I hate to say this, but I have had several fine visits at rt. However, I made reservations for pedicures for myself and a friend and the service was not good. They were busy with what I assume were walk ins and appointments. My friend waited 15 for a technician. The tech who did my pedi rushed through it massaging both legs at the same time and did not bother with filing the calluses. She, then did not paint the tips of my nails until I asked. The pedicure was OK with a little extra polish on my skin. Cuticle cutting was fine. My friend's nails were smudged twice as they hurried her to get her shoes on. Looking for a new salon. read more

I'm always in and out quickly here, whether I make an appointment or do a walk-in. This time I did a gel mani (lavender nails) for vacation and they are still going strong a week later. i haven't been to RT Nails since March 2025, when i wrote my last review. once again, they didn't disappoint me at all. if i could give more than 5 stars i would. everyone is always nice and friendly. my friend Pat, of 45 years, gifted me a manicure & pedicure for my birthday. we went on 12/12/25 & my nails look beautiful. KUDOS to Jennie (my pedi), Linda (my friend's pedi), Elly (my mani), & Jollie (who took my reservation over the phone & also greets you with a smile when you first walk in). Jennie & i had a great conversation while she did my pedicure. we had the ???????? type pedi & it felt GREAT!! especially the warm cloth on both legs & feet. Elly did a wonderful job on my nails & i can't keep from admiring how nice they look. the place was clean & organized. they were very busy & i can understand why. they are a hidden gem in the corner of the Safeway plaza on Tanque Verde & Sabino. i highly recommend this place. give them a try. you WON'T be disappointed at all. you'll make them your nail place for sure. also, you are supporting a local small business. once again, KUDOS to RT Nails & their staff. i will return. :) read more

At most other places, I have received pushback when I don't want the gel drilled off my toes and the techs here happily obliged. I went to this place because I thought it would be different but, it wasn't. I got the do nails. The woman who did my nails didn't clean up the sides of my nails to make sure the edges looked good. She just pushed my cuticles back and then did dip. They lasted one week. She didn't even Shape them good at all. I think I'm done with nail salons in Tucson. read more

This salon is just okay. It's convenient for me, but service is spotty (depends on the tech) and prices are a bit of a mystery until it's time to pay. An online reservation system would be helpful (now one has to call) and more transparency about pricing per service would be an upgrade. Must use cash or Venmo to tip. read more

The team here is so sweet, and was so accommodating when I walked in without an appointment. I really really want to love this place, but half of my nails (gel mani) chipped in the first week. I think the tech misunderstood the shape I wanted (totally on me for not being clear enough) so I ended up with something I didn't love, but the edges were also a little rough. I got my dip powder mani by Rosie, and a normal French pedicure. Good service, I didn't wait long for my appointment, and it was nice chatting with Rosie and the receptionist. I was going to get a neutral light pink and Rosie gave me some recommendations for good colors for my skin tone. I ended up seeing her translucent white sparkly nails and wanting the same. Super pretty! I'm really picky about getting my nail shape right because natural differences in my nails, and Rosie was really patient with me and knowledgeable about dip powder. I have been coming here since they've opened. I've always had a pleasant experience and I've had work done from Rosie, Linda, Patty, Daisy...the list goes on. Even when I forget to schedule and do a walk-in, they are very accommodating and squeeze me in. I usually get dip or gel and the end result is always meticulous work. Times are rough with the pandemic and inflation of supplies, so I get the price increase. No complaints, I recommend this place to all my friends and they have also become regulars. It's pretty cut and dry, they set realistic expectations if you want intricate designs and pricing up front. So you shouldn't be shocked at pricing. Bottom line: Overall, I love it. Super confused of the negative reviews as they're extremely accommodating if you're dissatisfied about something and work it to meet a middle ground to where you're satisfied. read more

I've gone to this salon multiple times and they were always good. Until the last 2 times. I needed a full set (my request picture below compared to what I got) The lady doing my nails didn't listen to a single request of mine. Most nails filed crooked, tips were filed at an angle and they were super bumpy. The customer service from the lady upfront was AMAZING when I had told her what was going on. Long story short I still paid and the owner called me a few days later and schedule to redo them. I showed her the picture compared to my nails and she understood where I was coming from. But instead of doing what I had wanted, they were double the length requested and still the wrong shape. After my nails were done I received a color change on my toes, not a full a pedicure, just paint my toes. They charged me almost $30 just for that!!!!!! I could've gotten a full pedicure somewhere else for that!!!!! 10/10 do not recommend. read more

I cannot be more upset! I walked in to get a fill and a pedicure. Although they accommodated for a fill, I wish they hadn't! Immediately after the tech started her work I noticed she was fast and careless, too busy chatting and in everyone's business except her own! She had initially told me there was no room for a pedicure, but shortly after she offered and asked if I still wanted one, because there was time available. I accepted. She messed up on the first nail, she filed to the stub and turned it around and blamed me. She claimed I asked her to, I asked for short and natural, but not to the rim of my fingers. In an exasperated state she raised her voice, enough for everyone to notice, she offered to fix it by removing it, however claiming it would be uneven because I had white tips or she would have to remove all of them and charge me full price for a new set, adding that she didn't have time. (Was I suppose to leave or stay, I was very confused and upset by now). She adds that there is no time for a pedicure anymore, so I bluntly asked if she was asking me to leave and she said, "no". I reminded her, she offered me the spot, that she now was denying. I wanted the earth to swallow me, I was so humiliated and embarrassed that all I wanted was to leave. I asked she just finish the job as is, so I could get out of there. The place was full and I wanted to fade the entire time it took her, the work was ugly, probably the worst I've ever had, but worst is the lack of responsibility over a simple mistake that could have been handled with respect. read more

I usually love coming here and getting dip for my nails. They usually do a great job with the color as well as shaping my nail too. However, my most recent visit was absolutely terrible. I reserved a time for a Sunday afternoon and Tom (who I've never had before) was my nail technician. The whole process of dip seemed very rushed and he even messed up on one of my nails! Although he didn't say anything about it, I could tell there was something wrong and he kept looking back at the nail but didn't even do anything to fix it. He just kept layering on more powder to the point where all my nails are extremely thick. I've been to RT many times before and never had such thick and crooked nails. One of his regulars came in while he was doing my nails and he began to rush things even more in order to serve her. read more

She didn't understand anything I said. I even flagged down someone else to see if they could translate for me.
