Well I must say I bought my car here December of 2018. I had a very pleasant experience but unbeknownst to me they were pulling bait and switch routines left and right I purchased a 50,000 mile service contract to cover everything for the first two years that I had the car guess what doesn't cover everything doesn't cover 25,000 mile service doesn't cover 30,000 mile service and then I come in and they tell me oh you need to pay for a 30,000 mile service so I do I get it done I look at it it's an oil change plus a couple of other things they charge me $149 plus tax to do an oil change and change a couple of filters after I bought the goddamn service contract these people are horrible I wouldn't recommend that you use their bathroom read more

For the longest time, I felt very satisfied with my current Hyundai vehicle. Never thought I'd be going to get routine maintenance done and driving away in a new vehicle. But sometimes things just fall into place and good things happen. I go to Horne Hyundai for my 2014 Santa Fe. Gotta keep up service because I need this car to get to work and haul my kids around. I was sort of curious on a new 2018 Santa Fe so i just wanted to see what was out there. First off, as always, everyone there is awesome. From Michael and Gary in service, to Phil in Financing. Even the General Manager was awesome but I'm sorry...his name escapes me at the moment. The person I worked with was Lori Ceal. From the moment I walked in to the time I left, Lori was on it. She waited for me as I walked in to meet her, and gave the best hug as I left. She was very attentive to my car needs and had a no-hassle approach. The day was long due to vehicle prep and I had my son with me and you know kids. They can get antsy. But they have a kids play area and Lori even took it upon herself to by my son some lunch because we were waiting and he was getting hungry. That was amazing. No other dealership I've been to has ever done that. But at the end of the day, we worked out a deal and I drove away in a new vehicle. Best buying experience ever! If you are looking for a new car or need service on your own Hyundai, please give these folks a go. It may be not the big, flashy establishment, but they make up for it in customer service and heart. You come first. Thank you Lori and the staff at Horne Hyundai for an as always awesome experience. read more

Wasted a lot of my time. Similar experience to other customers. Would not honor their original price, told me to walk if I didn't like it. Details follow: Worked out a deal last month, shopped a little but didn't ask them to match anyone. They offered a great price in my opinion. Everything looked great all ready to sign, had to wait a month for financials (BoostUp program takes 30 days to prime). Dealer said it wouldn't be a problem, they'd be able to honor the price or even get the inventory if it had sold provided nothing had changed in terms of mfg. rebates. Came back a month later to the day, car sitting in the same spot with a fresh layer of dust. Asked for the same deal (Hyundai rebates unchanged of course), GM treated me like I wanted to steal the car. He wanted $900 more right off the bat to even discuss. Refused to explain why, ignored the question and walked away to the GM office when asked. Ouch! Let's take a look at what I'm out on this transaction: several visits to the dealer 1-2 hrs to negotiate the price, plus lots of emails $500 cash (fed into BoostUp for Hyundai matching) time/trouble getting certified as an Uber Driver (everyone should do this before buying a Hyundai) Extremely disappointed with the way this deal went. They were still $1200 over invoice @ the price I wanted. read more

I'm so excited about my new car. It's so nice... looking for a car yesterday was so frustrating. It wasnt until I went and met with Lorie Seifert Ceal at Horne Hyundai in Apache junction I felt a peace. Previously I had went to another car lot and the person working with me did not listen to anything I told them and just try to put me into something I could not afford and that was just too much. If anyone is looking to buy a new car I would totally recommend going to see Lori. Lori is personable, friendly, and really listens to not only what you want but what you need. Thank you for the great experience yesterday Lori you're absolutely amazing.. read more

Worst experience in my life. We went there twice today, knowing exactly what we wanted. We had another appointment so we left at 4pm and said we would be back later. We went back 3 hours later and they still could not give me a price for the vehicle we were interested in. They shoved a hand written paper in front of me with scribbled words, "I will buy" and a line for me to sign under it. Who the hell runs a business like this? I am not signing anything without knowing the final cost.....potential buyers...beware. We asked 3 times for a manager and he never showed his face. read more

I am not writing this review to get any type of recognition or reimbursement. I just wanted any potential customers of Horne Hyundai to know the way that I was treated. This is the first negative review of a company that I have written. I had a check engine light turn on in my wife's car. I had the code read at a local shop and I was told that the brake switch on her car was faulty. I looked online to find out how to fix it myself and came across the warning that the brake switch was an existing recall on my vehicle. I called the Hyundai customer service line and went through the automated system which confirmed that my car had an active recall and then asked when I would be able to bring it in to a dealership to have the faulty part replaced. I set up a visit for the next day at Horne Hyundai. When I arrived the service manager informed me that there was not an active recall on this part. He went on to say that I could pay $80 for them to replace it. I asked for his manager and he introduced me to the general manager of the dealership whose name is Michael Boyle. I explained the situation to him, and he demanded that I leave his dealership. The exact wording that he used was, "You are lying son of a b****, get the f*** out of my dealership." I then went to O'Reilly auto parts where I bought the part for $12.00 and after watching a 60 second youtube video, installed it myself. read more

Went into this dealership after being assured on the phone by Lorie that we could definitely make a deal within my budget so we made an appt. 2 hours before our scheduled time I received a call and message that she wouldn't make our appt and that I would be meeting with Russell. After finding a used car that met our needs I was informed by the sales manager that my situation would be better for a new car with rebates. So We found something that would work. They gave me numbers a little higher than I had proposed and I accepted them only to be told that those numbers weren't accurate and they would need even more money down and more money a month. How do you tell a customer one thing and then pull out of it when they accept it? So I called their bluff and they chose to let a customer walk away. read more

They literally just turned down me trying to buy a car for spark plugs. My car is being serviced and I was looking at trading it in and they couldn't be bothered to write off a tune up. Really? Never been told I have to pay my cheap repairs and buy the new car. Clearly they have enough business in this dealership with no one wandering around buying cars. My car doesn't even have major repairs. Routine maintenance and they won't write it off. read more

This place is trying to RIP people off when buying a car ! We stopped by there to just look at and sit in a Hyundai Tucson. They had several in stock that had just been delivered we were told. The MSRP sticker was $33,435 which I did not feel was too bad. I had not done a LOT of homework on the pricing, models. and trims but it seemed in the ballpark. We went inside with the female salesperson and talked about it. We were going to trade in our 2020 Chrysler 300 C with the hemi engine and fully loaded that we had ordered and bought new in 2020. She took down all of the information about the 300 and took the keys. It is in excellent shape with just over 10,000 miles. She went out and looked the car over and started it but did not drive it. She took the information to whoever(the powers that be) and came back and told us that they would give us $32,300 as a tradein. In the meantime, I used my phone to use Edmunds to see what the value of it was. The report came back that Carmax would buy the car fpr $34,400, outright... I did not get a quote for a tradein value. SO then I asked what the price of the vehicle was going to be before taxes, etc. I was shocked when she said it was going to be $40,521 !!! I said the MSRP was $33,435 so why is it costing so much more? The difference is over $7,000 !!! She said that they put a market premium of $5,000 plus about $2,100 in 'dealer addons'. The sales person went and got someone(sales mangler ??) I don;t know but he gave me some song and dance about the market, etc. I said I was NOT going to pay for any 'dealer addons' OR the market premium. I will pay MSRP and they will make plenty of money on the car. By this time, my wife had already left and went to our car. I left after I told them they were disreputable and left. When I got home and looked online at Kelley Blue Book for a tradein value for the 300, I found the tradein range was $36,203 to $38,934 and the value should be about $37,569 ! So they were going to screw me for about $4,000 on the tradein value plus try and get another $7,000 + on the purchase of the new vehicle. What a RIP OFF place to try and do business. Keep away from these people unless you WANT to get screwed by them !! read more

4 years later, same as or worse than every other dealer. Markup over MSRP on hot model but yet still advertised on website as discounted. Trucks average $2,000 in dealer add on options. Don't make the drive without verifying that the prices they have posted online for a vehicle you want to buy are accurate. With one phone call to another dealer got the car I want in the color I want and at a 7k savings. read more

This is the most dishonest dealership in the valley. Their ethics are none existent. The GM lies and twist facts to suit himself. He will cheat you and not bat an eye, My son and I tried to buy a vehicle (NEW to my son) but used to the world, and we negotiated the price DOWN with the salmon and had a deal, they even came out and made us sign a document that said "You Win", then when we went to pay, they said "no sorry the GM will not allow us to sell it for a price this low". Now keep in mind this is AFTER they negotiated with us and went back to their sales manger several times to get approval. Filled a BBB complaint about their ethics, and the GM made up another story to the BBB. Do not do business with these people or ANY Horne dealership since they are owned by the same people who employed this dishonest GM. BTW, they offered my son $200 in free service for a vehicle, when he did not own one and was almost 40 miles outside of town. SLEAZY read more

Absolutely the worst, most condescending, dishonest, man-splaining experience I've ever witnessed. I've purchased trucks, cars and jeeps from Earnhardt (nicest salesman, just didn't have what she wanted) , Bill Luke, Auto-nation and Air-park Dodge and this experience alone would convince me to buy from something like Carvana before ever returning there. I get it, sales and finance need to earn an income and buyers want the best deal possible, but when your finance person takes blatant advantage of a first time buyer ( my daughter ) I really think that puts you in a category of your own, shameful. read more

As a consumer who hasn't bought a new car in 12 years I was worried about buying in the current market given the climate of supply and demand in recent months. My fears were quickly turned into excitement when I walked through the doors of Horne Hyundai. I knew the exact car I wanted and had actually already put down a deposit at another location for that car and only came to Horne to test drive a Tuscon they had on the lot. Everything changed when I met Jay. He was the ONLY customer service representative that actually took time to explain everything to me with unmatched patience and professionalism. I liked him so much that I withdrew my deposit from the other location and put a deposit down on one from Horne Hyundai in Apache Junction, mainly because of Jay's excellent customer service. The GM, Steve, was extremely accommodating and even went and got my daughter crayons and a coloring book to occupy her (which is above and beyond what is expected). Carlos handled the finance portion and was professional and knowledgeable. From start to finish this is THE BEST experience I have ever had at a car dealership. If I could give 10 stars I would. If you're looking for a car Horne Hyundai is your place and Jay is your guy!! read more

SMALL CLAIMS COURT HERE WE COME - AWFUL EXPERIENCE WHEN LEASING ANOTHER HYUNDAI from this AJ dealership! Husband traded in Santa Fe for another, was guaranteed no mileage surcharge if we leased again with Hyundai and yet got a bill later for $845. Unable to speak to anyone from Hyundai Finance back during early Covid-19 and was told to payoff the $845 mileage charge online although his account showed a $0 balance due upon login. Hyundai Finance is no help and neither is the dealership in trying to resolve. Just went to re-finance our home and not only was this issue reported to the credit agencies as a write off, but his credit score is now -100 points because of their mistake AND HE PAID THE $845 hoping this would just get resolved and they would reimburse him once they reviewed the paperwork! Nobody will take ownership to help him AND we are out $845. Awful, awful experience and poor customer service with Horne and Hyundai. General Manager Steve offered no help in resolving. This is our third or fourth vehicle with Hyundai - THE LAST! Wendy and James Cox, Mesa read more

My family has purchased multiple vehicles from this dealership. The majority of the all the transactions have gone very smooth. I would be giving them five stars for employees like Michael in the service department and Joseph in sales as well as the managers in sales. My experience today with Dixie their service department employee who answers the phone was a very negative experience. Let's start off with Dixie hanging up on me a total of four times. Dixie was very rude and was more than willing and suggested to put her boss John on the phone showing she has an attitude that's she's invincible and can't get in trouble. Well after reading back yelp reviews this isn't her first complaint with a customer that buys multiple cars from this dealership. I hope the owner of this dealership reads this review and evaluates how much of a loss is Horne Hyundai willing to take before they terminate Dixie their 14yr employee who probably has cost Horne Hyundai thousands of dollars and is representing them in a customer service position. I hope this review helps prospective buyers, service customers and the ownership of Horne Hyundai. read more

My husband and I walked in here wanting to test drive a few models because we were wanting to buy a new car. We arrived 10 minutes after they opened, not one single person in the entire dealer when we walked in to greet us we waited around 30 minutes and still no one had helped us (we couldn't even find a person to). Needless to say we bought our car elsewhere that had much better customer service, will never go back! read more

My wife and I have visited this dealership twice in recent months. Both times I came away wondering how they stay in business. Bought 2014 Sonata in May. Had to get car transferred from Peoria dealer. All was ok until my temp plates were close to expiring. Called 2 weeks b4 expiring as instructed by dealership. We were told that the paperwork is at DMV & they are slow after snowbird season so it takes a while. Now it's 3 says b4 it's due. Called back & found out that paperwork was never sent from Peoria outlet. Lied to & pissed about it, they try to defend saying we are lying. They told my wife to not get testy. Now I have to go to dealership to pick up another temp plate. We understand things happen but the false info is inexcusable. If they were honest 2 weeks ago we would've been fine with it. My last review was taken down less than 2 days after I posted it. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, 30 days since my deal funded and they still have not paid off my trade and now my credit is in jeopardy. Went to the dealership in person after 2 weeks of phone calls got me nowhere. General manager was rude and arrogant throwing the blame on me. My deal had funded more than 2 weeks prior to my personal visit. That was a week ago. As of today my trade still not paid. They never filed a sold notice with the state on the trade and I received notice from ADOT that they were going to suspend my registration. Now I read on the BBB website complaints about getting scammed with an additional extended warranty because lender supposedly required it when that was not the case. Guess what? They told me the same thing. Got charged $899 for aforementioned extended warranty. I'll be calling my lender tomorrow to see if they required it! Run far and fast from this place. They are shady! The best experience ever buying a car !!! We have bought many cars from many dealerships. From California to Texas and the best experience was here . Alan called us when he saw I was online looking for a car he answered my questions and invited my wife and I down to have a look and test drive a car. Alan explained in detail the features of the cars we test drove he listened to our questions and understood what we were looking for and what our needs were. Alan helped us work a great deal on our trade in and got the dollar amount we needed out if it . everyone we meet in the process of buying our car shared a warm smile a heartfelt hello. We even got follow up calls to see if we were happy with our purchase something no other dealership has ever done. I recommend this dealership and give them a score of 100% on all fronts read more

BEWARE!! Unequivocally the worst experience ever- not just at a car dealership. The salesman was quite objectively sleazy. Pressure, fast talk and disinformation was his game. He was like a characterfure of a used cal salesman but selling new cars instead. When the deal fell through, he actually called my girlfriend and me obscenities and began screaming at us and berating us. He literally threw our keys at us and wanted to go outside and FIGHT. The guy was truly and completely insane and his co-workers had to physically restrain him. The sales manager was NOT apologetic but one of the other salesman was clearly ashamed. As a physician and military officer, I strongly cautio you against choosing to investigate Hyundais at this very small and shady dealership. My only explantation is that Apache Junction is the methamphetamine capital of Arizona and perhaps the dealership has an employee pool limited to such unstable individuals. read more

My car was cared for very well. The waiting area is comfortable. Staff is friendly. However, the service/prices aren't as good as they used to be at this dealership. I used to bring the 2007 Hyundai Entourage here for just about everything since the dealership's prices were comparable to other places. This time my transmission flush at Horne was $239 whereas the same service was available at Full Circle Auto for $129.00. I chose Horne this time because I needed to have a diagnostic done, which I was charged for. Horne used to provide complimentary diagnostics and recommendations that made it worth paying a few extra dollars for a service. I no longer feel like I'm getting great deals on routine maintenance. No incentive to choose the dealership over other businesses. read more

One of the roof rails on my 2019 Hyundai Tucson came loose after going through a local car wash. The service writer as well as the service manager said it would not be covered due to "collision damage" and sent me on my way. Now, I wasn't worried about a little scuff mark, but why it came loose in the 1st place. Neither of them took the time to actually take the rail off and look to see what might have happened. I took it the next day to Walt's body shop in Apache Junction fully prepared to have them order a new one. He took the old one off and looked at the threads on the bolts, popped off the little caps, installed 4 nuts and said that it had never been bolted down from the factory. Just wondering why the "service department" didn't want to take a look for the reason for it becoming loose in the first place. I wouldn't recommend the service department for that very reason. 5 minutes and they would have found the cause. read more

Rude customer service from the beginning. Husband traded in vehicle 8/19/18. Four days later call to say loan didn't go thru...why because your lazy and only sent it to one bank. Had me come in to co-sign. 8/23/18. It is now 9/6/18 called to ask about why our vehicle has not been paid off. They have 3 weeks to pay off vehicles for anyone who doesn't know this although they request A ten-day pay off so if your vehicle isn't paid off you will owe whatever interest you have passed those 10 days and if your payment is due you'll be required to make your next payment also. When I didn't get a phone call back I decided to go in in in person Philip was extremely rude as he was the first day that we got the car. He got the general manager and basically they told me that I was upset because I had to trade in my vehicle. They assured me that my trade-in would be paid off before my next payment is due it's been 19 days since I've given them my vehicle and still no check has been cut to have my vehicle paid off I went to the bank to verify this after I left their dealership. on the new vehicle the bank has no information or paperwork for the new car and the payment is due in a couple weeks. So if you want the job to have to follow up making sure your shit gets paid off go ahead and buy from this dealership. Basically told me they didn't have time for me they had more important things to deal with and deal with me. read more

Horne Hyundai - Car Dealers Near Me - Apache Junction, Arizona

Purchased second Santa Fe from this business. First one, a 2009, had issues of engine just dying in middle of 60-70 mph travel. They couldn't find problem. Happened to be in Boise, ID, one day, took it to a dealer there and they had problem fixed in 10 minutes. Now have a 2017 Santa Fe purchased from this dealer and having engine stalling issues. Have had to dealer 3 or 4 times, they can find no problems although numerous complaints across the nation for same problem; they can find nothing. Took car in because airbag light coming on. Under warranty, part ordered. Took in for replacement and about 2 days later light comes on again. Gave it some time to maybe reboot but not such luck. Took it back and THIS time they found connection in passenger seat is trouble. They are ordering new passenger seat. If this issue is ever resolved, I will not be doing business with this dealer or their service people. If dealer cannot get good, knowledgeable service people, then they shouldn't advertise that service is available. Bad service reflects on whole business! read more

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. We bought a vehicle from them last year, Go to trade it in this weekend and the carfax that we never got from them, but from the new dealer, has a total loss, insurance against it. What does this mean? This dealership sold me a car that was totaled out because it was cheaper to write a check to a person than to fix the damages. Was I informed of this? Never once, if I had, this vehicle never would have been bought. Move along when looking for a dealership, this one is complete garbage. read more

Horne Hyundai - more like Horne, give me your money. Make an appointment and they're happy to see you to help. The second you get there and say you have a warranty they say someone else should have helped you and your warranty isn't covered because the product isn't damaged. It's obviously damaged if it's not working. That is the god damn definition of damaged. Shame on Michael Saenz, the assistant service manager at 1360 east auto center drive, Apache junction, Arizona. His poor attitude and unwillingness to help someone with a warranty is shameful. How convenient a hacker tapped into TrueCar and made a single post at a phoenix suburb dealership. What a random hacker. The next day at work, the salesman I had previously emailed replied only saying "where is this published?" and NOTHING else, not even a professional signature. I responded and heard nothing. I bought a 2020 Palisades from Horne Hyundai on April 12, 2020. I was sold a Customer Care Plan by Steve Bennett, who is not the normal finance manager. When I went to change to synthetic motor oil I found out there were hidden charges. That is the one thing I asked him about because I wanted synthetic motor oil. I called Hyundai USA and found out that their FREE SERVICE PLAN covers it for less money. I called Steve Bennett 3 times and he DID NOT even have the decency to call me back. He pawned me off on someone else that said too bad. I found out that he didn't even sign me up for the warranty he said he would. When I tried to cancel and get my money back they said only prorate i and no refund even though it was wrong and I was lied too. Yesterday, I took my Palisade in and had the oil changed at Horne. Today my wiper fluid didn't work. I took it back and they said a hose was disconnected. They can't even do an oil change without messing it up. Out of the whole situation I would not be writing this if Steve had bothered to speak to me and not be disrespectful and act like customer's don't matter. I will never deal with Horne Hyundai again. I give this business o stars! I've been a loyal customer at this business, and have bought four vehicles from this company. I believe in shopping local, but no more Horne Hyundai for me ! I purchased a 2012 Hyundai Sonata there, four years ago with a platinum warranty that added hundreds of dollars to the cost. I had no problems with this vehicle and only drove it around locally, so it is still low mileage. It recently developed a shimmy in front with the steering. I looked it up online and it was a recall for this car, a rubber bushing in the steering column. I explained to Mike ,the person who received the car at Horne, I only wanted warranty ,or recall work done on the vehicle ,since I have major medical bills at this time. I left the car ,and within a half hour he called and said there were wires that would have to be cut and resoldered to do the job, and they were not covered by the warranty and would be $250 to do. The car ,being unsafe to drive as is I agreed. When I picked up the car there was an extra $27 dollars added on as tax, making the total $277. He showed me the wires they cut and spliced, four # 18 wires. Each about the size of a ramen noodle. I was an electrician for 45 years. An first year apprentice could have done that job in 15 minutes ! $75 dollars per wire ! Needless to say ,I wont be doing business there anymore ! If I could do zero stars I would !
