Just had a pedicure here for the first time and it was great. I walked in without an appointment and was asked if I could wait maybe 10 minutes. Usually that means at least 20 but they had me seated in less than that! I appreciated the time to just soak before she started. It wasn't one of those 'pick your level' pedicures; it was thorough and very enjoyable. The massage was longer than usual and her polish job was great. The whole thing was $35 which I also thought was great. I will be back for sure. read more

Not acceptable work. This was the job after the man repainted my nails for the 3rd time. I was ready to remove it and just paint my nails at home. When I asked for nail polish remover she redid them. It just should have never come to this. read more

I have seen some bad reviews on other sites but I LOVE this salon! The only improvement is the could use a larger polish selection but other than that it is perfect! I went in because it was convienient and now I won't go anywhere else! Mimi is so patient and sweet and always works very hard to make sure my design matches the pictures I show her. I got my nails done here today for the first time. I was a walk in, was greeted right away and only waited a few minutes to be seated. Mimi did a great job with my nails. I really like how they turned out, she listened to my request and the shape of my nails ended really nice. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I have yet to encounter a very clean and neat nail salon. I have a keen eye for cleanliness and neatness and there is always something that sticks out to me, but maybe it's just me... and this is my review. In comparison to the overall neatness and cleanliness to other salons I have been too, it is very similar in that regard, but my nails turned out great, if that's what matters. read more

Visiting my Aunt from Dallas. We stopped by on a Thursday to schedule appts for Friday at 11am. I asked if they offer Dip manicures and was told yes. But they only offer a few select colors. The next day we arrived at 10:47am. Our services did not start until 11:20. There was a disgruntled 'regular customer' who walked in after us and demanded to be serviced before us. I do appreciate that the owner asked if we were okay with waiting for the other customer to be serviced. However, I did not appreciate the owner suggesting that I fill my previous dip manicure with dip powder. Manicure dip sets must be soaked off each visit. You cannot fill a dip set. I was told that the soak off would take a while and then asked if I could get a gel manicure instead. All in all we spent roughly 3 hours in the salon. Where as J'adore Nail Spa in Dallas would have me in and out in an hour and a half for both dip and a deluxe pedicure. The pedicure that I received at L'amour was mediocre. The lotion wasn't moisturizing. There wasn't much of a massage and my toe nail shape isn't a true square shape. There were only two people working. The salon is dated. They don't offer drinks when you first walk in, there are no TVs. And the music comes from a very old dusty boom box radio in the back of the salon. It seems to be a great place for older people. They seemed to have enjoyed themselves. And I'm sure this place was a hit in the 90's or early 00's. But they have not kept up with the times. I prefer to get in and out. And I also prefer a more modern upscale salon. Upon arriving at home, I noticed my heels weren't even completely scrubbed. I absolutely will not return to this salon on my next visit. Best pedicure and gel nail manicure I have ever had. Their vibrating chairs are the best! They soak off the old gel which I appreciate. Tuh took care and did a professional job. I've been going to Lamour Nails for over 10 yrs. They did my nails for my wedding and I've enjoyed going there ever since. Mimi works wonders, especially since I have a bad habit of biting my nails down to the quick. She does a great job with the acrylics, and they stay on longer than other places I've been to. HORRIBLE! I was on my way and they told my friend in 10 minutes we can do you both when I get there they do us one of a time (NOT what we wanted) then the next day my nails have chipped off. after they Re-did them due to the chips the NEXT day; 3 days later three of my nails have no polish on them. I will never ever go here again. They give attitude when you ask for more than one coat which they should be doing anayways with out you having to ask and then when they do it chips off anyways. Poor work. Poor customer service. read more

If I could I would give zero stars. My nails looked terrible and it only took an hour for them to break off. When I went to complain I got the worst customer Service. I requested a refund and she then popped ALL my nails off. It was super painful and she had no remorse or sympathy about my pain or experience. Would never go again. read more

I read the previous review here and disagreed with it so much that I had to post. I have moved around the country quite a bit and will say that this is the best nail salon I have ever been to. The ladies and gentlemen that work here are both curteous and extremely competent. The pedicure that I've always gotten was wonderful. Not only do they give you a beautiful set of nails they massage your legs forever and it is for the same price as a traditional pedicure at other salons. I have bought many a gift certificate for friends due to the quality of this salon and have never heard a bad word from anyone. Most of them go on to refer it as well. I don't know who the previous person got but maybe it was someone they hired and let go as there is no one there at this time that does poor work. I finally decided to give this place a try after working next door for over a year. Several of my coworkers frequent the place and are happy with the service. I desperately needed a mani/pedi one day and didn't have time to see if only of my usual salons had time to see me. I walked in and a Lily was available. She did a great job, trimming my ingrown toenails and gave a great leg massage. I was also pleased with my 'natural' manicure (clear polish only). The polish lasted a good 10 days, which is about a week longer than I can ever get it to stay around. I've since returned a second time and got a cute gel manicure, this time with color and once again, I'm happy with the results. I'm happy with the service, My two complaints are that I wish the shop was neater. It's not dirty, it just needs to be straightened up and organized. I also wish the had a larger selection of polish colors. read more
