I just purchased my first Ford through Horne Ford. The Truck is amazing and I am very happy with my truck. The sales man was very nice and took the time to help me find the right truck for my needs. However the day I drove off the lot started the next 2 months of hell with Horne Ford. I worked with the finance manager Brian from the start, he called me a few days later to request additional paperwork for my finance approval. It was not a big deal and I dropped of what they needed a few days later. 2 weeks later Brian called to advise they needed more paperwork and he stated I was dragging my feet! Really? Of course this upset me due to I dropped off what was already needed and it ended with Brian yelling at me over the phone, great customer service right? 3 weeks later a guy called to advise I need to pay my deposit when I already put money down, then he asked me then what do we need from you? (He was the one calling me)!! As time passed they still did not have me approved and my previous trade in still was not paid off and it hit my credit because I was late. However Horne Ford was not letting me know what was going on and I assumed they paid it off! They also had my trade in on the lot already for sale!! I was still responsible for the payments however they could already try to sell it..... So I have been working with my previous finance company to help this not impact my credit, all I needed was a letter from Horne ugh! Well as you could predict I will no longer be working with Brian because he only knows how to be a bully and I do not like to be talked down to he is a scumb bag! So I talked to an sales manager Ken Gluck (they would not let me talk to Brian's manager Steve GM). Ken spoke to me right in front of other people on the floor and he knew I was upset with the way I was treated and he did not handle the situation professional at all of you ask me. He told me he would send an letter to my previous finance company to get this removed from my credit due to it was truly their mistake. Of course he did not follow through what a shocker huh? I started this journey the end of February and here we are the end of April and I can say with relief my truck was finally approved, wait it doesn't stop there! After I found out I was approved I got my first bill in the mail just a few days later, and I was already 10 days late! I was just told it would be due 30 to 45 days after it was approved!! So I am still paying on my previous truck 3 payments now and I have a bill for my new truck when they still haven't paid off my previous trade in, and get this I just learned that they sold my trade in already, how is that possible?!? I called Ford financing due to Horne Ford was no help at all they called the finance company to see if they could push back the due date and they said I had to call to follow up! I called and they knew nothing about what had happened, they were advised by Horne Ford that I just wanted to push back my payment with no explanation! I am happy to say Ford financing did work with me and push back my due date until my trade in will be fully paid off however I can let you know I will no longer be doing business with Horne Ford and I would not recommend them at all. Make sure you do your research first and check out Yelp they have several reviews there as well! They Finance department should be someone you can trust when you are making a larger purchase and at Horne Ford they are just scumb bags and do not know anything about customer service! I would highly recommend San Tan Ford or any other Ford dealers! read more

They lie to you in dealer ads then try to up sell garbage products that are pre installed on there sticker addendum added to the manufacturers sticker , but were applied at the dealership . So if you see a sale price be aware because they will try to add $799 paint crap protection (as if they invented something better then the manufacturer ) plus $499 for window tint that cost $149 anywhere else plus $379 for some stupid window etching that if the car gets stolen nets you $2,500 . What a crap load when every car has insurance on it in case it gets stolen . And on top of that there buyers order documentation fee is $499 . That is an amazing $2,176 extra on top of there advertised price . It doesn't end there. I went there with an advertised used car price and they still tried to add $2176 to the price of a 1 year old used car . I contacted another dealer with the same year used car and got it for $2700 less plus they included an extended power train warranty till 100k miles or 5 years . They saved about $3,100 . I was ashamed the sales person actually told my clients my commission was included in the price . I am a car shopper and take people out to buy cars so they don't deal with these headaches . I was embarrassed when driving to the other dealer and the customer asked me what about your commission the salesperson mentioned . The dealer gives a bird dog or referral fee of $100 and not commission . That insensitive remark made about my commission ruins my reputation . it looked like I was trying be dishonest with my customers . The best car sellers never mention the word me and this guy thought he was so important that his words were strong enough to change minds . There is nothing gained by using the word me when you are a car sales man . He did the exact opposite . I hope some people read this review and hold people accountable to fairness . I am sure another 20 cars could have been closed in that one office . The shameful part is they could sell more cars by doing business a little different . The optics are pretty simple . Do not talk and minimize your comments to gain knowledge of the circumstances in order to make a good deal . Open your ears and shut your mouth is what I told my staff . My staff also had reviews printed out in there drawers to be handed to possible be back customers to show why our car is worth there consideration . This way customers that are not ready , read why they should buy the car/suv/truck . If they looked at a few different models yours would stick out because you spent postage money . You are not trusted when you over play your mouth . There are cars all over the place and to assume another dealership is pulling the same add on crap both on new and used cars is both moronic and adolescent . We ended up driving to Auto Nation Hyundai in Tempe and there was not the same issue there . I ended up cutting my shopper fee in half ( less $250 ) because of the unnecessary hassle pulled at this dealership . So buying the exact same Used car at another dealership saved my clients $2700 and a warranty so about $3100 difference . Why they would not try to save the deal by removing there aftermarket add-ons on a used car is very shameful and a waste of my time . The fact that a car has a price of $13,588 on the window and I could not buy it for that is very sad . The fact that my clients lost trust in me for no reason is NOT ACCEPTABLE . The fact that I actually like the New car manager is also shameful that I must write this review . read more

If you enjoy the thrill of waiting, the suspense of wondering what's going on with your car, and the excitement of being completely ignored, then Horne Hyundai Service Center is the place for you! My car was in their "care" for a full 5 months, and let me tell you, it was an unforgettable ride -- mostly because I never knew what was going on. Here's how it went down: Step 1: Drop car off, thinking it'll be fixed in a week. The service team guarantees it'll be ready soon. Step 2: Weeks turn into months. I called more times than I care to admit, only to be told, "We're still working on it," or "Let me check on that for you." Spoiler alert: they rarely did. Step 3: Finally, after MONTHS of silence, I get the call that my car is ready. I'm thinking, "Finally, it's fixed!" -- WRONG. I pick it up, and not only is it still broken, but now it has additional issues. I guess it was too much to ask for them to actually, you know, fix the thing they've had for half a year. Mind you I live 200 miles away from the dealership in rural AZ. Communication? What's that? I think the only time they actually picked up the phone was when they made wild accusations about the rental car (I'd give the 1.5 stars, because they did at least let me use rental car) They returned the vehicle to me with no resolution (and admitted there won't be a resolution). The car has 85k on it. Hyundai refuses to help or stand by their vehicle which also contributes to the frustration of the whole ordeal. In conclusion, if you enjoy the luxury of being completely in the dark and waiting around for months at a time with no end in sight, Horne Hyundai Service Center is a must-visit. If you'd like your car to actually get fixed, however... well, you might want to try anywhere else. read more

The BEST place to purchase a vehicle is Horne Hyundai in Apache Junction, Arizona. When I purchased a vehicle in May 2015, never in my wildest dreams did I think I would have an even better experience. My purchase in April 2019 was even better. The saleswoman, Lorie C. was the best salesperson ever. She is very knowledgeable about the vehicles/products, she LISTENED to what I wanted and didn't push anything on me. She was personable and we had some great conversation. Lorie helped set everything up from the radio stations to the blue link. It was Lorie that made this an overall enjoyable experience. Then we move on to the finance man, Karl C. Normally one would think that the finance piece would be unpleasant, but not with Karl. He was personable, funny and a great conversationalist, plus he did things in a very timely and organized manner. I don't know how Karl did it, but he made finance fun. Lastly, we have Michael S., the man in charge of servicing your vehicle. He was awesome every time I had my 2015 serviced. My vehicle was serviced timely and he never overbooked. He got you in at your appointment time and if you came in a bit early that was usually when he got started on the servicing. He always explained everything. Lastly he washed your vehicle for you. I look forward to him taking care of my 2019. From start to finish, this dealership is awesome. One a scale of 1 to 10, Horne Hyundai is a 100. How many times have you ever said you have enjoyed the vehicle buying process? I can say twice. Go check them out! You will not regret it! read more

This may be one of the worst dealerships in Arizona. My son and I went to see a vehicle advertised and potential purchase his new car. We found the advertised one and liked it enough to make an offer. After several back and forth negotiations, they had me sign the paperwork with the agreed pricing and we shook hands and they went to start the paperwork. Not five minutes later the head sales guy comes out to tell us that he made a mistake and they could not honor the price they gave us. He said the GM made him renege on the deal. Some General Manager. They said it was too low. Mmmmmm, not ethical at all. When was the last time you could take a car back to the dealer saying you thought you paid too much? Unethical and dishonest are the first words that come to mind here. My sin asked me why would this happen to us, and i replied that it was a life lesson for him, to know that not all men are bound by their word or their honor. I write this now as my son lies in his bed nauseous from the ordeal. It was really the first time he had ever seen a grown man (adult) willingly commit fraud and be openly dishonest. A lesson i could never teach him, but one worth learning before it is too late. I am a retired veteran and as much as we think we can protect our children for the bad people in life, we are only prolonging the inevitable. I just had an amazing experience in purchasing my car at the Horne Hyundai Dealership in Apache Junction, AZ is this past weekend! I bought a gorgeous, fully loaded, Hyundai Elantra, LTD; Metallic Beige. This is my third vehicle I have purchased at the AJ Horne Hyundai. My experience was fantastic from my salesman, Diego, to the business Manager, Karl. I was very specific with the color of vehicle, as well as the safety features I wanted. They went above and beyond to find every option I asked for (and oh so many more!), yet kept it just under where I told them I wanted my monthly payment to be at. My greatest gratitude goes out to the amount of time that that was taken in setting up every feature of software from the vehicle to my iphone, as well as how to use each feature! I was even given personal cell phone numbers in case I needed a question answered and didn't have time to go to the dealership. I was also sincerely invited to come back as many times as I needed, to learn the myriad of options that my new car offers me -which I have already done- I was treated very cheerfully, and Diego was happy to answer all my questions, as well as show me even more fun and exciting options my car has at my fingertips. Now I am enamored not only with my beautiful new car -- but I'm enamored with this fantastic car dealership! I'd strongly recommend them to all my friends and family! Amy Russell read more

I can't say enough good about Jorge, Alain, and Horne Hyundai. The customer service was exceptional; we had specific parameters - including wanting to be in and out quickly, and all were upheld. Jorge and Alain could not have been more thorough, responsive, polite, professional. We called on Monday night, three short calls, a couple of easy emails, then Tuesday went in to pick up the car, sign and pay - in and out in 45 minutes as we requested, nothing rushed, nothing left undone. This is the first time I've walked away from a dealer completely satisfied, and not feeling like I've somehow been screwed. I have and will continue to refer them to my friends, family and co-workers. They have gained a customer for life. No hassles, no pushing, no last-minute upcharges. They know their business, they follow through, and most important (considering most was done over the phone and verbal), they kept their word. I cannot recommend them highly enough - give them a try!!! I initially went to San Tan Hyundai and had a horrible experience - the sales manager literally gave me a headache. Called Horne, told them what I wanted, they worked with me, and the next day I walked out 45 minutes later with a great deal, and beautifully detailed car - when was the last time that happened?! read more

I am a USAA customer and was referred to Horne Hyundai through USAA, even though I live in Tucson. I worked with James Santiago. One thing I noticed right away was how open he was about pricing and how honest he was. I am good with numbers and I like to see that the salesperson not only knows his stuff but is truthful with me as the customer. James got an A+ for both of those. James also helped me find the car I was looking for without trying to upsell me and without trying to convince me to buy something else. I appreciated that. As a Realtor, I believe in not "selling" to people but rather helping them find what it is they are looking for. It was nice to see that Horne Hyundai has the same philosophy. James was extremely communicative and even drove the car down to Tucson for me. I know they don't usually do that, but going the extra mile (or miles in this case) sealed the deal for me and left a very positive impression in my mind about the whole transaction. Because I had such a positive experience, I will go back to see James in the future when I am in the market for another vehicle. It is nice to know there is someone out there selling cars in a trustworthy and fair manner. To me, it is worth the drive to deal with people who I know will treat me well. read more

My wife Alice and I have just purchased a new car from Horne Hyundai last night. It is a Hyundai Tucson SEL and we were very pleased on how well they handled our needs. Lori Ceal and her assistant Autumn in Sales and Philip in Finance treated us with respect like part of their family. The staff always made sure we were taken care of properly and was satisfied. This is our first foreign car and Lori placed me at ease that the quality and workmanship exceeded other foreign car makers. Horne & Lorie Ceal and the rest of the staff went out of their way to make sure we were able to get a new vehicle. No stress no pressure pleasant atmosphere. They never once made us feel inferior.. We greatly appreciate Lori patience with us both being two Senior citizens (both over 66 yrs) and to explain how the car options works. She had to repeat one step over again, yet never show any frustration with our questions. We love our brand new car, Thank you Horne Hyundai for all you have done for us. Philip read more

This is the first time we've EVER taken the time to write a review and it is based on our great experience. We stopped at Horne Hyundai last September and our sales rep Kevin Viesselman was great! He was professional, friendly and took his time with us (test drove 2 cars) - even though we told him we were just shopping around and would not be buying a car at the time. 3 or 4 months went by while we shopped other possibilities. During that time we kept looking at various dealers and cars, both in person and online. We saw one at Horne Hyundai online and stopped in to check it out. It wasn't the right car for us so we told the team exactly what we were looking for and they found it for us - the same day. We did purchase that used Sonata! We did not feel pressured AT ALL during the entire process, and the salesmen and the finance staff were very respectful and mindful of our budget. We definitely recommend Horne Hyundai! read more

Like everyone else, I wanted to get a great deal on a new car. I shopped the internet and did my research. I did not want to haggle over the price and waste everyone's time going back and forth. I'm busy, I've got to work for a living, time is money! I certainly did not want to feel any pressure to get something or some feature I did not want. All of these fears were gone when I contacted Michelle at Horne Hyundai. I told her what I wanted, she came back at me with their best price, all of which was done via emails. It was the best price in town. I drove down from Tucson, did the paperwork, and picked up the perfect vehicle for me. Plus, they gave me a great trade in allowance on my old 277000 mile car. Austin, the sales manager, was very friendly and the whole process was professional. Do yourself a favor and get into this dealership. It's not the biggest in town, and I liked the personal touch. read more

We've been searching for a used car for a while and recently stopped by this dealership to check one out. While we ultimately didn't end up purchasing the vehicle, we had the absolute pleasure of working with Fred, and I can't say enough good things about him. Fred was incredible from start to finish. He made the entire process feel easy and stress-free, and he was patient, understanding, and genuinely kind throughout. He took the time to answer all of our questions and never made us feel pressured at any point, which we really appreciated. Even though we didn't end up buying that particular car, Fred did everything he possibly could to help us, and his professionalism truly stood out. We would absolutely come back here in the future just to work with him again. If you're looking for someone who is honest, helpful, and truly cares about his customers, ask for Fred! You won't regret it! read more

Took me and husbands car in for intermittent check engine light and misfire issue (can you guess the problem?) and was told they would look into it. Was assured they would get to the bottom of it. Well after being shued away from the Scottsdale Hyundai I had a third party dealer look at it and they told me what the problem was and printed it out. Took it to Horne just to hear the same bs the other Hyundai told me. Hyundai doesn't actually honor the warranty. 55000 miles and ignition coil and spark plug are failing but they can't do anything about it cause check engine light isn't on. They are a joke and don't know anything about customer service. Don't buy a car from Hyundai or Horne in general They do not honor they're warranty. Thx Hyundai for your lack in honesty and integrity. Also for taking my car for two full days and achieving nothing. Thx you so much. read more

Buying a car in my past experiences can be, well you know! Buying a car at Horne Hyundai changed my perception. I will give a personal compliment to my salesman Mark Deetz, who gave no pressure, was knowledgeable, friendly, and if he didn't know an answer he made sure he found out for you. Another compliment to the sales manager Phillip Mattice, there was no back and forth trying to get the best deal for me. He took his time working up the best options available and presented them all to me at once so I could choose. Even though I went in pre-qualified and had a car in mind, I left in a different car because they wanted to put me in the best car for me. The rest of the staff/employees were friendly, everyone had a smile, and the lobby was comfortable. Horne Hyundai are getting the right people to work for them, A+! read more

James I dealt with on the phone yesterday and he got me prepared to come in with all of the necessary documents to have a smooth experience. He was going to be off today so he told me Hal would be taking care of me. What a pleasant, positive person and such a joy to work with and chat with during the process which we all know is a long one. Once Karl, the Sales Manager, was ready for me I found out we went to the same college for part of the same years so it was great to chat with him about our alma mater while I was signing on the dotted line numerous times as is customary with financing a vehicle. I had an excellent Mother's Day with these two gentlemen, my daughter and my best friend going through this process. I am thrilled I chose to go to this dealership and if need be in the future will go to them again. read more

Had the best experience of my life with the purchase of my new vehicle. My salesman, Hal Macit, asked pertinent questions and really fit the car to the buyer. His engaging personality is what draws you in and his knowledge of your needs and his product come together to fit the buyer with exactly what they are looking for and need to feel comfortable with their purchase. I am completely in love with my new vehicle and would never question going back to see Hal, and if he is not at this branch, I will seek him out to get the best service EVER. My finance man, Craig, was amazing as well. I have never spent such a short, no stress time purchasing a vehicle. THANK YOU HAL, FOR AN EXPERIENCE BEYOND ANYTHING I COULD HAVE EXPECTED. YOU ARE WORTH YOUR WEIGHT IN GOLD, TO SAY THE LEAST. Pat Pearson read more

Buying a new car with Horne Hyundai was the best new car buying experience I've ever had. No pressure from the "Car Salesman". I was greeted by Mark Deets and Lorie Ceal with a warm welcome. I explained my situation to Mark and he was able to find a car that worked with my budget and credit and with the car options that I wanted. He showed me that I could afford a brand new 2017 car that was cheaper than some of the used cars. Wow!!!! And signing the papers, Alan Duval explained each line and service and warranty and terms of my loan. I could not believe that I could afford a new car! I will come back to Horne for my next car. And I will tell everyone I meet to go to Horne Hyundai. read more

I went into the dealership today with plans on trading my car in for a better family vehicle. Yan, the sales rep, jumped quickly into figuring out my situation and determining my best options. He was very friendly and informative and brought me a great deal. The finance manager, Jarvis, worked quickly to get the paperwork filled out. He helped me complete the purchasing process with ease and made sure to inform me on all of my options when it comes to maintenance plans. Both of these guys made my experience very enjoyable, quick, and left me satisfied with my purchase. I would certainly recommend Horne Hyundai to anyone looking to purchase a new vehicle. read more

I recently purchased a new Vehicle from Horne Hyundai and it was a great experience. I worked with Jarvis, Business Manager who was very patient, answered all my questions, explained everything in detail and great to work with. My salesman was Yan who was honest, knowledgeable and wanted to make sure I was getting the vehicle I wanted, no pressure at all. I noticed that all the staff help one another and it was not the cut-throat atmosphere like a lot of dealerships. It was a pleasant buying experience and I'm happy with my new car.
