Bought a brand new Palisade here. I am truly thankful to the staff and management. Chris, our salesperson, was very knowledgeable about the complex features of the Palisade Calligraphy. He was not pushy and had a team attitude, deferring to other staff when appropriate. Jorge, from management, was focused on listening to us and getting a price and financing that truly considered our needs and desires. We shopped other dealerships after Horne offered what we felt was a good deal. We went to Earnhardt Hyundai in person and they were surprised at the deal Horne offered us. We also considered other Hyundai dealers in the valley as well as possibly selling our car to CarMax or Carvana. After our due diligence, we ended back at Horne to close the deal. We are very happy with the new Palisade and also very happy with our experience at Horne. Not often that I finish buying a new car and days later I still feel like I got a good deal and was treated with respect by the entire dealership team. Looking forward to a continued relationship as an owner of a quality vehicle with so many features that it is actually entertaining to drive. read more

Aggressive sales tactics and dismissive management - avoid this dealership As a loyal, multi-time Hyundai owner, I referred a close family member here trusting she would be taken care of. What followed was a masterclass in aggressive, manipulative high-pressure sales tactics from sales reps Caleb and Jorge. She arrived pre-sold, needing a vehicle immediately, with a 790+ credit score, $15k cash down, and a specific Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Tucson in mind. When she expressed interest in the advertised 0% financing promo and mentioned she was open to discussing a new car if the total price remained under $30k, Caleb and Jorge immediately used it as a leverage point: Caleb took her on a test drive for a completely different vehicle, claiming they "couldn't find the keys" to the CPO Tucson she came to view. Caleb disparaged the CPO program altogether and claimed low interest rates were strictly for brand-new cars, refusing to discuss competitive financing options for the CPO model. When she resisted, Caleb brought in Jorge to tag-team her into a pricier new vehicle outside her budget. They weaponized the existing issues with her trade-in--dramatizing its condition to heighten her stress, despite her already being fully aware of it and specifically there to replace it. They kept her trade-in keys and used secretive, pressure-heavy tactics that left her feeling bullied and disrespected, forcing her to leave without ever seeing the car she came for. When management was contacted, instead of offering an apology or addressing Caleb and Jorge's behavior, a representative called simply to justify showing the wrong vehicles and defend their position. A follow-up email outlining these concerns was ignored entirely. It is deeply disappointing to see a buyer with cash in hand driven away by greed and intimidation tactics. Take your business to a dealership that treats customers with respect. read more

Not thrilled having to drive across town and go through the inspection process just to find this at the last minute. Salesperson Izzy claimed I'd made the damage during my test drive. Sales manger Kahi admitted a previous customer found the issue and they were forced to make a discount. Refused to bring down the price more than a couple hundred or repair. read more

Sales personal are tough to deal with. I would never buy from Horne Hyundai. Plenty of other dealers in the area.

I been meaning to leave this review for awhile but it was in December 2021. I had purchased a car online with Chris Dresel and we were emailing a price. We agreed to a price (Great salesmen and later told me its not his fault and the company wants more) and I drove all the way to write the papers but I was approached by the 'sales manager' the manager then told me the price was void and would NOT honor the price. I was quite irritated over the situation but during the last end of the pandemic I knew the cars inventory was short. I had checked 3 other dealers and Horne was slightly still better (they marked up my car for 2500 with my offer being rejected). I would of not been mad if they told me this prior about marking up car prices cause honestly other dealerships marked up their inventory. The manager went out to tell me how the he would not honor the contract (email) cause they needed to "keep the lights up, and keeping the building open". Now at this time... i am NOT LIEING... they had 1 other car on the lot... yes these were trialing times... but the fact that they changed the price after we emailed was not acceptable. I renegotiated mud flaps (yes I could only get those) for like 90 (30) install... total was 120? From them jacking up my price for 2000 (it had a prior 500) for this "market adjustment". For a Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. When i showed up for the flaps install the rep told me i had to pay full price... i told them no and I told them about Drisell and I went on the story how I got jacked up on the price. They told me they had to check my contract next door at Horne Ford cause thats where they kept the paper contracts. In the end they wasted 1 hour+ in addition to my time holding my crap that was over market adjustment due to not having their paper work filled. The least they could of done was feed me lunch for waiting around from this error and poor email communication. I hope they fixed their paper work now and communication but overall. 2020 to 2022 shows their true colors.... poor communication, trapping customers to pay more and show no compassion.... these were the years of character and integrity should of shown... buyer beware of potential bait and switch and never honor their emails and always keep files... especially paper cause it saved me $$$$ read more

My husband and I just purchased a 2025 Santa Fe and we're on day four-- we absolutely love it! The entire process was stress-free and incredibly smooth. We did everything online with Izzy, and he was truly a blessing to work with. He helped us get the numbers just right, and when we walked into the dealership, we waited no more than 30 minutes before everything was finalized. This was by far the fastest and easiest car-buying experience we've ever had. Huge thank you to the entire team and especially to Izzy! If you're in the market for a vehicle, Izzy is the one to go to. Highly recommend! read more

I took my 2019 Kona in for a recall involving the ignition lock, from the start it was obvious they wanted to make a buck off me. So here I am at Horne Hyundai on Saturday looking at this really nice looking 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe perfect color inside and out has 6000 miles on it which you know for 25 is a lot. The price is 33 865 thinking why don't we go look at the deal? See what it's gonna be like with and without down payment or trade-in . So I get my sales person to go talk to the sales manager and figure out what it's gonna cost. I remember 33 865 was what was on the window he come back with 40,865 is what they wanted at the door with 5000 down which would've been 35 865 roughly and I said so where did you come up with that number Tax and license maybe 3000 but 40,000 and some change yeah that's not false advertisement I don't know who is they did the same thing with my 2016 Kia Optima that I bought there as a used vehicle one price on the window two completely different prices once you sit down with them, they're very sketchy! I have the paperwork to prove it read more

I had so many issues with getting someone to call me back when my trade in wasn't paid off for over 5 weeks. Even the general manager promised to call me back and never did, this place is a joke. All they care about is the survey. I wish I had waited to do it until everything was completed. Do not buy any maintenance plan. It is a joke. The finance person LIED saying not only did it cover oil changes and tire rotations but windshield wipers and engine/cabin filter and gave discounts on other items. He brought it up when I mentioned it wasn't worth the cost based on the fact that I do 2 oil changes a year if that. And sadly I had to bring the car in for some other things that are broken, on a brand new car, and I asked my service advisor because I read it in my welcome letter that only oil changes are covered from the 3rd party and he shook his head and told me he hears this all the time. Shameful. And at this point it's a he said she said situation. The worst thing is to be lied to. From not paying off my vehicle for over 5 weeks to promising calls back that never happened and now this. No other words but WOW! read more

This was one of the most frustrating and disappointing car-buying experiences we've ever had. We drove over an hour to this dealership with the intention of purchasing a 2022 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy that had been represented to us, both in writing and in person, as Hyundai Certified Pre-Owned for a $33,000 out-the-door price. Based on that understanding, we came fully prepared to complete the purchase. We completed the test drive, spent hours at the dealership, and provided all of our personal and financial information, believing we were moving forward under the agreed terms. Only at the very end of the process, when payment was about to be submitted, were we told that the vehicle would not be certified. The explanation had nothing to do with eligibility or mechanical issues, but rather internal cost considerations. We were also told the vehicle passed mechanically. Instead, we were offered a dealership service contract as a substitute for Hyundai CPO coverage, which is simply not the same thing. What made this experience especially upsetting was how late this information was disclosed. After investing so much time and effort, we felt misled and completely drained. Had this been communicated upfront, we would never have made the long drive or spent hours there. We are sharing this review so other customers can be aware and avoid going through the same situation. read more

We had an absolutely amazing experience. My husband reached out about a 2026 Teal Ionic 5 EV as we had a horrible experience with another dealer on 4/26. Jose responded almost immediately after my husband sent an inquiry email, even found the vehicle and sent a video to my husband. We visited the following night 4/29 and worked with Izzy. We didn't arrive until 6:30 PM but he showed us around, gathered info from us without being assuming or pushy, found a similar vehicle not already being prepped so he could over the everything including the charger and other items. We returned 4/30 to complete the paperwork. They had not tinted the windows yet, so that was completed Friday 5/1. Izzy delivered our new vehicle to our home around lunch 5/1. He called to check on us later that evening reminding us that if we needed anything to please reach out to him. I would definitely recommend this dealership and IZZY!!!!!!!! read more

We recently purchased a new Santa Fe Hybrid and had the pleasure of working with salesperson Raymond Cancel. He was wonderful to work with -- patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. He took the time to show us multiple options on the lot and answered all our questions without ever rushing or pressuring us into a decision. In the world of bait‑and‑switch car sales, this dealership takes the crown. I spent days talking to their salesperson -- locked in the price, the terms, the exact car I wanted. They confirmed everything, acted like the deal was solid, and kept me on the hook. Then, right when I was ready to sign, they suddenly claimed the car had "just been sold." No warning. No honesty. Horne Hyundai: Where Contracts Get Hyundone & Regrets Come Standard I wish I could give Horne Hyundai zero stars. My experience with them has been nothing short of a nightmare. What should have been a simple car purchase turned into an exhausting ordeal filled with misleading practices, unprofessional behavior, and even health issues. After placing a $1,000 deposit for a 2017 VW Tiguan and signing a contract, I was repeatedly asked to sign new contracts (3 in total - I know I should have walked then) with unnecessary warranties. When I questioned these, I was told the dealership would "lose money" and that I could either sign or return the vehicle. This felt like blatant manipulation. The car I purchased had an issue with the driver's door lock, which wasn't disclosed at the time of purchase. While they eventually fixed it, I was left without a solution or alternative transportation until it was resolved. The worst part came when I was told I had to pay an additional $1,800, make payments, or return the car, despite communication from the lender stating the loan had been approved and they were waiting on the dealership. This communication came from their "Customer Service Advocate," who seemed more focused on earning a negative review than actually performing his duty as an advocate for the customer. When I asked for clarification about yet another contract change, I was met with unreasonable demands and threats of repossession. The stress from this situation led to a gallbladder attack, requiring hospitalization. Additionally, I was recovering from surgery, which the dealership was fully aware of, making their demands for immediate action not only unreasonable but also dangerous for my health. Eventually, they came to my residence to pick up the car. I showed the General Manager my surgery scars to prove I wasn't intentionally keeping the vehicle, even though I had already provided my discharge paperwork and recovery timeframe. My deposit was returned two days later. This dealership operates in an extremely shady and unprofessional manner. Their communication is disjointed, and their treatment of customers is nothing short of unethical. Horne Hyundai's actions clearly violate FTC regulations and possibly Arizona's Consumer Fraud Act, and their lack of transparency and poor business practices should be investigated. Sales Team very unprofessional! I went in and looked at a used car. we stood in the parking lot while he parked and unparked cars. then walked up to the office while drove to wash the car. we sat at the desk while he pulled up his how to worksheets, never taking to us. I get being new but some sales training would've been nice here. THE WORST! I told the sales guy I didn't have a lot of time, so he went to his sales manager who came out and proceeded to tell me that I should just come back later. I said fine and got up and walked out. He followed me out of the store telling me loudly about how ridiculous I was being, in front of other customers mind you. anyone who is willing to argue with a customer and chase after them yelling for the next minute outside will never get my business. I was sure to tell everyone I know not to go to this dealership. we went to AutoNation and they found what we were looking for. Hunter and Jeff were amazing they were all amazing at AutoNation. Save yourself some embarrassment and headache and go to AutoNation in Chandler instead. read more

Really disappointed in the management. A complete waste of time! Check the window price against what they put for online price. Huge difference. Where they make this up? In the "Horne Protection Plan" Which we found out can be anywhere from $599 to $2,100. Why? This is where they make their money. Sadly, our newish sales guy was really sweet, but the manager was a real %*@hole. He didn't even have the balls to come out and talk to us about why there was such a big discrepancy on the price of the protection plan. Our loss? Nope... Your loss! You don't get our hard earned cash $$$ !! LOL read more

Life -long Horne customers - GONE! My wife and I purchased our last 3 vehicles from Horne in Apache Junction. The experience was fine and we never had an issue until we came back today. In my 28 yrs of purchasing vehicles, I've never had a more frustrating or insulting experience as we did today. Within the first 20 minutes it became painfully evident that Horne Hyundai wasn't interested in customer loyalty and weren't really into proper business ethics at all! Whether it be the insulting robbery they started with by missing even the lowest of blue book prices on (2) trade ins. The car appraiser should be fired! Or Horne should practice better ethics! Once Horne was called out on the trade in Value, and were presented with real facts, they were quickly able to offer more money......but they weren't willing to be honest up front, return customers or not....They simply did not care. The 2 finance goons sitting behind the glass should have their licenses checked. I know how much effort it takes to "get creative and these people did nothing! They either don't have the experience in the financial sector, are lazy or just practice bad ethics as if the glass is going protect them from their failures. My wife was hell bent on another Hyundai....you could not have done a better job of curing her of that today. Absolutely disgusting behavior by Horne and it's team. The only person willing to give effort today was the sales rep Susie....she deserves better than Horne also! This is not the same Horne Dealership experience we've done business with over the past 10 years...and we certainly won't be doing business with them ever again! Horne....Clean you house! read more

After a four-month search for my perfect car, test-driving over 17 cars, and having a not-great time at Earnhardt Hyundai, feeling more like they were taking advantage of me because I was a woman than just trying to sell me a car, I finally landed at Horne Hyundai in Apache Junction, thinking a smaller dealership and a non-Earnhardt dealership would be a better fit for me. I was ABSOLUTELY right! Kyle St. John was the perfect salesman for me, he wasn't pushy, he was kind, engaging & willing to do what he could to get me to my bottom line for the car I really wanted. Everyone I encountered at this dealership over the two days I spent there was professional, not pushy, and very kind. Even when I made a request that ended up being more of a challenge than expected, they handled it with grace and kindness. If you're looking to buy a Hyundai, I highly recommend taking a drive to this dealership. I have nothing negative to say about my experience buying my Palisade from them. read more

Dealership made promises they didn't keep. They pulled up the carfax and hid the fact it was in an accident.

They used to be good, but lately the last couple of times I took my car in they changed the price for the service they quoted me over the phone. Today I took my 2021 EV Kona in to have the coolant exchanged, they told me that it would be $198. But when I got there, I was told it would be $298. Because it was an EV, they knew this when I called them and was quoted the $198. To me, this is nothing short of the old bait and switch scam, and I will never do any business with them again. read more

My experience with Horne Hyundai was awful. Long story short, Susie was supposed to get me a breakdown / proposal of what a vehicle would be out the door. I waited hours for this proposal, (pretty much did not get it till following evening) finally she sends me a text saying "he was able to get that payment to $$$ a month" I responded with great can he please send the updated proposal. Susie said yes, we will get that over to you. At this point we were ready to go do paperwork but was waiting to see it on paper. I never received it, I called her, text her nothing. Susie text me back at 7pm asking if I tried to call her. I said "yes, I sure did, I never received proposal". Susie then said she sent it to me before she left. That was not the case, the manager I spoke to the following day, said he could not see any outgoing emails to my email address. Rewind a bit and that following morning after never receiving the proposal and never hearing back from Susie, I texted her again asking if someone can please send me proposal. Susie responded with "I am sorry, the vehicle was sold last night". I asked to speak with a manager and she put me in contact with Steve Bennett the GM. After explaining my frustration to him, he really had zero desire to make the situation any better. I went to Chapman Hyundai Phoenix and they took great care of me. read more

Be wary trading in a car here, especially if you still owe on it. I traded in a car that was valued more than my loan amount and the sales guy asked if I already paid for that month (june) and I had.
