Very nice people but TERRIBLE results. After close to two hours for dip polish, I walk out of there with dull, bumpy polish. Bee did my pedicure, and it was lovely. She took her time, was very conscientious about cleaning my feet, and even went back over her work before applying polish to be sure my toe nails were properly prepped. My toes and feet look great! It makes a huge difference to me to have my feel groomed. In addition, Bee gives a great massage to feet and calves, so when I popped on the back massager, and she was doing her magic, it was like a spa day! While getting a pedicure the technician cut the side of my toe with the metal "grater". The cut was small but deep. She tried to stop the bleeding by pouring a green liquid on the cut which burned! She kept applying pressure and then rubbing the cut. But that didn't stop the bleeding. Eventually, the tech put a bandaid over the cut and continued with the pedicure. She did a nice job painting my nails (however there are a few air bubbles in the polish). When it was time to pay she wanted to charge me full price for the pedicure. I asked if she would give me a discount for cutting me and she said " I'm not gonna take your money" and turned her back to me and walked away. She was not willing to talk with me about it and never apologized for cutting me. So, I left. I realize the cut was an accident and it's unfortunate that she never apologized or offered any kind of compensation for her error. She was very unproffesional. First time here and was not disappointed. They were pretty for Sunday afternoon-make sure to schedule an appointment. Not sure about the other bad reviews but I think communication is key to getting what the customers wants. They seem pretty accommodating. Staff was friendly and appreciated patience while taking care of all their customers (appts/walk-ins). Anyway my teenager daughter and I went to get mani/pedi and was great- I ended up opting for gel manicure and sure glad I did. Traci did an excellent job! Not really worth the price. I get acrylics because gel only lasts me about 5-7 days. You can show them a picture of what you want your nails to look like but they'll be done however they feel like anyway! Then sometimes they'll try saying its an additional $5 for "shaping" the nail (what would it look like not shaped) but then at the counter she'll say "for YOU, $25!" All I wanted was a not too square nail that was filed down on the sides and got a LITTLE bit narrower. She literally chopped diagonals on the sides of the nails while also cutting my actual finger in the process. Don't do gel on the acrylics thats $40 that they keep trying to insist lasts longer but the only perk is it dries faster and looks nicer but I already hated the shape so why bother. I've gotten a gel painted acrylic in Hermosillo, Mexico before for about $15. The differences were also that in Mexico she followed my picture and took her time to perfect them, also my nails weren't throbbing and sore afterwards. They are so rough with you here and they pull and slap your hands. I had to tell the lady there was a hair from the towel in my nail because she wouldn't notice it and then she lifted up my other hand away from her towel as if it was my fault. Also I didn't want to dry them in the fan because it rippled the paint and sometimes causes air bubbles so she sent me to a different fan and said it was fine... They barely use any product, she put two thin coats right after each other so basically one coat because it wasn't even dry yet. See pic for transparency. Overall I would not go back for a full set. The worst pedicure I have ever had! Great toe cut rounded and so short I now have to wear a bandaid with antibiotic on it so I can wear shoes...it is quite painful. The rest or the toenails were cut as short as possible despite instruction to only cut half length. I was treated like complete crap here!! I had an appointment and it seems they stuck me with someone who doesn't know what their doing or doesn't care about customer service. The lady that was doing my fill kept arguing and yelling at me for the color I wanted. When she said she couldn't do the color I wanted I said "I'll need time to pick a new gel color then" then she started yelling at me stating "I need to hurry because she hasn't eaten yet and there is people in line behind me." And there was no one there. The entire time she was doing my nails she kept berating me. Telling me how I need to know what color I want to do next time and how I took too much time choosing a gel color. All while she was telling me she was starving. Then comes out all my nails are completely crooked and uneven. My right hand nails are about half an inch longer than my left hand. Sooo disappointed. This was my first time ever to this place and I had an appointment and was treated horrible. My advice. Don't waste your time and money on this place. AND she left soooo much space in my nails. It looks like I need a fill and I have only had my nails done for 2 days. When I went to pay which I feel like I shouldn't have I asked "how much?" And she said with a bunch of negative attitude "oh for you! For you, 35!" And I still tipped. For HORRIBLE treatment. I've been going to Maize for gel pedicures for 1 1/2yrs and have been happy. I did notice that there was quite a large turnover of employees however. On my last visit the girl was on her phone the entire time. She did not remove the gel undercoat on my large toe, simply added on more. I now have a concrete blob on my toe, and what I did manage to remove looks damaged. I won't be going back. read more

Horrible service, I came in for a quick last minute visit and needed nails for a wedding, the lady was rude, and did the worst nail job I've ever received there is glue stuck on all my fingers, I asked her if she could help take it off being that there is so much, she said it will come off just relax, first off there shouldn't even be glue all on my hands the way that there is, this has been the worst experience at a nail salon and they are very unprofessional , when I told her I didn't want gel she had the worst attitude about it. I WILL NOT be back, and I would advise that you shouldn't either, I'm extremely disappointed. I was fooled by the sign out front of a $25 full set. Needing my nails touched up before returning to Texas, I tried out Maize. The staff was friendly, and the salon fresh and clean. Nails were done in a glassed off room, thereby saving the rest of the salon from the acrylic smell. The final product was average. I was told that I was getting a pink and white fill for $25, but no white was filled and I was still charged the $25. It was difficult to understand the women who helped me, but I did my best and just went with it this time. I had to do a little touch up filing on my own, to even out the shape of my nails. A big surprise to me was that they used clear polish to shine the nail, unlike my normal location in Austin where she uses buffer cream. The cream really gives the nails a better, long lasting shine. While the people there were very nice, I probably wouldn't go back if I'm here again, just because of my personal preferences. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! My mom, sister, and I went here 12 days ago to get our nails done for my high school graduation. My sister and I got mani pedis and my mom just got a pedicure. First off, the service was pretty bad. The woman who did my pedicure didn't even take 10 minutes to file, exfoliate, and massage my feet before painting my nails (it was NOT worth the money). Then, another woman told me she was going to do my manicure while my pedicure was being done. I would have liked to have them done separately to feel like we got our money's worth, but I just said that was fine. The worst part is that they used gel nail polish on my sister on both her manicure and pedicure and on my pedicure when we DID NOT ask for gel. So of course our bill was way higher. We only figured out that it was gel when my sister couldn't get it off with nail polish remover, and since we both got the same color, they gave both of us gel without asking us first. For my manicure, I showed a picture of a French tip set, and the lady did the tip first, and then the rest of the nail bed after. I definitely don't think she knew what she was doing because I've never seen someone do French tips like that. Also, my manicure started peeling TWO days after I got it. My mom paid over 100 dollars and she didn't even get a manicure. Clearly it was a rip off. Obviously, I will NEVER go back here again! Brought my mom and sister here while they were visiting for manicures and eyebrow maintenance for my sister and I. I have found a benchmark for eyebrow waxing/threading services that I rely on: do they trim? I do not have thick eyebrows naturally. Alas. My arches are decent and I can do fine with tweezers until I get lazy except for trimming. Mostly because I'm scared. When you find a good place, they will ask you how you do or like your shape and they trim. Somehow it makes eyebrows look thicker and more tame. Nails work very much the same way - I want to be asked how I like them. Cheerful conversation is a bonus. A good selection of colors outside of the red and pink spectrum is good, too. It's nice when both of those things happen. My manicure, not gel or shellac, lasted a week without being noticeably chipped. I'll be back when I feel the need for an indulgence. read more

I was gifted this experience on two different occasions by people who knew I would love it and I did, I really enjoyed the time I spent here it was relaxing and friendly. Amy hand painted these little flowers with great detail, it was nicely done so as to not make me look like I was trying to be 13! Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and appeared to be repeat customers; I felt reassured by this. There is a theme to my reviews if you haven't noticed cleanliness is noted by me and appreciated by me in a way that makes me honor that business! The foot soak baths, chairs, tools and staff all screamed clean...as far as I can tell this is a well kept place. I also had my eyebrows done and they did a great job on this for me. I said to the two women working with me " what a beautiful language you are speaking, what is it" ? With a surprised look she replied with "Vietnamese" ; so many customers complained to our boss that we don't talk in English" I then replied with a smile that is because Americans always think you are talking about them...whatever! I had a pedicure yesterday. I was very impressed with how clean the place was. The staff was very friendly too, and decent prices.

I went to get my eyebrows waxed I had never been here before so I thought I would try it. I just walked in from off the street and they took me I had to wait about 5 minutes that's all . So I go in this room it didnt look very clean and I lay on this table which looked really old and the cushion on the bed looked all tore up ( which I can't Believe) I had never been to a run done place like this before, and the lady proceeds to dip the stick into the wax to put on my eyebrows when she takes the stick out of the wax she then starts blowing on it , maybe to cool the wax ? Anyways her bad breath and for hygiene reasons you should not be blowing on anything that's going on my face or on my body !! That is so unsanitary and for that reason I will not be back nor will I recommend this place to anyone !! It's really to bad you blew on my wax stick !! I went here to get my nails done for my engagement photos. I went one night after work so I was already tired. I left and once I got home and was in light and could actually see my nails they were awful! My dog could of done a better job ! I asked for long super square. I left with short and each nail was a different length. On my right hand they were all square and flared out at the end (which is not a look I like) on my left hand they were all square round. Also my right hand my nails went from normal to an indent in the middle to normal. I guess the lady doing my nails couldn't multitask like she thought she could.
