We were told we would not have to pay for excess mileage on a Horne lease if we repurchased with them. We bought a car from them. Then we got a bill for just over $3000 including over $2800 in excess mileage. We made several unsuccessful attempts via phone and email to resolve this. We would have simply purchased the lease vehicle had we not been promised no charges. Time to contact the TV stations. read more

Michael and Matt represent the bumbling, but friendly, service department. No real problems there. The actual problems arise when one makes one's way to the sales department and finds oneself amid an atrociously acted good-cop/bad-cop routine. "Go-to gal" Lorie and general manager Steve go to extreme lengths to play foils of one another. Lorie plays friendly, whereas Steve plays a character abrasive beyond belief. Lorie strives for a presentable appearance, whereas Steve revels in his role as fat slob. My advice: spare yourself this psychodrama and go to a reputable dealership. read more

i should be giving this place 1 star but because of my advisor i'll rate it at a 2. This goes way back to May when we first purchased our Kona. We had our engine replaced in May and didn't get it back till June 6th okay that's fine but it's the after fact. I noticed a noise right after we brought it home after the engine was replaced and i took it straight back and was told the alternator was bad and that was what was causing the car to squeak when it is turned on so we waited a week in a half for the alternator to come in we took it in to get it replaced i later get a call saying that the noise is still there and that they will need the car over night i said okay that's fine but if it's more than a day i'm gonna need a car to drive. I didn't get a car to drive and the vehicle was sitting there for 3 days with the technician guessing at what my car needed i get a call that they can't fix it and that they think it is the starter but aren't sure and that they recommend me picking it up i was furious. I ended up taking it straight to Larry Miller Hyundai in Peoria! PEORIA i live in East Mesa and this place is literally 10 minutes from my house while peoria is an hour drive and we live in 2022 gas isn't cheap. They got the car in and told me it was the starter and replaced it in 2 days and provided me with a vehicle to drive during the repairs. I will never be coming to this dealership due to the inconvenience it has caused me and due to the fact that they could not offer me a vehicle to drive and lied on my RO paper work saying i picked it up before they could diagnose it which is a straight up lie! The knowledge of cars at this place is a joke. I do not recommend unless you want your car to be coming back for repairs due to their negligence of cars and service. This is to Matt in response to my review. You have my number i have been to your service department 4-5 times within 2 months, if you were concerned about the way i was treated and the way my vehicle was handled you would reach out to me. read more

Went to this location for routine maintenance today, but I had received misinformation about my extended warranty from the San Tan location and ended up not needing an oil change. The Horne service representative was extremely condescending as I tried to understand the warranty confusion! Instead of being helpful and explaining the misinformation, he was clearly annoyed and made a few rude comments. His condescending tone made the experience worse. Customer service at the Horne location leaves a lot to be desired! I would think twice about purchasing a Hyundai from this location based on the poor customer service. As a customer service representative, your job is to help the customer...not humiliate them. read more

Sales department has it together, but then again what sales department doesn't?! Service is lame. Rude advisors. Starting and finishing with Michael the "acting service manager." He's acting alright. Acting a fool! Then there's Dixie, the ding bat up front who answers the phones. She's rude, interrupts, cuts you off, then when she's asked not to repeatedly asks if your finished speaking... Wow. The ridiculous attitudes of these folks is out of this world. My family has purchased multiple cars through this dealer. It's their choice to return, but my spouse and I won't ever go back for anything. I can be treated like crap anywhere. I don't need yahoo's for that nonsense!!! read more

I purchased a new 2022 Hyundai Kona in June 2021.  My car had an engine failure due to a lost drain plug.  I spoke with Matt Konececk, service manager for Horne Hyundai.  He told me that if I would have my car towed to Horne Hyundai, he would take care of it.  I paid to have my car towed to Horne Hyundai.  Horne Hyundai, an authorized Hyundai service provider has performed every service on my car.   Horne Hyundai has had my car for over three weeks.  Matt Konececk has NOT provided any reimbursement or payment for my rental car.  He has NOT provided me with a free loaner car.  He has NOT accepted responsibility for the engine replacement and/or repairs necessary to return my car back to its original condition.  Apparently the drain plug fell out just because...   My car is still under the manufacturer's "America's Best Warranty". I have also NOT received anything showing me what exactly is wrong with my car - what needs to be replaced or repaired. Unfortunately, I was not allowed to select a no star rating for this company read more

I love my new car. 2018 Sante Fe James Santiago knows everything about this car. He helped us so much. Very thoughtful and patient Beyond helpful!!!!!!! We brought in our new 2022 Hyundai Palisade for service. Our rear bumper back up sensors started to throw errors that 'back up sensors are broken or blocked' when placed in reverse. This is a brand new, 5 month old SUV. After 4 hours, we called for an update, only to be told that they can't diagnose or troubleshoot the issue. They have no idea how to proceed and need to call their 'Specialist' and send him videos for help. After the 5th hour, we get a phone call that they think our rear sensors might have been in an impact and it will cost $179 to remove the bumper and run diagnostic tests...on a brand new, bumper to bumper warrantied vehicle, with no body/paint damage anywhere. They refuse to remove the bumper and run diagnostics on a warrantied vehicle, without me agreeing to pay $179. They claim there is a very minor scratch or scuff mark in the general area of the rear bumper and that may be the cause of the "4 or more sensors across the entire rear of the vehicle failing". There are no scratches or scuff marks, just an attempt to refuse warrantied work and bully customers for another payout. read more

I traded in A at least vehicle on the 7th of October today is the seventh of November and they still have not paid the lease off like they should have. I called several times I was told it was paid on the 23rd. It was not. I finally found out that he was going to be paid overnight on November 3rd. That didn't happen. Now they tell me it's going to be paid on the seventh overnighted. However, I can't get confirmation on that. I did call Hyundai USA and after talking to them for some time I was told that I should call the branch manager call Horn Hyundai, which I did of course he was busy and I was told that he would get back to me at his convenience, evidently it hasn't been convenient for him yet because he hasn't called I've called two times and left messages for him to give me a call and at this point I've not heard anything I can understand why the reading is poor. The only person call me back is the salesman, a very nice young man to help me buy a car. I will not be using them to service my car. I do not trust them anymore nor should you. I don't know where their branch manager got his training in management but it's not working. read more

We were looking for the new 2022 Hyundai Tucson Limited and a specific ask in the Intense Blue. We found one and Chris immediately responded back and provided a photo of the car before we drove out there. He was friendly with a good sense of humor, not a pushy salesperson (much appreciated!), and patient even knowing we kept him there after their closing hours. He went above and beyond the normal experience by offering snacks to us to make sure we were taken care of. We walked away with a new car we loved and overall great experience! read more

I am not here to write about the down-the-road maintenance or the warranty on my new car. It's too soon. I am hopeful that it will be a good experience, as needed, like everything else with these guys so far. I will write about the car finding and car buying experience. It was exceptional. I was looking for a particular car that is hard to get at the moment. '22 Tucson Hybrid in the mid-level trim in one of two colors that I liked (Amazon Grey or Deep Sea). This is not an easy car to find. I contacted every dealership from Riverside in the west, Vegas in the north, and Albuquerque in the east, and it was an almost impossible car to find. What is worse was dealers telling me that they had the car that I wanted, only to have the car disappear before it got to AZ. I have to assume that the agent told me that it was mine to purchase, only to pull the rug out from under me and try to sell me something similar, but not really what I wanted. Chris D. at Horne Hyundai was terrific. He knew what I wanted and initially didn't have anything, but kept his eye out for me, and contacted me when one was in the pipeline. He worked with me on pricing and gave me a really legitimate deal on my trade-in. I might have saved a few dollars if I had waited and waited for the car that I wanted (or settled for something close), and I might have netted a few dollars if I had sold the car on my own. At the end of the day, I got the exact car that I wanted and came out spending right about what I wanted to spend after my trade-in (slightly less, actually), and I am not a pushover; I am someone who wishes that we could bargain at the supermarket like I bargain at the farmers market. And all of this happened with Chris and co. with very very very little hassle. In today's world of sticker-shock inflation, I very rarely get the thing that I want for the price that I want to pay and have it happen with little effort on my part. The biggest inconvenience with my whole situation was driving 25 miles to Apache Junction. But I was willing to get to Albuquerque for the car that I wanted, so even that is a win. Easy to deal with, helpful, honest, and fair. I give a full endorsement. read more

We moved from across the country and brought our brand new Elantra to Horne Hyundai and had them due routine maintenance and to look at our undercarriage as we noticed it was hanging low. The service specialist Tyler called and immediately we sensed his dedication to the company and not the customer. He was arroganot, cocky and worst of all, not sincere. In a nutshell he blamed us for going too fast over a speed bump which made no sense as we have no speed bumps where we live and there was no other noticeable damage, except APPARENTLY to them the frame of the car was bent ruining our cars warranty and value. Also my fiancé wanted the cheap chrome paint that was under the lights treated as we added preforassion coverage when we purchased the car. Again Mr. Tyler and his arrogance blammed us, that the damage was done from rocks coming off the highway and again wouldn't honor our warranty. Lastly we just had 2 tires blowout at same time on highway early in am on way to work and of course we had to pay out of pocket and they gave us the car back with scrapes and glue all over the rims and tires. this was after they told us to get it towed to the, and the tires should be under warranty. Apparently the car wash was down that day, like the ice cream machines at McDon! Less than a week later, brand new tire blew out again on 30mph curvy backstreet. We didn't go back to Horne but tire place we went to told us rim was bent too and suspicously. Never again Horne and Tyler, bye. Thanks for NOTHING!! read more

When I left Horne Hyundai with my new Palisade I had very good things to say about the experience. But a few days later something happened which undermined the good faith which was built that day. It was a long Saturday when we seemed to reach a deal. The staff, including the general manager, worked hard to meet my needs. After several hours, I got word that I was approved for financing at an acceptable interest rate. It took about another hour to sign contracts and get the keys. I left feeling satisfied the hard work was over and I could go home and enjoy my new wheels. Five days after my purchase, I got a voicemail from Jorge (the dealer's financing boss) saying he had good news and bad news. Immediately I was confused. What bad news could the dealer have for me? I bought the car almost a week earlier and was back home in another part of the state. I came to find out that for whatever reason, I had NOT been approved for the interest rate I was told, and Jorge needed more information to try to get me approved. I still don't know why he told me on the day of my purchase that I was approved for a certain interest rate, and why I was sent home with a signed contract saying so, when in fact I hadn't. After revisiting my personal finances and providing Jorge a few more details, he called me back and told me he was able to get me approved at a rate almost one full percentage point higher than I was told at the time of my purchase, which put my monthly payment higher than I was comfortable with. But rather than make the 3-hour drive back to the valley and take back my trade-in vehicle, I decided to swallow the higher payment. I have some positive things to report about the experience, but first I have one more gripe... Their initial offer on my trade-in was a joke. When you are trading in a 1-year old car which is nearly flawless, and your salesman says they can only send it to auction, you just have to shake your head. Fortunately, later in the process they offered a respectable amount for the trade-in. For the positive, Kahi was incredibly knowledgeable on the details of the car's features. He was patient and willing and able to answer all of my questions. Overall I am pleased with the vehicle I bought and the price. This is the nicest vehicle I have ever owned and they went below MSRP to make the deal. I still don't know how a dealer can tell a customer "Congratulations, you are approved for these terms," and send them home with a car and a signed contract, and then a week later come back and say "Hey, you actually weren't approved." I asked Jorge that question and didn't get a straight answer. I looked through the other reviews on Yelp and dealerrater.com and found that I am not the only customer Horne Hyundai has done this to. Even with all the hard work the staff did for me, and the price I got, this problem is very troubling and I would not feel comfortable going to Horne Hyundai for another purchase. read more

Too add to my review of this rip off place. I finally received a check in the mail. I have in writing from Jarvis Newman the finance manager that I would receive my full 915.00 back. Today finally after 6 months I received a check in the mail for 799.85. I am not sure how that is the full 915.00. My car has been with them for over a month! OVER A MONTH. Not once have they called me to update me. I'm the one having to call them to ask them for an update. They had first said that the parts were going to take two weeks to get there and that was after one week of them already having my car. Then every time after that, they kept telling me that "the technician is having some trouble taking out the transmission" and my service advisor keeps pushing back the dates that the car will be ready. We had to cancel our holiday plans because we don't have a family vehicle to use. Not once have they offered a rental or anything like that. I've gone to other Hyundai dealerships and they have offered rides and rental cars to use. I've never had any problems with Hyundai but this specific dealership is absolutely ridiculous. I hope the service dept is better than sales! They have owed me money on a trade for the Elantra I purchased and 3 weeks later, I still haven't received it! I finally went to the dealership this morning to ask why, and after 15 minutes or so, I was advised that a check was mailed to me 5 days ago. Still have not received it. When I purchased the Elantra, I advised them that I wanted to pick the check up at the dealership to avoid the US mail, but apparently someone didn't get that memo. I will not deal with Horne Hyundai again. I have purchased several Hyundai's over the years from other Valley dealer's and it was a very pleasant experience. Not so much with Horne! read more

I went to this dealership on a Sunday afternoon in order to buy a new Hyundai. I saw only one customer on the entire lot when I arrived. As soon as I tried to enter the building, a sales person, Chris, came out and talked to me in a very hostile way. He had an attitude like customers are his personal enemies - I was wondering how these guys can stay in business, maybe the whole thing is a tax write off ? I turned around and walked away after less than 3 minutes without even looking at one of their cars. This was by far the worst car buying experience I ever had. read more

This is the WORST BEHAVIOR. THEY EVEN SENT US PICTURES OF THE INTERIOR OF THIS CAR AT 10AM THIS MORNING! What horseshit! I knew as soon as someone came out that they had LIED to us. Haha where do I start... I've dealt with with place multiple times now and it gets worse every time. This last time we went in to trade in a truck and get a cheaper car. We made a deal on the trade and on the new car and I thought everything was good. I get a call about a week later from the finance manager saying the loan didn't go through and that I needed a co-signer now. So now I find a co signer and he goes back through he sales pitch for warranty. He quotes us a insanely better price then the first time and when we agree, he then magically says the price is wrong and quoted us something closer to 4x higher then what he said. So all that aside is resign all the paperwork on the car and here we are almost 3 weeks later and they still haven't paid off my truck. I'm still making payments on a truck I don't even have possession of. When we try to ask them what the hell is going on?, they get super rude and aggressive. Both the finance manager and GM are some of the rudest people I've met in a while. So they have the truck up for sale on their website but I'm still making payments on it? TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH HORNE HYUNDAI!! - Our friends just had the absolute worst experience with this dealership and therefore feel the need to share their story. They are suffering dearly from their latest lease with Horne Hyundai. After being swayed into another lease with Hyundai and guaranteed no excess mileage charge would be due if leasing with them again, they charged our friends $845 after all, our friends paid the bill in the end, and due to the way this was handled they are out $845 AND their credit score was severely damaged too! Today, I was interrupted in a business meeting by representative of this dealership at (480) ***-3121. His opening line, after identifying himself, was "We have to have your car back!" For the longest time, I felt very satisfied with my current Hyundai vehicle. Never thought I'd be going to get routine maintenance done and driving away in a new vehicle. But sometimes things just fall into place and good things happen. I go to Horne Hyundai for my 2014 Santa Fe. Gotta keep up service because I need this car to get to work and haul my kids around. I was sort of curious on a new 2018 Santa Fe so i just wanted to see what was out there. First off, as always, everyone there is awesome. From Michael and Gary in service, to Phil in Financing. Even the General Manager was awesome but I'm sorry...his name escapes me at the moment. The person I worked with was Lori Ceal. From the moment I walked in to the time I left, Lori was on it. She waited for me as I walked in to meet her, and gave the best hug as I left. She was very attentive to my car needs and had a no-hassle approach. The day was long due to vehicle prep and I had my son with me and you know kids. They can get antsy. But they have a kids play area and Lori even took it upon herself to by my son some lunch because we were waiting and he was getting hungry. That was amazing. No other dealership I've been to has ever done that. But at the end of the day, we worked out a deal and I drove away in a new vehicle. Best buying experience ever! If you are looking for a new car or need service on your own Hyundai, please give these folks a go. It may be not the big, flashy establishment, but they make up for it in customer service and heart. You come first. Thank you Lori and the staff at Horne Hyundai for an as always awesome experience. read more
