I already had a feeling my coffee was going to take a while but I didn't expect it to take a total of 18 min. What usually takes 5 min took 18 min total. I ordered a hot Crème de la Crème specialty coffee... it was quite good, although what really left an impression on me was the service and the vibes of this place. At the counter, the woman taking our orders was incredibly helpful and patient with us as we had about a million questions regarding the menu. You could tell that the baristas were all friends and seemed to enjoy working there. As for the ambiance - I absolutely loved the design in this place! The shade of blue, the concrete, the wood, the tile, the leather chairs... everything was so nice (if a little masculine)! This is a lovely coffee shop that feels like it was designed to look like a modern house. I really liked the lounge style seating options and the bar along the window with some of the best power outlets I've ever seen :) The coffee was good, I had a Flat White that was smooth and creamy and my son had the Espresso Ginger Mule. Love good fellows. I work down the way so I can confirm and confidently say they are very consistent with their drinks. The crème de la crème is my fav all the way. Sad to say but I'm definitely never coming here again. My friend and I have loved getting coffee here every Sunday and we look forward to getting our lattes. We had the best experiences with staff and the coffee has been great in the past. However the last two times we've come here the coffee tastes SOUR. I understand maybe the coffee has some fruity notes or different notes added but the latte tastes like SOUR MILK. The first time this happened we had to throw them away after paying 15$ for both coffees. We blamed it on the long lines and felt bad having to ask the barista to remake it. This morning we gave the coffee shop another try and sadly, it still tastes horrible. This time, the shop was not busy and when we asked the barista about it, she said that they change their coffee and that it's due to the flavor of the coffee that they use. Not once did she offer to remake it or at least offer an alternative. I can't speak on their food, but coffee is definitely a BIG NO. read more

Following my new year's resolution and am supporting more local small coffee shops! I feel good! Husband and I stopped in last Sunday morning for our latte break. It is our first time here and we love it! In order to gauge our complex taste buds, we ordered the Latte, with no special instruction. They source their beans from Dark Horse Coffee Roasters. Really good and smooth. Taste is mild yet strong enough for me. I like tasting a good shot of espresso on my latte. The milk does not overpower the espresso. Just the right amount of milk to espresso ratio. We also shared a blueberry scone. Cute seating area with nice leather chairs and coffee tables. (even though I like the cushiony love seats and pillow-stacked sofas in some other coffee houses, leather is the way to go! As it is much easier to clean) They stream very chill music. Goes well with our lattes and conversations. Check out the artist Little Dragon if you are curious. Service is super friendly. Looks like they all get along behind the counter *smile* They also have a cooler with additional beverages in case you need a non-coffee drink. Found this new to me shopping area. Decided to drive through the parking lot and there is a variety of different places to eat. Korean corn dogs, barbecue chicken, Shabu Shabu bar, and of all things a Hallmark store. Since I was looking for a coffee I went into this cute little place called Goodfellows. It was hard to tell if they were open chairs were stacked up and it looked like they were getting ready to close. But they were open. I ordered a large iced lavender latte. It was very good the coffee taste very smooth. The lavender flavoring was just right. They have some places to sit and charging station. I'm still not clear and if it's a new place or an old place. One thing noticeable was there were some bar stools and they're padded with a cover on them and the cover was all frayed exposing the cushion so I chose not to sit there. They were very comfortable which probably means they get used a lot which is why they're getting worn out. Other than that I like this place I'll get a coffee here again when I'm shopping at the nearby Ralphs. Five stars. read more

I've been coming to Goodfellows for years because I grew up in Cypress and love to support local. Had my last visit yesterday and won't be coming back. It wasn't the first time I've stood behind someone that the barista behind the counter was "friends" with so they chat and catch up, screw whoever else is in line. But I was ignored, they only greet their friends when they come in, and the barista went on and on about venues their bands have performed at and what the crowds were like in Reno or Vegas etc with the guy in line in front of me for so long, even made eye contact with me because I checked my watch, and then resumed their conversation so I walked out. Unless you're one of their favorites or the baristas buddies, don't expect good service or even acknowledgment. There is better coffee with wonderful service else where! read more

We ordered a hot medium cookie butter latte and a hot medium honey lavender latte with a good morning bagel. The bagel was a little hard but I still liked it - it had egg, cheese and bacon. It was $6, which is pretty expected. They ended up giving us a small lavender latte instead of medium, but I didn't say anything after trying it because I didn't really like it. It was very heavy on the syrup. I typically order lavender lattes from coffee shops, and this was probably one of the worst ones I've had. The cookie butter latte was okay, but the cookie butter flavor wasn't really there. I don't like giving bad reviews to small businesses, but this was pretty disappointing. I finally ventured into OC because I was craving the rare gem called a lavender & honey latte that not many cafes make. The exterior is very fresh and modern and almost gave me cozy library vibes. I could see this place being a great study/work space. They had both indoor and outdoor seating and ample and free parking. I ordered the iced lavender and honey latte with oat milk and it was bomb! Luke took my order and he was friendly and helpful with describing the drinks. I ended up ordering the Chagaccino since I've never heard of anything like that before. I mean, mushrooms in coffee? Excellent Espresso & Tonic. Probably the best one I had so far in terms of fizzy espresso drinks. Better than Platonic Fizz at Dripp, or Fizzy Americano at Moongoat. The presentation was beautiful with separate layers of espresso and tonic, and topped off with an orange peel, which really heightened the flavor of this drink. I haven't tried anything else yet, but this drink alone will keep me coming back here. Service was excellent, and the barista really seemed passionate about crafting the drinks. I absolutely love this place!! This is my go to coffee spot in the OC. The service was fantastic and the Barista was an absolute sweetheart. I think his name was Bliss. Both the woman at the register and the barista were exceptionally friendly and my inquiries regarding pastries (they had quite a variety in their case) were happily answered. I ordered a Mexican mocha and a chocolate croissant. I appreciated the "no spill" lid on my mocha as I often dribble as I drive. The coffee here is made from beans provided by Solid coffee roasters - always excellent. The cinnamon in my Mexican mocha was a perfect blend. My croissant was darn good, very chocolatey. It was more dense than any croissant I've ever had which made it less messy but a tiny bit tougher to bite through. I'd definitely recommend this place for coffee & pastries: 4.5 stars. read more
