Was a walk in after getting a late cancellation from the place next door and I was desperate for getting a mani pedi that day since it was the only time I had for the week. Very happy they took walk ins, should have went to them to begin with but hadn't found them when I was first looking. Definitely will be returning as their prices are very reasonable. The place is very clean and presentable, calming environment and very kind and professional staff. Rosy did an amazing job with both my pedicure and manicure. The express pedicure came with a foot scrub, sugar scrub, lotion massage, and a gel polish. I was impressed with the outcome as I have some damaged nails and really tiny toes. I also have really rough feet, callused over from wearing my steel toe boots for work and she was able to scrub all of it off and make them feel fresh and smooth again. I've been here three times now, and they never disappoint! You can get a small discount if you make an appointment ahead of time, which I'd recommend to be sure you get a spot. Aster is an artist! She's sweet and does an awesome job Cuticle prep was fast and easy. Did not overdo the cuticle clipping at all. It has not pilled since (something my cuticles tend to do). Inconsistent pricing. I was told I had to pay extra for filing of my acrylic nails set. There is no pricing chart displayed so the prices change person to person, day to day. Pricing is almost double compared to other nail spas. I wanted natural square, shorter length. I was told if I didn't like that I had to pay extra for filing, to leave. Staff was rude, unprofessional. They want cash only. HVAC system wasn't working. Uncomfortable environment. I don't recommend Nail Zone on Speedway and Alvernon. 3955 E. I think the name is deceiving but this is one of the best spots I've been to. The work was highly meticulous and pricing was reasonable (I was traveling from out of town so take this with a grain of salt). I went in for a gel polish removal, acrylic full set, and multiple designs. My technician was great with bringing the sample image/my vision to life, and the end result was amazing. While it took long, I appreciated how gentle she was as my usual spot always seems rushed and would sometimes accidentally hurt my cuticles when buffing/filing. I would definitely return if I'm ever in the area again. I took off one star because I had to wait 30+ minutes even though I had an appointment, but the space was lovely and luckily I wasn't in a rush. read more

They did a good job at pushing back my cuticles, trimming the nails to my liking, I do no white showing, and not flooding them with polish which is challenging on my tiny toes. It lasted a good 3 weeks before needing another. Somehow one calf always gets more massaging than the other, but this happens at almost every salon I've been to. Perhaps watching the clock would help. That said, expect a good calf massage with the deluxe Pedi. read more

Nail Zone This is a relatively new owner of the nail shop. They do a nice job on pedicures which is what I've had and manicures which I observed. It's a family-run business with with the son-in-law and the daughter and mom of the family working together in the business the store was really nice, very clean and modern, the bathrooms are clean everything is clean they keep really good sanitary practices staff,were wearing masks. There are plastic liners used and replaced for each customer. The chairs are all brand new and it's easy to soak your feet in preparation for the pedicure. The prices I think are reasonable for what you get they really take care of your feet you get your nails clipped to get your nails trimmed filed and cleaned and you get some cream on your feet, hot towels on your legs and massage of your legs. The bottom of your feet and heels are scrubbed. Parking is easy I recommend an appointment because they can be busy. read more

I love this salon, and it has quickly become my go-to when I need a manicure or pedicure in Tucson. There is usually a wait, but I don't mind. They are always efficient, while also taking their time for the things that matter and I am grateful for that. The interior is well decorated and clean, and they usually have the back door propped open when weather permits for air flow. I don't do acrylic or gel, but I have seen the work they do on other customers and they are always beautiful. And I am always really impressed with how my nails turn out. I've been getting my nails done here for a while and literally the only reason I keep going is because Bob does my nails exactly how I want them. I can show him any pic and he will do it exactly how I want them. He really pays attention to detail and they're lucky to have a nail tech like him. On the other hand though I find it very frustrating with their prices. I ask how much a fill is and I just don't get a straight answer. There are no signs on prices in the salon or online it's basically whatever they feel like charging you that day. Sometimes I get a more complicated design and it'll be less than when I get an easier design. I was told a fill and design was $105 when two weeks before I got a whole new set with a more complicated design and it was $130. There is no consistency and that's annoying. The fill alone was $70 and that just seems like a bit much. I don't have a problem paying for good work like Bob does but the inconsistency of the owners is a problem. Reply to owner: never have I asked for a discount or even expected cheaper because I know Bob. Bob is definitely deserving of the money I pay for the work he does. Clearly my review went over your head because like I previously said I have no problem paying. My issue is your inconsistency in pricing. You guys act annoyed when I ask how much something will be when as a customer I have every right to know what I'm paying for and how much it will be prior to the service. Overall I'm not pleased with this establishment. I walked in on time with my mom for her birthday and was told to sign in. When I did, the guy we booked the appointment with looked annoyed when he asked repeatedly what we were there for. I told him two pedicures and a manicure. Then he sits down to do my mom's manicure and asks her if she also wanted a pedicure. Like what? I had scheduled weeks in advance and specified with who we wanted the services from and which services we wanted. Making us repeat ourselves several times makes no sense. Meanwhile I wasn't offered any water or to sit in one of the empty massage chairs while I wait for her first service to be done. There were 5 empty massage chairs. The whole time the guy doing my mom's manicure kept getting up to answer phone calls and process peoples payments, pausing her service frequently. There seemed to be no communication here and it feels like they were unprepared for our appointments. My appointment was at 11:30 and after 45 minutes I still hadn't been sat. When I was sat, I waited another 25 minutes for Sophie who I had scheduled the appointment with to begin with because she was working on someone else's nails. How is it so hard to just do what I had set the appointment for? The water for the pedicure was also cold. DO NOT COME HERE!! They don't respect your time or honor your appointments made weeks in advance. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Update: My mom and I were not done at the same time. And we were very excited to try this new place because of all the good reviews. We were very respectful and patient the whole time. Glad I discovered this place! Came in as a walk in for a gel manicure and was helped right away. The technician (whose name I forgot to ask) was so gentle and took her time which I really appreciated! Place was clean and looked great, I was expecting it to be much more expensive because of how fancy it looked. I paid $45 in total (not counting tip) $35 for a gel manicure, $10 for chrome powder on top. The only thing was the chrome didn't really show up how I was expecting. It turned out making them look just a little bit more shiny instead of the chrome effect but oh well. Overall a great experience! read more

I saw Tim who I gathered to be the owner. He did a full set of acrylic with an almond shape and gel polish. I am EXTREMELY picky about my nails. I drove over 30 mins and dealt with downtown parking at meters, just to see my old nail tech when I lived in Phoenix. After moving to Tucson I have yet to find a place that impressed me. This place checked all of my boxes. Not only did Tim do an IMPECCABLE job on my nails, but the salon was hip, beautifully decorated, and clean. They had a great shade selection and from what I could tell do amazing nail art. I also love that they didn't upcharge for every single little thing. The price was the price at the end that I was quoted in the beginning. I find that's rare. I paid 55$ before tip and it was worth every penny. Highly recommend!! read more

Came here because of the good reviews. Asked for a gel mani and signature pedicure. I paid $90 and left cash tip as requested. I got my nails done on 8/26 two days later my nail polish started lifting and then chipped. My natural nails were sanded down so thin my fingers hurt. The pedicure was nice, and relaxing, I enjoyed the scrub and hot towel with lotion but my nail polish is pretty bad, it's uneven and you can see the layers.
