Horrible customer relations. I came in for a mani pedi and they didn't have an opening until 4:00 (45 minute wait). I went to Hallmark to kill a bit of time. I came back about 3:50 and picked out a color. There were 3 other walk ins waiting when I returned. A tech came and got one walk in. I spoke to her and asked if there was someone available for my 4:00 appointment. She said she had to ask someone. I waited and on the meantime 2 more people were taken. I had been going to Vicki forever. and I followed her from Pantano and BW She is the mother of the owner . I love her. I would have continued only I had a gift card and she tried to charge me more and loused up the tip and refused to make it good. I was deeply hurt.It was the principle of the whole thing. for I was a long time customer with an undestanding that they would not raise my rate but did it anyway. It is very clean and so delightful. but when I left surprisingly I found a better place with better products and where they are better in other ways too. But as far as a nice person you cannot beat Vicki.I miss her alot.But I do think they rush through things at Hapi Nails and thin out the polish that causes it to chip, .Jennys husband helps her maintain the superb cleanliness. I believe he works at Raytheon. and he is so nice.Also Vicki speaks excellent English , considering it all.She is eager to learn new words. And communicates very well. read more

I had a great experience here and will definitely go back!! My friends were getting married so 6 members of the bridal party decided to have our fingers and toes done together. We made appointments and they made sure to bring in extra staff to accommodate all of us and our varying requests. The staff was kind, sweet, and seemed genuinely excited for us. We rate it 3.5 stars overall. We visited here on 3/25/13 for massages and my wife also had a mani/pedi. All were Asian employees, which is very often a plus in our experience. The place is very clean, organized and nice. It is located on the NE corner of Grant & Swan, on the corner of the large plaza, and between Fry's (facing Swan) and Starbucks. Enter off of Swan unless you are coming from the east on Grant, in which case turn right at the last entrance 300 feet before Swan Rd, immediately after Marshall's Jewelers (after passing The Good Egg). All of them were very kind and polite. The older woman who welcomed us and who clearly acted as the manager was particularly thankful and earnest in welcoming us and asking how things were going. We give them an average of 3 STARS each for my 60 minute ($40), and my wife's 30 minute massage ($25). The internet showed $35 & $20 and I neglected to confirm the price on the phone. When we got there, the price sign and brochures had recently been annotated with $5 increases. I tried to get two 90 minute Reflexology appointments for us, but the woman said that is too long. Due to the Asian language barrier, I am not sure if that was too long for the days we were available or or what. They have 3 closed off rooms (massage/facial?), with no ceiling, facing a wall of pedicure chairs. The talking emanating from the pedicure chairs was not unduly disturbing and generally offset with the music. However one woman who began a pedicure half way through my massage had a very loud normal voice and annoyed both me and wife who was finishing her pedicure. Our room contained your typical Foot Reflexology Chair (recliner) and also a regular massage chair (kneeling). The massage began on the recliner and ended with a back massage on the kneeling chair. The Reflexologist was reasonably effective (just a tad light) in applying pressure on our heads, arms and feet, and in applying pin point pressure, but she was too light on the muscle groups. My wife was a tad cold during her short massage and her legs were not covered with a towel. The kneeling chair face rest was not adjusted for either of us so that we were kept in an awkward upright position which was uncomfortable and annoying. I asked "is this right", but I don't think she understood me. I attempted to feel for a lever to adjust it, but I could not find it and so I wasn't sure if it was adjustable. In retrospect, it was impossible that it could not be adjustable from that straight up vertical angle, and we share a little fault for not being more assertive. For $40 per hour, we would choose Massage Envy instead. In the future we would also consider trying the other Reflexology place 2 miles north which quoted me $35 for an hour. He also quoted me $25 a for half hour and $60 for 90 minutes which is generally more than we pay for it in Mesa AZ. My wife rates her Deluxe Mani/Pedi ($47) 4 STARS, which she received from a very young lady who did a very good job. No complaints and everything was fine. read more

The pedicure process was so nice and relaxing, I only give 2 starts because the actual paint job of the pedicure was worse than I could do myself. I don't know what happened but the top coat wasn't even placed on my entire toe nails, the sides of my nails are a matte-ish finish, while the middle is shiny. She also didn't cost the tip of my toenails with the polish so they have already chipped, it's only been 2 days! I understand it depends on the person who is doing it so I may try one more time here but I am very disappointed. read more

I got a pedicure which was fantastic and my shellack gel removed instead of a full manicure. I then got my eyebrows and upper lip waxed. Immediately after my eyebrow waxing my upper eyelids felt sensitive, and when she applied the cooling gel I felt a burning sensation. I told the waxer this and she attributed it to sensitive skin. I checked my eyebrows in the mirror, and didn't notice anything amiss. Once I paid and went to the car, I checked my eyebrows again. I immediately noticed my upper eyelids were red, and was very painful. My friend I had gotten my nails done with also noticed. I went back in to talk to the waxer and tell her she had ripped my skin. She began arguing with me, and said it was my skin's fault and that within the hour it would reside. I told her that is not the case, I've had my eyebrows waxed numerous times and this is not normal and is not my skin; but her. She did not agree but finally said she would refund my money. As she gave me my money back she continued to argue that it is my skin and that it would reside within the hour. There were 3 clients in the salon, and they said they had no openings until 330pm, bc they had appointments coming in. Now, I'm from CA where salons are alwaYs busy, but there is always an availability even if you have to wait 30 mins at most. I asked if they take walk-ins, and they said yes, but I'd have to wait till 330pm. So, in actuality they do not take walk-ins, bc they would've had me wait to be seen instead of telling me to come back 3 hours later. We will not be returning. I called ahead and made an appointment and said 2 spa pedicures. I arrived 5 minutes prior and waited 25 minutes after my appointment before I was seated. Walked in and had a fantastic experience from the start. There was no pressure as I inquired about pricing and it was a relaxing atmosphere. I chose my color and grabbed a menu! The water was nice and warm... Just what I needed on my swollen toes! Magazines awaited on my chair and the individual who did my pedicure hung my purse and put my drink in the holster. The massage was so relaxing that I almost fell asleep. My manicure went smooth... Vicki was very particular about my French and fixed any smudge I made in such a short time sticking my hands under the light. Super friendly, really relaxing and I will def be returning!!! Went here for a deluxe manicure and pedicure with my mom for a girls day. $47 and so worth it. I can't recall my mothers technician but Vincent worked on my legs and arms and was amazing. The deluxe package includes leg and arm massages with the choice of the many scented lotions you can choose from, I chose lavender. He really takes the time to massage each limb. A sugar scrub is also used to exfoliate the skin which left me feeling baby soft. His hands are extremely steady and he is gentle in every aspect. My holiday nails came out beautiful. I would definitely recommend him for any of your pampering needs. My mothers tech was also very excellent and she enjoyed herself. They don't shy from conversation and are very outgoing. The spa treatment is just simply relaxing. Great comfortable massaging chairs and you can even adjust the angle of your chair! Feel free to pass out, I honestly almost did! Once again I highly recommend this place, service was amazing, friendly, and informative. They have a wide selection of nail polishes! My nails look great, I am extremely satisfied. read more

Pros: Very clean, inexpensive, professional salon, overall good manicure. Con: tech overcuts cuticles. At least she doesn't cut the cuticle at the bottom of the nail, but needlessly overtrims the sides of the nail rather than just nipping the cuticle that needs nipping. read more
