Love Kolb Nails! I made pedi appt for me and my guy. Nancy and Tiffany have a gift. Nancy also took care of my mom's ingrown toenails. She did a great job and my mom was very happy as it took away her pain! Long did gel nails and I'm amazed at how beautiful and how relaxed I feel afterwards. My feet don't hurt as much thanks to the ladies and my nails have never looked better. Always a fun atmosphere, with relaxation and pampering. read more

I rarely give 5 stars. That being said, I am very satisfied with my full set of nails. I found Kolb Nails after waiting 40 min for an appt I had made elsewhere. I got tired of waiting and was heading home when I spotted Kolb. I was treated very well as a walk in and the price was just right. I got a lovely set of nails. Family owned and operated, they are excellent! Ive been coming here about 9 years. Husband, Long does nails.. the best care I've ever received. I often get compliments on my nails. And he is very quick, too. Tiffany, his wife gives the best pedicure in town...even caring for ingrown nails professionally. I went for a pedicure with my daughter they were awesome with my daughter but I was in my seat for 20 minutes and left with horrible painted nails and still have rough feet! I feel like they were just trying to get me out of there cuz I was with my daughter! horrible pedicure! read more

Update to my first excellent review. The young lady, Tiffany, who did such a great job on my first visit does not want to hear you tell her what you like, or to ask her please not to just nip your nail down in the corner, rounding it on your toes if you have ingrown toenails because that's not the way to combat them. That makes it worse. She clearly doesn't know how to take care of ingrown toenails, so she just should not try, nor should she tell you that she does. I have a feeling that her sister-in-law might be better at that. She got offended and said she thinks she knows what she's doing, and then she proceeded to do a really crappy job on my fill, acting very annoyed the whole time. She takes things personal when she shouldn't, and doesn't want to listen to you if you have specifications that you like. We are paying customers and we have every right to ask you to do something a certain way. I won't go back because I was so uncomfortable and it was a negative experience. When I went to get a fill somewhere else, after a week, because that's how bad of a job she did, the woman was really surprised at the kind of job she did, and I told her where I got it done. She just shook her head. So, don't make her mad, or she'll do a really crappy job for you. Additionally, I found Kolb Nails to be incredibly filthy dirty and I'm pretty sure they don't use proper cleaning techniques. I don't think they care enough to do that. Also, there is hardly any selection of polish. Everything is dirty and messy and I was surprised that anyone would keep their business like that. read more

She was so nice and appreciative and I didn't feel like I was being rushed to get out of the seat when getting a pedicure, like some of the local nail salons around town. I was impressed the moment I walked in to see that staff were wearing masks and that there were Plexiglas divisions between staff and customers. With Covid still all too prevalent, these safety precautions were good to see. Tiffany gave me an excellent pedicure. She took time to smooth off the rough spots on my feet, gave me an very fine massage and applied the polish very thoroughly. I will definitely return! read more

Update to my previous review: I am somewhat disappointed about how long the polish stayed on my toes. I came in around 4-5pm on a Thursday and received a pedicure and had some very pretty polish put on for my wedding. My wedding was on Saturday, and by Saturday evening the color was already chipping on my toes -- which never happens, even when I paint them myself at home. I guess the price was right. But if the polish isn't going to stay on longer than a few days, I probably could have just painted them myself at home. read more

I've been going to Kolb nails for 9 years, I get pedicures, manicures and get my eye brows waxed there. This is the best place in Tucson. I've been to other places but none compare to Kolb Nails. They are reasonably priced and do great work. I leave there happy every time. The only other place I would go to is Suite Nails. They are related. I have been going to Kolb Nails for quite a few years. Very small shop, nothing fancy, but I LOVE the service (and the employees)! Everyone is so friendly and you never feel like a stranger even if it's your first time there.The pedicures are great (love the massaging chairs). I always have the technician put a little "design" on the big toenails after I get them painted and it's always something different and it's perfect! Stopped in to get an acrylic fill (only $15!), and waited about 10 minutes while the nail tech was finishing another customer's nails. He said he was the only one available to do acrylics for a while while the other tech was on vacation. When he started my nails, it only took about 30 minutes; easily the fastest service I've ever had for acrylics. The tech was very friendly and held a conversation with me the whole time. The salon itself isn't the most appealing place. Ex: not many decorations, no music, etc but it was very nice to my wallet and I was in and out within 45 minutes. After a terrible pedi a month ago (at another salon) I was really apprehensive about trying a new place. I used to go to Kolb Nails years ago for my acrylics - they did a great job back then - so I decided to give them another try. Got a french gel mani and it is AWESOME! The only con is that it took a while - a full hour. But it was totally worth the wait! They even remembered me from back in the day :) Plus the price is right. $25, compared to $30-40 elsewhere. It's certainly not a fancy place, but a great mani at a great price. Would definitely recommend this place! read more

This place is a joke! I walked in when they opened on a Sunday at 10am. I was pretty mush ignored for about 20 minutes before I was given any attention. I simply stated that I needed to have my acrylic nails removed and wanted a simple gel manicure on my natural nail. I waited for probably an additional 5 mins and then was told to sit down and a gentleman started to removed my acrylic nails. I showed him the picture of what I wanted and he showed me their gel Polish options... Wow they have barely any colors to chose from and their facility is dirty and run down. He tried to talk me into some random color that I didn't want and all I asked for was a simple nude natural color. They didn't even have that. I told him that he could just buff out my nails and I would go somewhere else and he seemed bothered by that but I am not going to settle for something at a place that doesn't deserve my business and then I'll be unhappy with my nails. I paid the 10 bucks for nail removal and left and went down the road and got the nails that I wanted all along. This place is run down and dirty and lack of selection and customer service. I was extremely appalled by the way this salon is, I'm surprised they are still in business but I guess they have their few select return customers. Multiple people came in while I was there and they called them all by name and seemed to know them well. This place is not a good nail salon for someone who had experienced other nail salons in town. Had shellac done on my nails and it DID NOT even last a week. Worst place IN TUCSON!!!! Went back to have them fixed and they WANTED TO CHARGE me Again to re paint my nails. The owner even admitted to putting oil on my nails and said that's why they didn't last. You would think they would fix my nails seeing how she knew THEY SCREWED UP. Then to top it off she accidentally breaks a bottle of nail Polish on my Nike's. After arguing with the owners they did give cash for my shoes . Will NEVER GO BACK OR GIVE A GOOD REVIEW ON THAT PLACE. And one more thing. The pedicure SUCKED !!! No wonder why there was NOBODY THERE GETTING ANY SERVICES Done two weeks in a row on a Friday. Update to previous review......if I could give 0 stars I would. 5 days in and the gel polish on my thumb nail has peeled off. In addition, the thumb nail he filed down so short is now infected from the hang nail he created while vigorously sawing away at the side of my nail while filing. I just did not have a good experience here. I went in for acrylic was charged $25.00 not $15 like stated on another review. I asked for short they did long, I asked for pink they turned out red, I asked for shorter and he was rude. I got moved to another lady who finished the paint and sent me on my way. They were not busy at the time and he took forever to do my nails. I will never go back. read more

If I could give this place a 0 I would! First of all I went in to have my ACRYLICS taken off and instead of having me soak first this dude literally ripped them off my nail beds. He didn't buff them, didn't smith them out he simply ripped them off and then asked if I wanted to have a polish applied. I did yes after the Mani. He then proceeded to cut off all of the growth I had been working on for months!! I pulled my hand back and told him I didn't want them cut and he said he was just evening them out! Then proceeded to add polish to my uneven nail bed!!! There were so many lumps under the nail polish it wasn't even funny! Close to my home in my new neighborhood I decided to check this salon out. I arrived on a weekend afternoon about 30 minutes before closing time without an appointment and the staff was short a few technicians that day but were all very welcoming and professional, they assured me they had time to fit me in for a pedicure. They never made me feel rushed even when the last two appointments of the day arrived. The pricing was reasonable. The downfall was the quality in the pedicure I received. My feet felt great and my toes looked good but I've never had nail polish last such a short time on my toes. Usually polish will last over month in good shape for me but at two weeks out it was chipping on multiple toes and completely lifted off of my big toe. read more

When I arrived to stay in Tucson, I was sad to leave behind one of the best manicurist I had the pleasure to meet. It took some serious trial and error (lots, and lots and LOTS of errors,) to finally find myself, timidly giving my hands and nails to yet another nail tech. What I got was nothing short of brilliant. If the work was impressive, I was then blown away by the CONSISTENCY and QUALITY of the staff, time after time. I was literally, overjoyed at having found the greatest little nail salon in all of Tucson. I have also learned that I am not along in my assessment. Another remarkable fact is the clientel itself. I would say 98% of their clientel have been coming to Kolb Nails for YEARS and show no signs of slowing down! I am one of those happy long-term customers. The family business is a delight. Literally, it feels like family. So many times I run into familiar customer faces and the hour just flies by chatting, catching up with each other and ending up with a flat gorgeous manicure EVERY SINGLE TIME. I love this family and their nail salon business. I sure hope you all stay in Tucson for many more years to come! I urge you to give Kolb Nails a try. For me, they are a bit of a drive but so very worth it! Even if you're really happy with your current manicurist, come see what Kolb can do! Try out a new set with them!
