Actual rating is 3.5 starts, so I'm rounding up. I've gotten multiple mani/pedis at LA Nails but never thought to write a review. I've never felt the need to make an appointment because every time I've gone, they always gotten me in as soon as they can, which is usually pretty fast. For example, this weekend I popped in on Saturday about noon and although it was busy and all the technicians were occupied, they told me to pick my colors and as soon as I did they had the water and pedicure chair ready for me. And with that, I don't mind waiting at all! I love those massage pedicure chairs, very relaxing. My pedicure was enjoyable, although the massage this time around seemed pretty weak--other times I've gone and it's been amazing! So I guess it just depends on your technician. The manicure was fine, although she really tried to get me to do a gel manicure--which I didn't want because I don't like how gel feels on my nails. As soon as I didn't want to upgrade, I got pretty rushed treatment. The manicure turned out fine, but there could have been a little more attention to my cuticles and the application of polish. The environment is clean and they have nice pedicure chairs. They make an attempt with the decor--some nice desert photos! Not a fan of the bright over head lighting, though. And the selection of magazines is pretty dismal. The polish selection actually wasn't that impressive either. I wanted a bright white color for my mani and they didn't have anything like that in regular polish (only in gel of course) so that was kind of annoying but I am happy with the color I wanna ended up getting. Overall I'm sure I'll be back because it's close, convenient, and affordable! ($34 for a mani/pedi.) read more

I asked for a certain long French tip I and showed a picture in which they said they could do it, second pic is what I got, I asked to just paint over it with red bc I wasn't leaving like that. They said it looked the same as what I wanted and the lady Diane started yelling and just being so unprofessional and went to the back was slamming things. I was literally crying because not only was I embarrassed but I didn't know what to do. She made John finish my nails, still charged me $75 and left me with bulky uneven claws. I had high hopes but I shouldve expected less, I just don't understand why even say you can do something when you know you can't. The audacity they had to even say it looks the same. read more

Came in to get dip on my nails. $40 but a very poor quality job. The older male applied the dip powder without cutting cuticles or cleaning the nails, then as soon as the powder was on he added the solution that solidifies it but didn't even them out? Felt very rushed and careless. It's hard to tell in the pictures but they look very thick and lumpy and give me a club nail appearance. He couldn't even be bothered to clean up the excess color on the skin. read more

Was recommended there from other shop that l use to live near that always did my nails and pedicure. I was humiliated in front of customers for being handicap. I use electric chair that goes up and down took my own electric spa tub and Epsom salt. Was refused service because he said l have to get on tall spa chair.l went on bus from Oracle Rd to other side of Tucson so other place on pantano . They welcomed me there did soak .cut and file. I felt so happy they made me feel welcomed. Will not recommend la nails on Oracle .felt really sad going to la nails who refused handicap people. read more

I gave this place a try and a few chances. But I always leave disappointed. They seemed to rush when they have customers waiting. Last time I was there the manicurist cut my skin, piling my nails. The edges doesn't always come out clean. I always get disappointed after my visit. I don't think I can recommend this place, I will not come back. read more

Went and had a full set done... The guy didn't listen to what I wanted, he didn't put the acrylic to my cuticles, the polish didn't even cover my nails on the sides, they're uneven .. and above all they're too thick. I asked him to take them down and of course, "oh that's your nail". Mind you, my nails are FLAT. I'm not shy to speak up, but everything was like an argument. I will never be back. Recently took myself and my Elderly mom with oncoming dementia, for a pedicure. The relaxing environment and gentle handling of my mom, was a welcome experience for both of us. The ladies were so kind with my mom, and she really enjoyed it. The leg massage really helped relieve the swelling in her feet. I will definitely be back, and highly recommend this salon. read more

Just went to get a manicure and was early for my appointment, so I sat and waited no big deal but then when my appointment time came up and saw another person go to the station for her manicure after the pedicure I said I have an appointment but was told it was going to be another 10 minutes (a manicure takes vet 1/2 an hour) so I said inexcusable, I'm not waiting and then left!!! What good is having an appointment if they can't honour it!!! Never going back, terrible customer service!!! read more

I went in this week and they put too many coats on my toenails so it never dried and got really messed up. I went in to have them repaint the toe and I could feel the 3 women in there being snarky, giggling and talking crap. I'd recommend bringing your business to people that care about customer service and are nice. This is not that. read more

Friendly. Attentive to detail. Safe. Can usually take a walk in.... And the gel toe polish lasts for 4-6 weeks.

I recently stopped here for a pedi. The deluxe is $35 and includes a very nice, extended food/lower leg massage. The spa is very clean and quiet. My nail technician was very professional and easily understood my requests. read more

Another nail salon in another strip mall... But, the nice thing about this nail salon is that there is an overwhelming sense of family and community. I have been to this nail salon on a number of different occasions over the past 3 years and every time I have had the opportunity to talk with the family and hear some amazing stories. The last time I was in I had a fantastic pedicure with the usual extra long massage (which I LOVE)! During my pedicure I had a long conversation with an older man- I believe this was 'grandpa'. He told so many fascinating stories about his life and his childhood. I am one who loves capturing experiences and appreciates community so this is definitely a great spot for me!! read more

I took a friend to LA Nails for some pre Christmas pampering. Neither of us had been before but the reviews on Yelp were positive. While my friend was getting her mani pedi done, she insisted I get a pedicure with her. Why not? Diane was the woman who took care of me. Everything about this location screams customer service. The staff are so friendly, chat with you rather than just with each other. The shop is immaculately clean. They are so attentive to details. Diane even giggled at the end asking what color I wanted my nails. The prices here are right in line with what you'd expect. As we were finishing up, the shop got busier with clearly repeat customers. The staff greeted them by name, talked to them about family, obviously remembering details. My friend loved her mani pedi and says this is now her nail spa of choice! It's easy to see why. read more

I've been getting pedicures and manicures at LA Nails for about a year. I absolutely love everything about them. Their service is outstanding - I always leave feeling pampered and pretty, and that I've gotten much more than I paid for. I love going to this place because it's close to home and the ladies are always so nice! I work with animals and I'm on my feet 12hrs of the day so any time I come with scratches or a bruise they are always careful around that area (which most places don't care if you have a cut on your arm or bruises up your leg and don't pay attention) prices are reasonable and service is great. read more

My daughter had a terrible pedicure here. They basically just put her feet in water and painted her toes (horribly) without doing anything else. When she complained to the manager about the paint job he just had the tech repaint them, still horribly. Don't waste your money here. read more

This is a cute and convenient nail salon next to your local dry cleaners and grocery. It's clean and well-maintained, with no wait time and more than decent pricing. I got a spa pedicure and they did a good job getting rid of all the dead skin and dryness. Service time was less than an hour, so I am very happy. read more

Avoid this place!! I'm not looking for much when it comes to a pedicure...a good massage, little pain, and a decent polish job. This was THE worst pedicure experience I've ever had. I asked if they had time for a pedicure, to which they said yes. I picked my color and sat in the chair (with no water in it). There were 3 others also sitting and I realized they were also waiting just to get started. Another lady came in saying that this is when they told her to come back, and they didn't even start on her until I was almost done. Horrible! Tip: Don't call ahead, don't trust them if they say they have time. She clipped my toenails halfway down my toes on the sides (which is a huge NO!) so now I will be getting 2 incredibly painful ingrown toenails. So upset! She also somehow cut me in 2 places (we're taking blood drawn) and then put some sort of fiery acid on it. The massage consisted of 75% pounding/punching from my feet to the inside and outside of my knee joints! All around the most horrible experience ever that will unfortunately haunt me until these ingrown nails are gone. read more

They were okay. The nails weren't horrible but not really what we asked for. When asking to make the nails a certain way the lady complained and said she only wanted to do the ring finger. They also told us on phone that the cost would be $30 but the cost ended up being way higher. But they were nice. On some of the nails the acrylic is uneven and bumpy. In the picture, on the right hand side are the nails that the nail tech gave me. They are not the best, they look chunky, too long, and uneven. The left hand side are the nails after I fixed them. I had to cut and shape them. I think that you shouldn't have to fix the nails that you paid $45 for. The fact that a certified nail tech made nails that look like those is not good. I had to spend around 30 minutes per hand to fix them. Keep in mind that was the same amount of time it took for the nail tech to do the nails originally. I personally think I should have gotten the price lower since the nail quality is lower. Expect to pay a higher amount for mediocre nails. read more

I've been getting a pedicure every month here for the last 5 years. The service is consistently good and friendly. Nice long massage every time. The salon is always clean and the instruments seem to be sanitized the way they should be (a pet peeve of mine). I never requested anyone because it didn't seem to matter who did my service. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Wouldn't even give 1 star. When most of our group was out the door another customer said, "thank god they're leaving, I thought they would never leave." And the woman in blue flower at the first station on the left agreed with her and saying, "I know" among other things. My mother in law took her 3 granddaughters(all over 6)and 2 nephews(over 4) here with 2 other adults to help supervise the kids. They were not running around around breaking things, screaming, etc. yes kids can get loud when they laugh and such. they were watching each other and talking and laughing getting pedicures.
