I went to Waxwerks today, June 12 Friday 245 wax eyebrow wax appointment angel did a marvelous job on my beautiful Eyebrows. I've gone to Tesla who is also amazing at Eyebrows magic. I enjoy the girls it's always a good time at their shop. They even have a candy bowl and they helped me to be even more beautiful than I am on the outside. We always have a good laugh. I highly recommend Waxwerks that is all carry on. Ive been going for years read more

I go to Wax Weeks in Tucson regularly and the service is consistently great. They use hard wax that doesn't stick to the skin so the hair removal feels clean and effective without the pain of other methods The waxers are friendly, fast, and professional every time. Parking is easy and convenient. The interior is a bit dated and could use a refresh, but the quality of the service keeps me coming back. read more

Tesla is great! Very professional and considerate. I was in and out in 15 minutes and her work was excellent. Great results!

I am not a client, nor will I ever be one with what happened with this business. Before I go into particulars about what happened, I want to make it very clear that I emailed the owner over two weeks ago to let her know what happened, but never received a response back. My husband and I ordered breakfast from Borderland Brewing a few Saturday mornings ago which is a couple businesses down from Wax Werks. We were about to eat on the patio, but then got a nasty, overwhelming smell of Marijuana coming from near the patio. It almost made me sick, so we decided to take our food and leave. When getting in our car, we saw a woman standing in the small alley way between both buildings smoking pot. The smell was god awful. As we were pulling out, we noticed she walked into the Wax Werks building and both of us were pretty sure she was an employee, or if not, the owner herself. I personally think this sets a very bad example for a business, and I think this person had a lot of nerve doing this so freely in public, out in front of the business. Not only can this put a company at risk if this employee gets hurt on the job while under the influence, but I think it can be very dangerous for customers getting waxxing done with this person being under the influence. I just wanted to pass my feedback along since the owner chose to never respond back to me. Enter at your own risk! read more

I have been going here for the past year and Angel has been amazing! Lowest prices in Tucson for the most thorough wax I've ever received. She is so friendly and always makes me feel very comfortable and welcome. Very professional, and I don't see myself going anywhere else! read more

I am giving four stars because my service itself and the aesthetician, Angel, were great. I had sugaring done for the first time on multiple areas. Angel explained things to me and was very kind about my nervousness. The salon is also very cute inside. I am taking off one star for the initial communication. I asked for a phone call twice and only received text messages before my appointment from whomever does the communication from the online requests. Then when I got to the appointment, the aesthetician I got booked with didn't provide the service I asked for and was only informed of half the areas I needed done. She was very sweet and was able to book me with someone else for another time but still initially frustrating, especially since I don't live near by. read more

just got home from my first visit where I'd booked lower legs. once I met Tesla, I said could you add bikini and pits, and she's so efficient she did just that. She was amazing in every way, just a gem. Thorough, kind, just lovely, I am so grateful for this lovely place, beautiful atmosphere, decor-I knew when I walked in I'd found my spot for waxing. look no further if you're in need of waxing, and the ease of the scheduling-you can text and get a prompt reply. loved everything about my appointment and will be a regular. Thank you Tesla! read more

Just had an excellent bikini wax experience with Tessa. I would highly recommend Wax Werks! The aesthetician is very sweet and easy to talk with. They use hard wax rather than strips here. Unlike at the big name corporate wax centers, she took her time to make sure I was at ease with the temperate of the wax and prepared for the speed of the pulls. The ceiling has a Where's Waldo poster to help remove your focus and they openly encourage you to use your phone to distract from the pain. Pricing is reasonable at $50 ($45 if you return in four weeks). The facility is really cute and clean. They also gave me a free exfoliating glove! read more

I just got home from my Brazilian and overall I would say 3/5 stars from me. The woman who did my service was very kind, patient and took her time. The only thing that was disappointing was him the amount of wax left on me after my appointment. As soon as I got home, I couldn't pull my underwear down because the wax stuck to me. It hurt so bad and their was tiny wax clumps everywhere. This is disappointing as I don't expect to go home with any wax still on me. I wish she had cleaned the area better and removed more of the wax.. I've have a Brazilian elsewhere and obviously didn't leave with wax stuck to my skin. $50 is a great price but not too happy about the little painful wax still stuck to my skin as I type this read more

I've been looking for a waxing salon in Tucson (besides EWC) and I'm so happy I found this place. Lily was my waxer and she was so friendly! I was nervous because it had been months but she did the most thorough job I have received in a Brazilian in years. She went above and beyond. & if that wasn't enough, she was so kind and we actually had a conversation which distracted me from the waxing myself. I loved her and my results! I will be back read more

This really is THE place in Tucson for a quality, lasting, professional wax. That's all they do here so they're very good at it. I can text Martha on Friday to book a Saturday appointment and I get a prompt response and the appointment. Hannah is absolutely fantastic (how does she remember the silly story I told her about my job last time I was here?). Very gentle and empathetic. Will never go anywhere else!!! read more

Such a cute place. Saw Tesla for my Brazilian. She is amazing! Tesla is very personable and kind. My service was virtually pain free. Tesla took her time to make sure I was comfortable and completely hair free. If you're looking for a great esthetician, definitely make an appointment with Tesla! read more

My go to place to get my eyebrows waxed! They do such a nice job of shaping my eyebrows and the wax they use is gentle. I have very sensitive skin so before I would always break but I haven't broken out with the wax they use so far. read more

I just came back from my appointment at Wax Wekrs and can't say enough good things about it. I started by using the online appointment system (nice for those of us who are a bit phone phobic) and received a response back about a slot that was open the next day. The building was easy to find and is located in a cute shopping center with ample parking. The interior is clean and very cute. Martha is nice, fun to talk to and is great at what she does. I got the Full Kitty (Brazilian) and this was the first time after receiving this procedure that I didn't feel like I needed to have a glass of wine and a lay down. It was as painless as having the hairs on your delicate parts ripped out by the roots can be. Martha also gave me some tips for dealing with ingrown hairs and provided me with a product sample to see if it would help. There was no pressure to buy products that I didn't need/want. Currently she is running a fantastic deal for first time clients but even for your second time and beyond the prices are SUPER affordable for such fantastic care. I will definitely be returning and will recommend wax werks for all of my friends. The only thing that could have made my experience any better at all would be an online availability calendar to make appointment requests easier. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing. read more

Great spot all around! So nice and easy! I was in and out in 15 minutes! I had been dreading going to get a Brazilian since it's been over 2 years. But this place was amazing! They were able to get me an appointment super easily that worked with my schedule. Quick, convenient, and good conversation. Will definitely be back! read more

Worst experience ever!!! It's so unsanitary to have a dog in your salon and I'm sure it's breaking quite a few health codes. I was in excruciating pain for my entire Brazilian service (which has hurt significantly less elsewhere) and she even told me and my friend we were her worst clients ever. read more

I love this place! The owner is very nice, and will work with you on scheduling; she is flexible. Martha's shop is very cozy as the other reviewers say. She makes you feel very comfortable too. I like the little bowl of candy too :) read more

As read in my previous review, my first experience here was awful. However, I have recently started coming here again because I now live even closer to this place than before, and having my wax place be walking distance from me was too tempting. I have come to the conclusion that my one bad experience was probably a fluke. I have been coming to these girls consistently for the past couple of months and I love it. I have tried several employees and they all do a great job every single time. Plus, the place is super cute and there are candy bowls with chocolate in each room. What else could I ask for? read more

Let's face it: a Brazilian is not meant to be as relaxing or enjoyable an experience as having a cocktail or taking a stroll through Paris and yet somehow the wonderful ladies of this establishment managed to make it surprisingly pleasant! It takes a special kind of person to put you at ease when your nether regions are unceremoniously exposed, lemme tell ya. Empathetic, sweet and completely calm, both Martha and Hannah were wonderful to deal with. Instead of dreading my next appointment, I'm actually looking forward to it! read more

New kid to Tucson who takes eyebrows seriously Can make or break your face! Anyway, felt mine were done right by Wax Werks and will be back in. Kudos for not suggesting my "mustache" need waxing as another shop did. I have no such mustache! *shakes fist* :) read more

I have just recently started frequenting this salon and I love it! It is small but doesn't feel cramped, it is cozy and comfortable. You can schedule your appointment online and get a quick response via text. I have only gone to see Martha and she is very welcoming, puts you at ease and is quick to go about her business and get you out the door as painless as possible. Prices are very reasonable and I am so glad I tried this place out! read more

I love Martha! I came here for a bikini and eyebrow wax. Once you walk into her salon, you immediately feel welcomed. The decor is super cute and cozy. She chatted me up before the appointment and made me feel at ease. The room where she performs the wax has a french-inspired theme with comfy blankets over the waxing table. I was talking non-stop with her about San Francisco, Tucson, work and life in general. She is very meticulous when it comes to tweezing eyebrows - love it! She also gives great information afterwards about taking care of your waxed areas. Thank you Martha. I looked great in my bikini because of you! I will be coming back soon. read more

Very happy with my first experience here. The shop is comfortable and conveniently located for me. I'd been going to one of the big local salon/spas and those places always feel so huge and overwhelming with crazy activity going on between the hair and nails and whatnot. I like the small, intimate feel here. The appointment was easy to make - filled out a form online, got an email back, texted her to confirm. I always prefer email or text over phone calls. I filled out the form on Sunday night, got a response on Monday, and was in the shop early Tuesday. Glad to be fit into the schedule that quickly. Waxing was quick and about as painless as that service can be. Martha was friendly and the room was comfortable. All in all, I'm quite pleased. I'd be happy to go back again, and skip the big salon. read more

Three words Fa-Bu-Lous!!! Before Wax Werks I'd either postpone waxing until I drove home to San Diego.. do the job myself (OUCH!!) Martha is a warm professional who's demeanor makes the customer feel welcome from the very beginning, and Kelly's skill is amazingly beyond reproach! Talk about attention to detail!! Nothing gets past Ms. K! Oh!! Post Full Kitty I received a follow-up text message. How many other shops do that??? The shop is adorably inviting, easy to locate, and insanely Provencal chic!! If you pass on Wax Werks in favour of other sterile, cookie-cutter chain shops...you'd be missing out on two of the most FABULOUS waxing Maestras in the business!!! Wax Werks is a definite must! read more

Waxing is torture. With Martha's confidence I endured, overcame, and was quite pleased with the results. I've been back several times and, as she promised, it's less painful each time. This place feels like you would want it to. I'm glad my waxing virginity was lost here! read more

I've been here twice now both for a bikini wax. The first time was excellent, especially because it was my first time being waxed. I can't remember who I saw but she was very good and made me feel comfortable. However, my second experience wasn't as great. I asked for a triangle shape and was left with a lot of hairs that were not waxed. The lady who I saw this last time was also really harsh and seemed to rush through the experience. I'm pretty disappointed considering it is not cheap to get waxed and now I'm left with random hairs. read more

$27 for an eyebrow wax and tint?!?! Shut the front door!!! Seriously though, Tess did an amazing job. I could not ask for more. Martha, the owner is so nice and always friendly. Hannah, my bikini waxer, is always beautiful, polite, friendly and most important- PROFESSIONAL and FAST. It doesn't hurt and lasts weeks. They use great quality wax, never double-dip or re-melt (gross!). The facility itself is always very clean and VERY charming. They even have personal little towelettes in the bathroom. I really think this is the best waxing in Tucson. Really! read more

From the moment I walked in it was friendly customer service all the way! It was incredibly clean and bright. Most of the places I've been to have been very dim in the room; which when you're getting an eyebrow wax things can be missed. It was the perfect combination of brightness. Hannah was amazing and so so so friendly! I left with a free bottle of cold water on a hot day and a chocolate treat. They definitely know how to make a great impression. I will be back! read more

First man wax in my life. Actually not bad. Pain scale 1-10; I'd say 2. Great staff! Would do it again

It always kinda of weird and awkward to go to a new place to wax especially of the Brazilian kind. But I went today for the first time and I believe Elizabeth took care of me. She made me feel at ease almost like family. She was super friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be back!! read more

I'm a guy and this was my first time ever getting waxed. I got the whole 9 yards. Which means I got a male version of a Brazilian(yes I got my junk and butt waxed). Martha made it a easy experience. She kept me talking about everything and I barely noticed the procedure. Yes it hurt but not as bad as people make it out to be. Step it up and go visit her shop. You will be made to feel very comfortable, well as comfortable as you can having hair pulled out. My wife will be going in a few weeks for her legs and bikini. And yes I will be going back to keep myself smooth and free. Thank you from Dwayne S. read more

I have been to Wax Werks about 4 times now. 2 of those times have been great. The other times sub par. I have had the same girl those 2 times and I have not been happy with her work. I'm 41, and I've been waxing regularly since I was 25 -- this was the best experience I've ever had! The results were what you always hope for when waxing -- my legs were as smooth as glass when I walked out, and no regrowth for over 2 weeks! Not to mention I have very fine, pesky hair on my legs -- and its really difficult to not leave patches that are only visible in the sunlight. There was not one hair left . . . AMAZING! I'll be a regular client from now on! read more

I'm VERY happy with my experience! My first ever Brazilian wax, (it was my first time doing any type of waxing) They were able to fit me in the same day I called (and even called me back after the salon missed my call!) Hannah is very sweet, and professional. I absolutely loved the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the salon. Martha provided my service, she was super friendly, and professional at the same time, and provided me with helpful tips/ knowledge about the waxing. The pain was minimal, thanks to her. I will be back! And will be referring my friends! read more

I don't want to sound mean, but someone has to say it. I have been getting full brazilians for years, and recently moved and tried this place. I read reviews, shop looked decent and price was reasonable. The first time I went I had Martha. It was almost painless, I was impressed. Until about 2 days later when hair was growing back. So I called and she had me come back after 2 weeks for a follow up. It was a different girl this time. She did the wax and within a few days I was broken out with red bumps and (I am not exaggerating) at least 35-40 in grown hairs. All over my inner thighs, butt, ever where! It was horrible. They clearly don't use the right wax/temperature or something. But omg! I will never go back. It has caused me so much pain and irritation and a lot of effort to fix the mess down there. read more

I come here regularly for brazilian waxes because instead of them being dreadful and a chore, the aestheticians really make the experience as good as it can be! They are easy to talk to and do amazing work all at the same time (HOW?!). The place is clean and cozy, with pleasant decor and even posters on the ceiling to help distract you. Wax Werks uses hard wax for these sensitive areas and they ensure the temperature is not too hot for you. They are amazing at getting all the hair you want gone! They take their time and ensure you get lasting results - this being said, the whole ordeal does not take much time at all. The price is reasonable and cheaper than other options out there. It is SO easy to make appointments through their website, which they confirm through text and send reminders. I definitely do look forward to coming when I need to! read more
