Unprofessional staff! Went in for a used 18 Sonata and was told I could do a new sonata possibly. I told them I'd only take a new car IF I got the payments I wanted. Otherwise, I wanted the used sonata since I knew I'd have the payments I wanted. Everything was great until I talked to Craig, the internet manager or something. He called me with a payment way over what I had said. When I told him it was too high, he told me he "worked all day to get this deal" and it'll the he was "losing" $3500 on the deal. Already. Excuse me? Losing? Ha. Anyway, after he spoke to me like an A-Hole, I told him I wanted the used Sonata instead. HE TOLD ME NO! He said he worked too hard on this deal to call the banks back and talk to them about the used car instead. The point is, I wanted a used car, they wanted me in the new car. They convinced me to consider a new car. After I agreed, they ONLY tried getting me the new car, which wasn't the deal, because they couldn't get in my payment range. I've seen other reviews about this Craig guy, sounds like the GM needs to hold him responsible for losing these sales. I ended up going to Earnhardt Hyundai in Scottsdale and got a great deal on a Hyundai Tucson, and was treated with dignity and respect! Imagine that! read more

They treat new employees like garbage I'm a mom of 4 and cannot believe they did me so dirty!!!! Courtney one of the managers shouldn't be a manager she is not professional at all she has issues in her own personal life and started taking them out on me I only worked there for a month and a half and within 3 weeks I seen her real personality and I cannot believe she is in management but maybe it's because she is psycho enough for the position apparently don't trust them!!! All they want is your money there is a couple nice people there but most of them are extremely fake and talk shit about everyone behind there backs!!! read more

After a bad experience at a Kia dealer in Tempe, I decided to give Horne Hyundai a try and I wasn't disappointed. From the time I walked in the door to the time I drove away with my new Palisade, I felt very appreciated and welcome. Regarding the Horne Hyundai dealer in Apache Junction Arizona: I made an appointment (three weeks in advance) for the recall on my Hyundai 2012 Elantra ABS system. The service group in this dealership was a fiasco. After waiting for my car for an hour, the service advisor told me that they don't have the part and needs to be ordered. He also said "don't blame us blame Hyundai". I said aren't we standing in the Hyundai Service Department? I also told him I didn't want a multi point inspection and he did it anyway. The ironic part about that is I just had my spark plugs changed and my transmission oil changed and they told me in the inspection report that those two items were recommended to be changed but with a big fat Hyundai price tag attached. I was totally pissed and this was a huge waste of my time. Question, Why didn't the service advisor "Steve" call me if the part wasn't here? I highly don't recommended this dealership, specifically the service department. read more

Went here for a service. We expected a similar experience as other dealerships we have gone to in the past for routine service on a leased car. Long story short, they said they did some kind of work to the vehicle in addition to what was covered on the lease and held our vehicle hostage until we paid appx 250$ We needed to get to the airport so just decided to pay and deal with it later. Well now we get no response from anyone in the service department. The most we know from the receptionist is " yes, there is record of you paying on that date...but there is no record of work being done so I can't tell you what was done to the car" We have left messages multiple times (3) and no one will contact us, it's been a few months now. Would never go here again. read more

I made an appointment and brought my car in to be serviced. It's a brand new car with only 3000 miles on it and it started to shake when I came to a stop. my appointment was at 10am I showed up around 945, was told that it would be a few hours, so I went and waited until after 12. I had not heard from anyone so I asked what the status was and I was told that they didn't even look at my car yet and it would be another hour or two. I was with my autistic son waiting and I said "are you kidding me how can I wait another two hours do you have a loaner or anything?" They said "no sorry, do you want to just reschedule?" The fact that I sat there for two hours without being told anything and then would've had to wait another two hours was absolutely ridiculous no explanations only thing I got was an apology. I took my car and now I have to get it serviced at another dealership. So disappointed and will never return. read more

Where do I even start, made an appointment for my 2017 Hyundai Elantra se for the anti theft recall. Service was fine but as I was leaving I got a tire light on my dashboard. I pulled to the side and found a nut and bolt in my tire. Like come on man I know I didn't have that before getting there! Not only that but how long does it take the dealership to put that information into the system?? I can't even get insurance for my vehicle because most insurances won't insure you without that recall being worked on. I got it serviced Friday 06/21/2024. I called first and they said that it wasn't up to them to put that into the system, that's it's the actual car company that needs to do that. His words not mine. When I called Hyundai support they told me that the dealership was the one that had to put that information in! have literally been spamming the dealerships with phone calls and not a single answer so damn unprofessional. Just want to get insurance not hard to simply put that my car has had the service. When it was finished they only gave me a paper. Should have at least gave me something that says this service was done and compete not just a receipt. Do better Hyundai read more

The service is the worst I have experienced. Go to any other dealership. San Tan is really busy for a reason. Much better support. The Service writers are extremely rude at Horne Hyundai for repairs. (Michael Saenz and Chris Chase). Even if the car is under warranty. Go anywhere else. Escalating to the GM (Steve Bennett) is not worth it. He is not willing to hear your side of the story. He is there to defend his team only. Below are their pics from their website. https://www.hornehyundai.com/meet-our-staff/ read more

We purchased a used 2016 Ford explorer today. Jay the salesman was great to deal with. I asked him if there were any Ford recalls and he assured me they were all done through there other dealer Horne Ford. So we do all the purchase paperwork and we leave. I get home and was doing all the paper work on line to rent out the car. As I am doing the online paper the notify me that the car can't be registered because there is an open recall. I call the dealer and speak with my salesman. We tells me he is going to speak to his GM and get back to me. I get a call from the internet sales manager and he says they can't help me out with this recall issue. I lose it and ask the guy who the hell is going to compensate me for the first payment until Ford fixes this issue and processes the paper work in there system which could take about 3-4 weeks. He says that's not our problem and if I would like he can get the GM to call me to discuss but he assured me I will get the same answer. About 15 min later the internet manager told me via text the the GM is leaving for the night and will call me tomorrow. I am sorry to say there management team sucks and I would not recommend you deal with them. I am so deeply disappointed beyond words. Why would the GM go home instead of taking care of this upset customer who has an important issue. I wish I would of seen ALL the negative reviews on here. I would not of dealt with them. read more

I bought a 2017 Hyundai ionic at this dealership. I took good care of the car and gave it a clean oil change and then I started to find out that there was coolant draining out of the coolant container. I took it to the Hyundai dealership and told him what the problem is they claim that there was no problem with the car and did not find any problem. I thought this was strange because I only owned the car for one year but yet it was having this problem and I stated that to them when I brought it in to have it checked out for that problem. Then another year later the coolant ran out again and I brought it into a Hyundai service in Phoenix and they did a pressure check and found that the coolant was draining into the head gasket and having oil and carbon on the spark plugs and it looked like the whole engine was blown. I am so disappointed I feel that this Hyundai dealership in Apache Junction sold me a lemon! I had to pay a lot of money to buy another car and get rid of my Hyundai ionic. Do not buy any Hyundai cars because I'm finding out as I research online that there is a problem with the coolant systems. read more

Met my son and his girlfriend here yesterday on 2-18 to look at some cars. He had already been in contact with somebody through the Internet and we both drove pretty far to come check them out and I'm glad we did. The whole team there from the salesman, manager and finance guy were all very professional and on point. Definitely feel like we were treated fairly and had a great experience. With so many options and dealerships and having a bad experience can be enough for anybody to not want to buy a new car. Wasn't the case here yesterday. We test drove and looked at quite a few cars and ended up leaving with a Hyundai ELANTRA. Would definitely recommend this dealership if you were in the market for a new Hyundai. This is in regards to having my vehicles serviced at your place. I have been coming here for years, I have 4 that I bring in. The last 2 times when having a repair done the service rep quoted one price for the work over the phone and then when picking up the cars they said they forgot to add the labor. This is real BS. I always bring my RAV4, Altima and Sonata in for oil changes mainly for the multi point inspections so I would know what might be needing attention. But over the last year or so you do not give me the sheet anymore. I just had my front breaks and rotors replaced because they were metal on metal, this is what I was told. So apparently the inspections were not being done if they were I would not have need the rotors. I will not be back and I will tell everyone I know not to go to your service department. Response to the manager If you were really concerned you would have called me or emailed me because you have my number and email address. I have been using your service department since 2007. It has had its up and downs. But never have I been quoted a price without the labor and you've done it 2 times in a row with different service reps and that is just BS and you know it. The only way you could make it right is to give me back the $316 that was not in the quoted price. Then I might come back but how can I trust the service department again? Matthew the service department manager ended up giving me the cost of the labor back to me. Thanks Matthew. read more

The worst place to buy a Car EVER!!! RUN AWAY!! Sold me a slightly used Tucson with only 34K Miles on it, in the year and half since I bought the car it has been to service 4 times, the first time 3 months after I bought it, the clutch went out, then 4 months later the clutch went out again, then 4 months later the Turbo went out, Now 3 months later it is back in the service department and they want over a thousand dollars to fix it. This car has less than 75,000.00 miles on it. RUN AWAY, their service department is the absolute worst, you can take the car and tell them what is wrong and they will only address that one problem, and will turn a blind eye to everything else that is wrong and wont even tell you about it. This is not made up, I have the proof to back up this claim! Oh I found out after that fact that the car had been in an accident and they never disclosed this to me. read more

My experience was so poor, this is my first time ever writing a review for a business. I called on July 19 to order a very small part with installation for my Elantra. I got the part ordered, paid, and was told I would receive a call back in a few days. After 3 weeks with no call (Issue #1), I attempted to contact the dealership. It took 7 calls over multiple days to reach somebody that could help me (Issue #2). He said that the part had arrived a couple of weeks ago. I'm not sure why I didn't get a call back (Issue #3). I scheduled the appointment and went in to get the part installed. I waited about an hour before I was informed that the part was not painted (Issue #4) even though they had at least 20 days to do so, so I would need to come back. I took time off work to get this done. I emailed the manager Matt (who frequently mentions his contact info and says to contact him here on these reviews) to try to get some sort of resolution and he told me they would credit the cost of labor and the part, but I would need to pay $80 for paint. This seemed like a satisfactory resolution so I scheduled another appointment for a few days later. When I went in to the appointment, Matt informed me that they painted the incorrect part (Issue #5). At this point, this entire thing feels like a bad joke. I told Matt that I was going to order the part and install it myself, which I just did in 4 minutes. The part cost $48 on eBay. Please do not order any parts here, please do not get any service done here. I don't know how they screwed this up every step of the way- clearly this entire process is broken. From beginning to end, getting a small door handle piece took 37 days and wasted over 3 hours of my time. This is the absolute POOREST experience I've had at any dealership or mechanic and can't recommend Horne Hyundai to anybody. This might be the poorest customer-centric process that has happened to me in my entire life. read more

NEVER BUY A CAR FROM HORNE HYUNDAI This place is a total joke!!! I have a 2018 Hyundai Sonata that has paint issues. November 2022 Horne Hyundai agreed to repaint my car due to a manufacture defect. After 6 months the paint is peeling and looks worse than it did before. I contacted Michael Freeland (Service Manager) and he asked me to bring my car in to take pictures. Three weeks went by, and I never heard back from him. I started calling every day and Michael would still not return my calls. I ended up driving up there and spoke to him in person. Same thing happened again NO RESPOSE!!! After trying several times i finally got a hold of him and he requested me to drive back and take more photos. I asked him who painted the car and what kind of warranty the paint job had. He said he would contact the shop and let me know when I get there When i got there, he saw me and ignored me and then he acted like he was busy. I stayed patiently waiting for over 45 minutes and finally a technician said they would take pictures for him. Again, no response and absolutely no communication. To this day he still hasn't contacted me. 6 months and still haven't got anywhere!!! 2nd issue After my car was painted (2022), I asked them to look into why my car stalls/hesitates when accelerating from a complete stop. They ran the codes and said it was the low-pressure fuel pump was bad and it would be Around $900 to replace it with a 1-year warranty. I told them it was a known issue and Hyundai was replacing them, but they still wouldn't do it. I replaced it myself with a 5-year warranty fuel pump from a local parts store. for half the price Then I get a noticed in the mail that there is a recall for the fuel pump. Honestly cannot say enough great things about Gerad and our experience at this dealership. My husband and i had been to multiple dealerships prior to this one and always ended up walking away frustrated. From the start, we were very upfront about what we wanted and what we could afford. Gerad was super understanding and matched our price point. We didn't have to negotiate or go back and forth like every other dealership. He went above and beyond for us and even replaced the front tires and filled up the gas tank. To clarify my explanation more about the useless warranty Karl sold us; Basically the warranty company said that it would not cover the whole "Diesel" analogy that Karl used as an example. The warranty was for things like headlight bulbs that burned out, or wipers, etc. but, it also has a $50 deductible. Basically it wouldn't really cover anything. Karl wrote me a note to say my review made no sense. The reason we found out about the warranty being useless is because we had an A/C leak that Hyundai wouldn't cover in the first year. They said a tiny rock must have hit the condenser and that it wasn't warranty work. A Hyundai warranty is like swiss cheese. Anyhow... They did refund us the $74 overcharge for licensing after a dozen phone calls and sending proof. Update - April 2019. Four years later Horne responded to my review here. Too late. read more

WARNING PLEASE AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP.............. I've never been so pissed at a place that I pulled my car and left thanks to Michel. This boy needs a lesson in talking to people. They replaced the ac compressor and window motor and then, instaledl a security update. When I picked up the car it now has an electrical issue I believe they caused. Fast forward to today when I had a new appointment to fix this new issue and this meatheat named Michael, talked to my wife like a piece of shit when she dropped off the car. Ignoring her questions and just following up with you need to find a ride home over and over again with his awesome attitude . I purchased a 2020 Ioniq Hybrid from here. My experience with Lauren, who no longer works there, was amazing! Hands down best car buying experience. The process was seamless and he even delivered it to me in west Phoenix. I didn't have to deal with the finance team or anyone else. Lauren took care of the entire process from start to finish. It's the only reason why I'm giving this place two stars vs one star. Three weeks later, I decided I wanted to trade in my second vehicle for another Ioniq because I love how economical they are. However, Lauren no longer works there and I get stuck with Jorge. At first, I go into the process thinking it'll be the same service I received a few weeks ago, if not better since I'm a returning customer. Was I wrong in assuming that. Jorge came across as a slimy and incompetent sales guy. I finally got fed up with him and reached out to his boss, Craig. However, Craig went silent and wouldn't respond to my emails either. Needless to say, I decided not to purchase from them a second time. A few days later, the general manager Steve emails me to "make sure I've been helped" and was "satisfied" with the service I received. I emailed him back regarding my frustration and disappointment. That was several days ago and yet no response. I shouldn't be surprised. After all, attitude reflects leadership. It's mind boggling how one sales rep can make all the difference. I honestly bragged about my first experience here with Lauren. Fast forward just a few weeks later, and because I wouldn't play their stupid games I was treated like scum.
