously, that didn't happen. When we finally got our table, the evening did improve. Despite the less than stellar beginning, the rest of the evening was quite delightful. Service at our table was absolutely impeccable. We enjoyed the sashimi trio, and I get why Jack's makes a big deal out of their fish. The fish was so buttery and flavorful! The French onion soup was piping hot and full of all the classic flavors you'd expect. The Kansas City ribeye was more on the rare side of medium rare, but I actually didn't mind that. The meat was juicy and tender. Surprisingly, the French dip sandwich was probably our favorite over the steak. They use prime rib, and it is a standout. When your server tells you that of all the things the staff can pick for their shift meal they pick this sandwich, then you know you have something special. Finally, we ended the night with the chocolate chip cookie, as recommended by our server. It's definitely more of a skillet cookie, but without the skillet. Super soft and chewy and paired perfectly with housemaid ice cream. All in all, the meal was fantastic, and despite how the night started, we enjoyed ourselves. We'll likely be back. read more

You just gotta love a good birthday dinner celebration. I requested at the time of the reservation for booth seating if available. When we got to the restaurant the hostesses let me know the only booth seating would be on the upstairs..:we threw caution to the wind and went for it. The upstairs turns out to have its own second bar and the booth and table was just perfect. Our waiter Vince was entertaining but just a tad too braggadocious and winded for us at times. We started off with a round of very well made cocktails. For appetizers we shared French onion soup and their top flight sashimi plate. The French onion soup was on point but coming from Southern California the sashimi had a wonderful presentation but was the one thing on this night that fell flat in the taste department. For our entrees we all went with the wagyu steaks champion style. We ordered and shared the poblano Mac and cheese and the Asian Brussels sprouts as our sides. This meal was as good as it gets. For dessert we did the three dessert platting and sang happy birthday. Jacks on pearl has a higher price point but knowing that going in know you will get a fine satisfying meal here for any occasion. Very nice, classy restaurant. Service was pretty good . As far as food , few things were great while others were lacking. We ordered coconut shrimp . I would prefer them crispier. Sushi roll that we ordered had overcooked rice . It was way too mushy . Steak , however, had a nice sear and good seasoning. It was delicious. Fries were tasty too, crispy and hot . Salad was fresh and delicious. We also ordered French boule . It was very tasty and garlic butter was great! I didn't care much for the ice cream dessert. Apparently made in house but it didn't taste any better than store bought vanilla ice cream. It was very sweet too. Overall it was a good experience . The food was pretty tasty. The sushi was the only let down because the rice was overcooked so everything was just a bit mushy since it was all the same texture. The steak however was the highlight! What do you get the person who is difficult to shop for? A nice dinner out. I took my hubby here last weekend as an early Christmas present. We were sat in a corner booth, facing the fish that are dry aging. We had the privilege of Paul as our server. He was excellent! It's obvious he enjoys his job and the establishment. For main events, we each got filets: champion style for my hubby, Oscar style for me. The steaks have a nice char flavor from the wood grill. They're incredibly tender. The accompaniments were lovely as well with both preparations - we each stole a bite of the other's. We shared the Brussels sprouts as well, which were served family style. Very tasty. Neat surprise to discover this place after it's already been open for a couple of years just south of us. Very much liked our server Kevin and the hip ambience. Liked the food but not "as good as it gets." Sprouts were tasty but too greasy. Their wagyu ribeye steak--which they called their signature dish--had excellent flavor, but, and I know it was the ribeye so fattier than other cuts, just too much gristle and fat on it for us. I thought the Chilean sea bass was excellent, along with another "but", ... not a huge fan of the pea sauce on which it was served. That said, absolutely loved the arancini app and we'll definitely return. Good vibes, good food and good service are things to be appreciated and we'll give ourselves another try of it down the road. For the price, I expected to be blown away and to put it in context, it reminded me of the steak my mom would give us as kids - tough, fatty w marginal flavor. Sashimi appetizer was good, not great. Also expected more here since they pride themselves on their seafood. My wife's sea bass was also ok. I've tasted way better sea bass in so many other restaurants. If we spend only a couple hundred on dinner, it would have been somewhat expected, but we dropped @ $1k for 4 of us. A lot of other restaurants I would have liked to spend that money on. Our delightful server, Cheyenne, took great care in her recommendations. We started with the Blackberry Margarita -- yummy! Then moved on to share Jack's Steak Tacos, Grilled Pecan Shrimp served with a terrific chimichurri sauce, and, I know it's weird, a baked potato (I'd been craving one for a few days). My Sweetheart decided to take the opportunity to treat me to a Christmas dinner here and I am so very glad she did. I will start off by saying the small corner booth on the upper part of the main floor was a wonderful little place for two to sit. The restaurant ambiance is energetic, just the right amount of noise. Paul was exemplary as our server. Came with great energy, a super friendly personality, and plenty of recommendations. He simply did not lead us astray. I had the 7 oz tenderloin served champion style. Cheesy duck fat potatoes and oh so delightfully grilled steak. Flavorful beyond belief. We tried this new restaurant this weekend. The food was very good, wine was over priced by the glass but more reasonable by the bottle. Its a lively place, so pretty noisy while dining (hard floors and ceilings). Some at our table had trouble with that part of the experience. We all had something different at it was all very good. Men's room was out of paper towels which is a party foul to me but other than that and the noise it was a good experience. We will definitely try it again. Each type of fish had its own sauce with it. These were amazing! My partner got the champion fillet and I ordered the lobster and shrimp linguine. Now I'm not usually a steak person, but his steak was SO GOOD. I would highly recommend eating here if you want a well done meal with layered flavors. Every single thing we ate was delicious. What a special evening !We were celebrating our son's new promotion .We began with the dry- aged sashimi and grilled pecan shrimp. The sashimi just melted in your mouth with rich flavors of the seasonings. Moved onto the Sea bass, champions filet,and the truffles filet- no one was disappointed.
