This man came to my apartment to rekey my car originally quoting me $135.00 because my keys were stolen. After trying the key he told me it would not work and I had to purchase the one for $185.00 ( after trying to price negotiate as he refused I agreed to pay the $185.00) after making the new key he showed me the key worked I paid him $185.00 in cash. As I walked over to the car he shut the door with my car running and walked over to my moms car and demanded 15.00 more dollars as I was checking my doors they were ALL locked with my car running. I than began trying to get his attention letting him know my keys were locked in the car as it was running he ignored me still demanding 15.00 more dollars from my mom saying "you don't go to Walmart" and not pay tax( earlier when quoted 135 said no tax & not once mentioned anything about plus tax) he then started laughing saying "well looks like you will have to pay me the extra now your keys are in the car or I can just leave with your car running I have your money already" I proceeded to call the police and my mom went and stood in the passenger door and he began to physically grab my mom trying to make her move so he could leave as she refused and demanded money or the doors to be unlocked and I was talking to dispatch he pulled out a badge imposing as a police officer as he realized I was really talking to 911 he got even more physical trying to make it to the driver side but we blocked him until the police got here. When they got here he lieddddddd of course and the police "couldn't do anything about it" it's a civil matter!!! So yes he got to leave with 185.00 and my car running with my keys inside not to mention he put his hands on both me and my mother!!! All because he wanted 15 more dollars!!! After he already mentioned he was working for himself off the clock!!! He thinks he got over on us because we were two women but you and those officers will answer in court i have the entire thing recorded you will pay for this I promise!!!! I just want to start off by saying this is my 1st yelp review ever . That being said, this was the best experience I have ever had with a locksmith. I don't even know where to begin! I lost my car keys down town and I was lucky enough to have extra keys to my house and car. That meant that I only had one set. I had to make extras and soon! I went to the Toyota and asked for a duplicate key which was $120 and after two hours of waiting the guy tells me that it will be another two hours plus he can't make a key from the key I gave him bc it's not a master key. I left the dealer ship pissed and felt like they were taking advantage of me. My father told me about Joshua. I told him that earlier that day Toyota told me that it was impossible to do that with out a master key and He agreed I was being taking advantage of by the dealer ship. Joshua saved my butt today! My purse was stolen along with my only set of car keys that also had keys to my apartment and my moms house. Since my ID was also stolen and had my moms address on it, I now needed to not only replace my car key but we needed to relock and replace keys to my moms house. Joshua was able to help within an hour of calling him and he arrived to my car exactly when he said he would. He was very professional and friendly and assured my mother and I legitimacy and security with his business. He quickly replaced my car key and explained the process and how everything worked. He gave me a remote key and a programmed spare key for $378 and then a door key in case I lock my keys in the car for free! (This was a very reasonable price compared to other quotes and my dealership) He even showed me how he could erase the programming for any previous keys that were no longer in my possession. He then followed my mom and I back to her house and replaced all the locks and keys for her. I had a spare key to my apartment that I assumed I would have to go through my apartment to replace the original and he offered to make me a copy right then for 2 bucks and then went a head and made me an additional copy for free! (My apartment would have charged me an arm and a leg!)The whole process (car and house) just took about 3 hours and my mom and I are left feeling safe and satisfied! This week and worse this morning my Dodge Truck FOB was freaking out and it was very difficult to get the truck unlocked with the malfunctioning FOB. I went to the dealer yesterday and they told me $280 for one and 45 minutes. Today with the situation getting worse I was planning on going to the dealer. I read more forums this morning and went ahead and tried lowes. After my pit stop in Lowes, I headed to the dealer and called Home Depot and the answer was no way. I called Auto zone and they give me this number for the business. The guy told me he would be in his truck van in front of my house in ten minutes. I stopped on 79 and quickly turned to get back to my home. He was here about two minutes after I got here and had my TWO, TWO FOBS with cuts key fully functional within ten minutes. Joshua and his kid Zachary were quick and professional. Very legit business with everything to prove it. Around 9:30 pm I realized I had lost my keys to my clunker and was stranded @Zilker Park. They take credit cards on the spot, and have a fully marked vehicle. Unfortunately, I had to write a bad review for an issue that occurred during the service. I was referred to General Mobile locksmith. Joshua came to my house on short notice. He was very informative and helped diagnose the issues with key fob for my Jeep. Internal antenna was broke. He took some time to try and fix it which was appreciated but ultimately we had to get a replacement fob. He provided and programmed the new fob which was nearly identical to my old fob. Tested it multiple times with lock/unlock and remote start. Works great. Tony is a life saver. I lost my keys at work and had to leave my car over night with high hopes of finding them the next day but no luck. I called Tony and told him my situation and he told me to stay calm that he was on his way. He arrived and introduced himself he was kind and very helpful. He explained the process and got started on making me a key. He charged me what he had quoted me over the phone even though he had a small issue come up since he had no power in the truck to program the key. I had a house key stolen and contacted Joshua to get my house rekeyed. He came out and saw that most of the locks could be automatically rekeyed with a small tool, so he gave me one of them and showed me how to do it. He said he could rekey the other ones if I wanted but that it would save me money to get new locks that could be automatically rekeyed. Couldn't be happier! I had attempted to replace and recode an ignition cylinder myself and couldn't get it to work. Many other locksmiths didn't even want the job. He gave me a fair quote over the phone, arrived on time, and talked me through every step he took to complete the repair (even showing me where I had gone wrong).
