However, the last pedicure I got on May 9th was so terrible it ruined my overall experience. The man who did my pedicure ripped out my hangnails, leaving a wound on the side of my toe. I had a trip the following day and they were able to service me even though it was close to closing. Great service, and quality nails. I typically get gel polish on my hands and regular on my toes. If you're wanting long acrylic nails like mine, don't bother going here. I'm sorry to say this but I paid a hefty amount of money for nails that fell off a day later, and I had to keep going into their store to have them redone. By the end of that, they still are coming off with no damage to my actual nail. There is no pain and there is no scarring. That there proves that they were not applied properly. I have experience with a different nail salon and I had longish nails but not as long as these ones and they lasted me weeks, no cracking, peeling, or anything. I'm not sure about any other services they provide because this was my first impression and will be my last. Again, I'm sorry, but acrylic nails shouldn't come off in a day. read more

My massage chair didn't work, that's fine I thought. After waiting for 20 minutes, the lady next to me made eye contact with an employee and she said "someone will be right with you". I asked "how much longer" and she replied "30 minutes". I got up and left. I'm disappointed that I waited so long to leave, but I wanted to give them grace. I went there for a pedicure and manicure gel. I never had problems with gel after a day. After a day, my toes got ruined just from my blanket. I paid $100 for their service. I called them and told me to walk in. When the person saw me that I was there because of his poor quality work- he didn't even look at me. He knew why I went there to fix my toes. The owner said for me to wait for an hour. If this happened to another salon, they'll take care of you right away and be very apologetic. Beware they are not professional and don't understand English. Very disrespectful talking Vietnamese all the time. I wish I don't give them any star. Yes, they don't sterilize their tools. Vee did an acrylic fill plus 3 replacement tips for $25. Parking is CROWDED because they are in the Fry's shopping center at Ina and Thornydale. They prefer CASH tips, but take cards for services plus Zelle and ApplePay. The atmosphere was easy-going, upbeat, friendly, with many regulars. The salon was clean, fresh, and appealing. I went today for my first time after reading glowing reviews. I made an appointment and was seated immediately. On the positive side, the salon was clean and my manicurist Demi did a great job on my dip French manicure. On the negative side, I really don't like "upsaleing" and I imagine the employees are encouraged to use the technique. It's very off putting to me. At the start, I asked if she did cuticles (so many places have stopped doing this for some reason) and she said yes. While I can polish my own nails, using cuticle scissors is best left to the professionals. After the dip process was finished, Demi applied what I thought was a cuticle softener and lotion. After rubbing in the lotion, she was finished. I asked about my cuticles and was told it would be $8 more. Why? Because the dip products are high quality and very expensive. Cuticle removal is included in the price of a basic manicure but not with the dip , which is much more expensive than even a gel manicure, because it takes more time. Makes absolutely no sense. Lastly, the salon charges 3% more for use of a credit which I understand because the credit card companies impose that fee so it's passed on to the customer. However, it should be mentioned on their website as well as the requirement for cash tips. Just beware so you're prepared. read more

I've had dip twice with 2 different technicians and both times several fingers chipped within hours. They do not know how to cure the product on your nails. They use the LED light sparingly. At first I thought maybe they had a new dip that needed less curing time but after the second waste of my money I realized they just don't get how the dipping process goes. Called in two places for a pedicure for two . Originally had it booked at a different salon I liked but my friend wanted her nails done too. When we came in and got started I said " she is getting the acrylic and I'll just get a pedicure" they shook their head like they understood. What I feel happened here was they used the language barrier as a way to back up and say no to her "it's just two pedicures" even though after her toes were done I saw her taking her nail polish off as if to prep the nails for the acrylic right? But why when I stepped away they say they can't do it? Then use the language barrier that they don't understand English anymore all of a sudden. I had accidentally sent a Zell payment to this location, and it was supposed to go to Chic nail boutique. As I haven't been a customer at KT nails in over a year and a half I contacted the owner and they told me they never received the money even though I can prove it came out of my bank account and into theirs. It's a matter of $50 and KT Nails will not give the money back. V, the owner just wanted me to leave and didn't want me in her store, and she said she looked up the information in her computer, which is a complete lie, because she didn't ask my name or any banking information. Regardless they did not plan accordingly which is really annoying. Chairs really uncomfortable - not pleasant massage at all. Dont think my guy that experienced but nice & overall did a good job with nails. Did not really scrub foot for long or with more than the white foot scrubber. Did not really get cuticles.
