NEW management/ownership!! Went to Amy's nails today and had the best experience! Between being offered Vietnamese coffee, soda, water, and packaged snacks/candy to the new fancy massage chairs that look absolutely stunning! It's like a brand new place! It's extremely clean as the owners were showing me their cleaning devices in the back and when they pulled out the kit they would be using to do my nails it was sealed in a surgical/ sterilization wrap! Saddens me to update this review. While I was happy with my service, when I brought a friend here it was like the atmosphere changed. They messed up my friend's nails and her daughter's nails. It was very uncomfortable because they just kept staring at her daughter, my friends tattoos, and my legs (I have scars because of some conditions). Normally I don't mind but, they just kept it up the whole time. When I expressed how we were uncomfortable, our pedicures were cut short. I haven't been back since. read more

I just tried Amy's Nails for the first time, making an appointment for a manicure & pedicure, and I have to say it will be my last visit there! I received the fastest pedicure I ever had where the gentleman when finished quickly left the store! I sat there for a few minutes until I asked what was going on with my manicure? A lady informed me they take turns, & the person next was with another client....so I had to wait....when I finally got into the seat of the manicurist, I was really surprised at how little he did, leaving hangnails, ragged edges, etc... When I complained about how fast my pedicure was, the front desk person asks me for my phone number to give the gentleman, so he could call me & I could explain it to him my disappointment!! I said no, thinking he didn't speak english, would not even remember who I was, and I was probably going to just be satisfied with this review!! read more

Don't even bother wasting your time going here. Whenever i have an appointment booked they somehow can't manage to get to me and make me wait 1-3 hours. This has happened multiple times and now I am officially fed up and will no longer do business here. Not to mention, Amy, is absolutely rude and inconsiderate of peoples times. Never apologizes or tries to figure something out. Definitely racist too!! The work here isn't good either. Take your money elsewhere with better service. read more

We made an appointment the day before since we had a large group coming for pedicures. We all agreed afterwards we would not come back to this nail place. We all felt very rushed. There was nothing special about the pedicure. For $30 some hot towels would be nice. No just a polish change nail trim and some lotion was all we got. When we went to check out we were told the credit card machine wasn't working. So now we all had to scrambled and find the closest bank because we didn't have cash on us. There was no signage anywhere that said the card machine was down. In reading other reviews it seems the machine has either been down for a while or there is no credit card machine. Seems very suspicious all they take is cash - and don't announce that's all they take. Also - don't take your kids there - there is no child discount for a polish change. They charged $30 to remove and paint toes and fingernails that took them all of 10 minutes. Complete rip off. read more

Love getting my nails done at Amy's Nails. She does my dip refills and I get pedis here too! She's excellent at ombre looks, and fun to visit with. I like that she's also quick and does a super good job! A lot of local people come here! I went for a gel pedicure and the person doing my nails did not do a good job. My cuticles were not properly trimmed. He did not shape my nails, and when I asked him to shape my nails he tried do it after he put the top coat on. The shape of my nails came out uneven, crooked, and jagged. He did not seal my nails with a top coat after he filed my painted nails. I had to point out that the color was uneven. Finally, he cured the polish on to my cuticles and when I asked him to fix it, he tried to cut of the cured nail polish with my skin with cuticle clippers. I will say that throughout the process he was very kind and receptive to my feedback. I was just disappointed to have paid for this level of work. read more

I went to Amy's nails on Friday, 8/19. I paid $35 for a French gel manicure, which took around 20 minutes. First red flag, the guy doing my nails didn't file/cut my nails until after they were already painted. I've never experienced that before. When leaving the salon, I noticed that they were sloppy, but for $35, I wasn't too upset since it was better than what I would've done myself. What really bothered me is my nails were chipping within ONE day of getting my nails done. I couldn't believe it. By Sunday (2 days later), they were completely trashed with almost every nail chipped. I got them done for a trip I was taking and my nails looked horrible the entire time. I live down the street from this place and it's super convenient to come here to get a quick gel mani done but every time I go there, they always mess up my nails. I've had all of their employees do my mani and every single person that works there does a horrendous job. I just think the next time I go, they will get it right and in hopes they don't mess up ..but they mess it up EVERY TIME. You would think the location where it's at (Dove Mountain) that they would bring superior top quality work to this salon, but they always fail. Today is Sept 3 2019 I've been getting pedicures since I was a young girl. It's been a great memory of my life as a relaxation day with my mom or friends or when I felt like being alone . Last week I was one of five In our party celebrating a friends 40 th birthday ! Our appts were all at 3:00 pm and by 3:20 my pedicure was all done . Not only did I feel rushed and not relaxed at all I felt cheated . I would never want another 15 minute pedicure when I can go anywhere else and relax . Horrible horrible horrible!!! I went in for a dip manicure and only one lady does them. Our appt was at 10:30 and we didn't get taken until 11am. She was rushing my nail, cut my cuticles twice, and when she started gluing on the tips I had noticed one was crooked. I mentioned it to her very nicely and the next thing I know she grabs clippers and just started ripping off my tips and says I can't do your nails. She said she's not comfortable doing my nails because it seemed like I didn't trust her work. (It literally went from 0-100 in 2 seconds.) I was left stunned as non of the other employees nor the manager said anything. My sister also was getting a pedicure and they cut her cuticle very badly. The place is garbage. read more

This is a relatively new business and it's right near my house so my mom and I tried it out. We made appointments and they seemed to be somewhat busy. I guess they stay quite busy even on weekdays. Business seemed split between people with appointments and walk-ins. They took us both back right away, but one guy started on my mom and I was left sitting with my feet in the tub for quite a while, probably 30 minutes. They did apologize for the wait and they made up time by doing my manicure at the same time as my pedicure. We both got the deluxe pedi, which includes paraffin wax, hot stones, and a callous remover. In my opinion, it's worth the extra $10. The classic pedi is $25 if you don't want the deluxe. The pedicure was nice and relaxing, but it was a little awkward reaching across my body so the guy could do my nails while I was sitting in the pedi chair. The lady doing my pedi gave me a great massage. Both people working on me did a good job, but they are a bit heavy on the upselling. "Do you want paraffin for your hands?" "Do you want a flower on your big toe? Ring finger?" Be careful, because those additional things can add up quickly. They do have some cool techniques, but I'm more of a classic gal. For me, the true test of a nail salon is how my gel mani holds up. It held up well for exactly two weeks, at which point the polish began lifting away from the nail and two of my nails chipped. I have gotten a couple gel manis previously that held up without chipping or lifting for as long as four weeks, and I would consider that to be five stars. This was pushing two weeks; you probably couldn't keep your polish job looking nice any longer than that. Prices are about what you find anywhere else. All the nail techs are very friendly, but the guy who did my nails was difficult to understand. The guy who did my mom's pedicure was very talkative and nice. They prefer that you tip in cash, which is pretty much what I've seen in most nail salons. read more

Wrote on the sign in sheet "Fill with Amy", when I was asked what service I needed, again "Fill with Amy for myself, and Gel manicure for my daughter" I was told "Okay, just wait a few minutes" then we were asked to wait in the back chairs. The guy did my daughters manicure while I "waited" for Amy... after my daughters service was finished, Amy had 2 different Ladies sitting at her station. After 2 1/2 hours I was done waiting! If it wasn't a service she could have done then I should have been told that, not asked to wait and wait and wait. This is the first time I got a dip powder manicure and I'm officially hooked. The price was reasonable compared to other nail salons. The salon itself is pleasant. Despite not making an appointment, I was helped immediately. I love how my nails came out. I believe Amy was the one who did them. Everyone was very sweet! I like Amy's Nails because they do the "Dip Technique" and they're fast. The Dip stays on longest with little damage to your nail bed compared to all other techniques and it doesn't chip unless you break the nail. Other reasons why I like the shop is you have 3 pedicure options and prices to choose what services are preferred. My last pedicure made me fall asleep I was so relaxed. Prices are average, no surprises. Owners and Staff are very friendly. read more
