2 stars since it was cheap ($30 for gel mani) and I was able to get a walk in appointment quickly - but it was the lowest quality gel manicure I've had. The woman who did my nails seemed nice but she snipped my cuticles twice (which hurt) and didn't do that good a job with the polish application. The first two pics are directly after - there was a large gap between the cuticle and polish, and dead skin left around the nail that I didn't notice until my nails were already cured. The last pic is just 4/5 days after; the nails started chipping from the top and bottom (never had that happen before) and I'm really not very rough on my hands. I've usually had a typical gel manicure last about 2-3 weeks but I'll have to pay extra to get them done somewhere else much sooner than that :( read more

Truthfully you can not beat the price anyone in Tucson and especially for the quality. Especially their pedicures are so worth it as your feet will be baby soft afterwards. They have a good selection of colors and always take the time to clean up my nails for manicured as well. I stopped in for a gel mani-pedi two weekends ago and half-way through I realized that I would definitely be going back for more mani-pedis. My gel manicure still looks great after 10 days and a LOT of wear- including a trip to the beach where I dug in sand with my hands and boogie boarded for hours. The services these women provided made it so that my hands and feet were done relaxingly at the same time, and I felt very nicely attended to. Of course there was this one thing: When I went to pay, I only had my debit card (because I do not carry cash). My services were $65 total, and when I got to the register the lady ringing me up asked if I had cash. I said "no, sorry, just my card." And then she pointed to a white paper sign with simple, black text stating the PREFER cash because of high-credit card fees. The sign was kind of long and I didn't read the entire thing standing right there, but the lady said there would be a SMALL, additional fee. I thought "no big deal, probably $0.35 or so, like at gas stations, etc. NO. I WAS WRONG. The fee is 10% of the total, thus making my fee SIX DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS. $6.50. ATTENTION OWNERS: YOU HAVE TO TELL PEOPLE VERBALLY WHAT THEIR FEE WILL COST. Apparently we have different ideas of what a SMALL fee is. You are warned. The services are good. The customer service could use some work. read more

Went here for my wedding nails with my mom and a bridesmaid. Our pedicure experience was wonderful and the ladies were so nice! I love the color I chose for my toes and my feet were so smooth afterwards. My mom ad bridesmaid just had the gel nail polish put on. Both of their nails turned out very cute! I decided to have acryllics and I am honestly not too pleased with how they turned out. I felt that they were done very sloppily and the lady doing them just didn't care about her work and was more worried with getting them done as fast as she could. I love this place! I have gotten a mani and a pedi many places in Tucson and in Phoenix and not one comes close to Luxury Nails. Every member of the staff that I've had something done by is great. I have had normal mani and pedis and also gel manis and pedis and every time I am always amazed at the quality. I have had acrylic nails put on with and without the tip and am always pleased with the outcome. I get my eye brows done here twice a month as well. The prices are competitive and not too high. They take extra care to make sure whatever they are doing is done correctly, they do not cut corners or rush. The guy who used to do my nails quit. I returned a few times, a sweet lady who I could tell was a new employee gave a great hand massage and I tipped extra for that! The next time I returned, she was on vacation and I decided that would be my last visit. I stopped going because the other employees who worked there were just killing the vibe! They made the experience miserable and I just couldn't justify returning. I now have yet another nail place. My manicurist, whose name sounds like Juey but is in Vietnamese, has mad skills. I paid $25 for shellac and tipped another $10 because she did such a tight job. She was fast but thorough. When I didn't want to talk, she just talked to her co-workers in Vietnamese, which was totally fine by me. Sometimes when I'm getting my nails done, I just want to think. There are a few cuticle spots I wish she would have removed, but the extra care she took on the tips and the bases of my nails more than compensates. Really? This place sucks. I went there just due to their proximity to my tanning place (Maui Beach Tanning which Rocks) I went in and asked for a pedicure. The two Asian ladies working there ignored me for a while then said, "you wait 10 minutes, you pick color." I proceeded to wait 23 minutes then didn't have time for my pedicure so I settled on a polish change. The woman who did this for me (grudgingly) was rude and I swear she was talking smack about me in her native language while doing a half assed job on my toes. Really? In this economy, I don't understand how some people actually have jobs. When I went to pay they informed me that there is an additional charge for using my debit so I used cash. And, when I asked for a receipt the woman hand wrote something on a small piece of paper...I tried to read what it said, but I don't think she knew how to write in English... speechless... I wish there was zero stars to give this place. I literally left the spa crying and I will tell you why. First of all, I don't understand the good reviews and I suspect that the have written them them selves. Here is my story, First of all , the place was EMPTY . I was the only customer. The girl who helped me was called Cindy. I went in to get a full set. She didn't greet me when I walked in.. simply yelled If I had an appointment. I said yes... and the misery started... she was ordering me around yelling.." WASH YOUR HANDS".. "WAIT TEN MINUTES"... "YOU PICK COLOR" She started talking off my acrylic old nails and she was so ruff and rushed that it was so painful. I felt that she was gonna pull off my real nails. As she was taking my fake nails out, she stuck the sharp tool she was using under one of my nail and cut me so badly! I pulled my hands off and said " can you be more careful, please?" .. She did NOT say a word and just gave me a dirty look... She simply continued to work while my finger was bleeding and I had to reach and wipe the blood off my self every now and then... she cut me multiple time through out the whole process of filing and such.. To make a long story short, I left the spa with several cuts , soar cuticles, and lumpy awe full looking acrylic nails. I will never return even if this place discovered the cure for cancer. read more
