Wonderful, I am ecstatic, blessed to have found her. She has been efficient with scheduling, cozy warm environment, making me feel better after wax and nails. I've never had a negative experience. I always look forward to returning, genuine lovely personality and her prices are unbeatable!!! read more

She is so friendly and she does wonderful work - nails and brows looked great. Suite smelled good too.

I have been going to Vy for waxing and nails for over eight years, and I will keep going back hopefully for many many more! She has always been very sweet and friendly with me. I love getting mani-pedis from her. I feel like the polish always lasts a lot longer than if I go someplace else. It's not a high-end salon, but she is clean and she works by herself and having undivided attention is worth it to me. read more

Vy is great. Fair prices, she takes her time and the finished product is wonderful. Thank you!

Regarding Melissa: Super hard to make a convenient appointment, unwilling to accommodate with reasonable dates or times, took forever to get a text message response days in a row and when I did get a text back it was written so poorly it was hard to read and was slightly rude with an unnecessary "lol." I just wanted to support local business but stuff like this is why people go to big name places. read more

I liked Vy and Melissa, they are friendly, albeit somewhat apathetic. However, I will say Melissa does good waxing. If you're looking for a manicure I would check out another place. read more

Got a Groupon for $30 towards shellac manicure and deluxe pedicure. Great deal and friendly service!

Ive been reading a lot of reviews about Vy and wanted to really get services done. Last Saturday I called and called and left a message hoping she'd call me back, but I just decided to go to her place and come to find out it's not a typical nail salon where you can just walk in and get services the same day because Vy is Booked out!! We went ahead and scheduled an apt for next Saturday with Marjinden for mani/pedi. So, I go today and was greeted by Vy and sat in the pedicure chair , it was kinda old but whatever it does the job. Marjinden started doing my pedicure and we're all talking and having laughs.. Even though Vy's place is in the back of some other person's salon and some people would think its a hole in the wall place, but the service is opposite. Its a small place and compact but what are u paying for the place or the service?!? I actually like that its a small place because you don't feel like your nail tech is being rushed to get to the next person and their attention is all on you. It was fun and was worth it waiting to get this kind of service. I did wish she removed my cuticles, but other than that, this is the place that I will be coming back too because they are great ladies and the service is awesome and not rushed! Just make sure you schedule an appointment because they are booked! read more

Nails & Waxing by Vy - Shellac mani - Nail Salons Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

I bought the deal for my sister on Groupon as a gift and I felt horrible about it afterwards! She had gel polish on and the lady yanked it all off and when I asked her if it hurt she said yes. That alone took almost an hour. To put on the new gel polish took another hour and in a few days it all peeled. Very low quality work and customer service. Also, why does it say walk-ins welcome on the door when it's only by appointment. Not that it worth spending a dime here- definitely made it up to my sister afterwards. What a shame. read more

Vy is very sweet, and I have been coming to her for years now. I started coming to her with a Groupon, and continued because she has a great price and offers specials almost monthly. It is true that she is very meticulous; no hair eludes her! I've had better results with her than some other waxing parlors. She is fast. I'm generally in and out in 20 minutes or less. Don't let the curb appeal dissuade you from seeing her. It is true the shop isn't in the greatest part of town, and it doesn't exactly have the ambiance of Red Door or Gadabout. The lights are kind of harsh and there's not much room for modesty! If you need that, by all means go to a more upscale spa; I'd rather keep more of my hard-earned money. read more

Have you ever met someone so nice they make you feel like an asshole because you've never been this kind to someone the first time you ever met them ? That's how Vy will make you feel. I went yesterday and at first, I had no idea what was going on. The ladies in the salon in front exchanged these scoffs and then looked at me with disgust -_______- , I wasn't there for them so I really didn't care but it was still rude, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE A GEM LIKE THAT WORKING HERE. I asked for Vy and the lady didn't even answer, she directed me with a finger. A damn finger. I walked in and the client before me was late, so I did have to wait for a while. My appt. was at 4:45, Vy didn't start on me until about 5:50, but for this woman I would wait centuries. After my eyebrows being butchered at a Nail Salon over on Kolb, Vy fixed them with no issue at all. Then came my Brazilian, and I thank God that it wasn't awkard versus back in California where you feel that if you don't have the vag of a pornstar or supermodel, there's an issue. Vy was talking to me to everything from post waxing care to her family , she even got mad at me because I put my purse on the floor O_O , haha . Eyebrows & Brazilian = $44 ! FORTY FOUR ! That's a smoove $100-150 in CA. AND she gave me coupons for my next visit ?! Seeeeeeeeee. I love Vy, she has a committed customer everytime I come to Tucson. read more

I got a waxing package through Groupon over the holidays and scheduled my first appointment yesterday. If not for Groupon I wouldn't have found this hidden gem. The service was quick and she was very meticulous making sure that every last hair was removed. For the price and quality of service I received I would recommend Vy. I look forward to my two follow up a appointments. Vys shop is not in the best part of town, but it was clean and the waxing room was private. She talked me through the entire process and made it as painless as possible. My skin is sensitive and so I did have some irritation which she pointed out right away and applied neosporin to (I have never had this happen before but it makes sense to me). I had a pleasant experience and have already booked my four week follow up. Her Wednesday and Thursday walk in specials on mani pedis will also probably bring me in to the shop, but I can't comment on those services yet read more

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Vy is incredibly skilled at what she does and is super fun to be around. I just finished up my first visit with Vy and got a gel manicure, a kick-ass pedicure, and a Brazilian wax and - WOW - I feel like a new woman! Vy has such a great attention to detail and she treats her clients very well. I will be going back for all of my "treat yo' self" days until the end of time. TIP FOR NEWBIES: Vy has had trouble receiving payment from Yelp with the deal that she currently has up (and does not have control of her account). She works very hard and continues to honor these gift certificates even though she is not receiving compensation. She mentioned to me that she will honor the same deal if you contact her directly, rather than purchase the gift certificate through Yelp. To sum it up: Go to Vy - she's amazing. Don't buy the Yelp deal - it screws her over. Just give her a call and she'll hook you up. read more

I would have given 0 stars if I could have. I called the phone number listed on this site to make an appointment and was sent a text message by the owner saying to text to make an appointment. I sent back my info and the days I would have liked. She wrote me back with a date and a time and I sent my information to her via text. This exchange happened 2 weeks before the date for the appointment. I show up and she tells me that I don't have an appointment and that I should have texted her. I showed her our exchange and she just said, "Sorry, nothing I can do." Horrible service. Horrible customer rapport. And this place looks like a dump inside. read more

Vy(Wii) is AWESOME! Her waxing is the best I've ever had! She also does great nails and will work to accommodate any schedule. Give Vy a call today! read more

I would say how great the service is but I can't even get someone to answer the phone to schedule an appointment. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get an appointment here read more

Called to make an appointment (because they don't allow walk-ins) and got hung up on and then sent a text message saying "please text me" which was fine so I immediately replied asking if they had any openings for the upcoming Saturday......it has been two days now and I have not heard anything back since. Was super excited to try this place out but now I want nothing to do with this nail salon. Awful customer service. read more

By far the best Brazilian wax I've ever experienced. I was warmly welcomed by Vy, (pronounced "we") who brought me over to one of the private rooms. Vy was very outgoing and chatty, which was a relief. It's awful getting waxed by someone who can't hold up a conversation, and extremely awkward! I was a bit scared when I saw that she was going to be strip waxing as opposed to hard waxing, since that's all I have ever done and was under the impression it would hurt way more...but nope! She was quick and fast and even tweezed any remaining hairs. I've honestly never felt more comfortable being waxed by ANYONE. Did I mention she only charges $36?!?!?! Never going anywhere else again. read more

When it comes to having your pedicures, manicure and full set I HIGHLY recommend you come see Vy Seng (first name pronounced Wii-like the game). I have gone all over Tucson and California (and this includes several so called resort spas in Palm Springs, Hollywood, Beverly Hills and so forth) and have to say that I have not found anyone and I mean anyone to match the service Vy gives. She works by appointment ONLY and can accomodate your schedule upon request. I would get off of work at 7pm and she would give me an 830p appointment. Vy pedicures are amazing and she can do nails like nobody's business! Along with getting a magnificent pedicure she gives you an amazing foot and leg massage. Her pedicures do take a little long but in all honesty she does things to your feet that most places overlook! She makes perfection part of her job and makes sure you are satisfied with the end result. I have also had full sets done here and this is not the type of stuff that breaks off or color fades...it's the nails that last you for a long time, and are that perfect shape! Other services Vy offers: Waxing, (bikini, face, Brazilian, arm, legs etc.) I have done the Brazilian and face wax and again can say that Vy's professionalism and perfect shine through! I HIGHLY recommend this place! NOTE: Vy works by APPT ONLY and she is located in this salon all the way in the back. The front part is a whole other area and I have never had any services done by anyone other than Vy at this location. read more

Nails & Waxing by Vy - Vy - Nail Salons Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

Vy is very professional and she is GREAT at what she does. I have been to her three times for brazillian waxes and she is FAST and very picky about her work. I will not go to anyone expect her for as long as I am in Tucson. She is sweet and pleasant. Her prices are VERY reasonable AND she gives coupons. read more

I loved the non descript little strip mall, the appointment only policy and the fact the were small and ran on time. Melissa gave me perfect feet complete with shiny polish, squared nails like I requested and lots of relaxation. She took her time and kept the chatter to a minimum and I browsed a magazine and enjoyed the massaging chair. I bought a living social deal for 3 deluxe pedicures, and can't wait to go back. The neighborhood is a little rough, but don't let that stop you from stopping here. They do great work. read more

Nails & Waxing by Vy - Halloween toes with a little spider!! Love it!! - Nail Salons Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

All 5 stars are necessary. Today was my first time waxing. Vy made my first time as easy as a Brazilian can be. I highly recommend her. I was incredibly nervous but she managed to keep a conversation going, which made it so much easier for me not to concentrate on the pain. Took about 15 minutes. Thanks Vy. read more

I got my nails done by Melissa. She took over 3.5 hours for my pedi/man. I knew she was new so I didnt complain and was patient. The nail polish was so thin that the color didnt show up very well. The design was ok, the result wasn't good but after 3.5 hours I just want to be done. I understand that she new but I do expect presentable products. After a few days, my polish peel right off....I think she used top coat instead of base coat. I texted Vy and she said Melissa can redo it again. Do I want to sit thru another 3 hours? Probably not. I heard a lot of great things by Vy but she doesnt seems to want to do nails and always suggest others that work with her. read more

I bought a groupon for pedicure. Thank god I only bought pedicure. I WILL NEVER come back! don't waste your money on buying groupon. If you are groupon customer, I think It will be the old lady who does the work. The old lady, I don't who she is, but I do feel this is like a pitfall. She is too old to do the delicate mannual work. Even not sure whether she has a license or not. She dropped her nail clipper a couple of times while doing the work, because her hand are shaking....She even doesn't care about how the nails look like. And she is not doing her job while talking. That's why it can take so long but there is still not much work done. My nails look ugly and I don't want to go back...Overall, this is a BAD experience. Don't waste your money buying groupon! Don't waste your money buying groupon, don't waste your money! read more

Vy is so friendly and welcoming! It was my first time at her salon, getting a Brazilian. I've had Brazilians done in the past but she was hands down the best. She uses soft wax (which I think is much better for the area), and doesn't wax the same area back to back, leaving it a less painful experience. Also, in the past I ALWAYS bled afterwards, but nope, not this time. NOTE: Don't buy any promotions through Groupon, as she doesn't even receive half the amount! I would just call her directly and work out a deal with her. Also, tip her on the full price. I believe that someone who waxes and has to look at my lady parts deserves a good tip on the non-discounted price. I will be coming back, 10/10 would recommend! read more

Omg! That was the quickest, least painful Brazilian experience ever. Yeah, they still hurt like a muthafugger, but it was by far the best of one of the worst life experiences. This bitch is the real deal. Do not hesitate to degrade yer hairy self in her presence!!! tip her generously and bring her Christmas presents! read more

Beware of the older lady, Linda. Sweet as a button, but does not know how to do nails. I spent nearly two hours getting a simple gel manicure and immediately ran to another salon to remove the sloppy mess. She left so much of my previous nail color on despite my repeated attempts to bring it her attention. I should've known just walking into the place that it'd be a nightmare--the place was a wreck. Not sure how Vy thinks Linda or that pigsty will help her business. read more

First place I've found that actually removed my callouses! Linda did my mani/pedi, and did a great job. Definitely will be back, and will try their waxing service too. LOVE Vy! The only reason she doesn't get 5 stars from me is sometimes she can be hard to reach and book with. But I go to her for waxing-- her prices are the best in town and she does a great job! She is also, as others have said, ridiculously nice. After my appointment today, she took me into the back of the salon for fried rice and enchiladas, brought me a coke and a piece of cake and kept encouraging me to eat more. Honestly ridiculous haha I'll gladly book 2 weeks in advance for a woman who is this much of a sweetheart and skilled, too! read more
