While it took posting a negative review to get a response from Henryafter he refused to complete the service that we agreed on, he did, in the end, go above and beyond. At first Henry did not want to do the service we asked for because of a seemingly odd situation with a car. At first Henry did not want to do the service because it looked like an illegitimate ownership situation which I completely understand however he wasn't going to even allow the opportunity to prove ownership by providing a title because I couldn't do it as fast as he thought I should because I was at work. Don't get me wrong I completely understand wanting to protect consumers I had no problem providing the title but he blocked my number instead of allowing me to provide the proof required. in the end he did cut the keys and they worked beautifully, and we felt that he went above and beyond...I just don't think that it sure is provider should ever shut a customer down before they even give an opportunity to resolve whatever the question may be. in the end I will say that I'm very happy with the results I just don't feel like I should have to post a review and then go back and edit a review to be able to get great results from a service provider. read more

He clearly stated all the fees and charges and confirmed that he could replace mailbox lock. He had me send details to him and had Simon call me back to set up a time. Simon is the man!! We've called on him tons of times but I'm just finally getting around to writing a review. Today he came by one of our rental properties to fix a wonky old sliding glass door that was always a little off and finally stopped locking. He spent time fixing not only the lock itself but also the track that the sliding door was on as well as removing some dirt and leaves that had accumulated that were effecting the way the door moved on the track. This review is so long overdue! Henry's Lock & Key helped me re-key my house and garage door. Haim got back to me super fast and was able to get out to my house soon after our initial messages. I had an issue with my door jamb in that the original screws used were not the proper size-- it's easy for burglars to just kick in your door if you don't have the right screws. Haim replaced everything I needed in less than an hour, and none too soon because one of my neighbors got broken into within the month through that exact method! I recently went on vacation to Florida. While the sand and surf were lovely, I left my car key there apparently. I used this locksmith once and never again. Scheduling was difficult (he even showed up 30 minutes early, in the early morning, had the nerve to ask if I could wake up sooner). My parents was stolen so he was supposed to re-make my house keys and my BMW smart key. The house keys were fine, the lock he installed on the mailbox broke within a few days, and the BMW key broken within a few months. He also neglected to cut the BMW key, so all I had was the electronic part, not the part that fits into the door. He came out, complained a lot, then 'fixed' both, only to have the BMW key break a couple months later and the lock installed backwards. Then, when I wrote about the broken key, he tells me there's a 3 month warranty when the website says one year on parts, and he'll charge me another $100 (he requested cash the first time, even gave me a discount for it), to fix what should be broken within a couple months. So, my conclusion is very cheap parts (especially if you need a lock installed or a smart key), expensive labor, and poor professional communication. Thanks for nothing. Update: I see the owner's comments, and I understand it's been 10 months, less since you actually had to come back to fix the multiple mistakes on the first trip, but your website very clearly states a one year warranty is still in effect. And I DID contact you, at which point you lied to me and told me it was a 3 month warranty and said I'd still have to pay service and labor fees (like I already mentioned in my review). We realized on a Saturday night, the weekend before Thanksgiving, that both (all) the keys to my car, which was in a parking garage, were missing. After a frustrating 24 hours trying to find at least one of them, Henry's Lock and Key returned a voicemail left on a Sunday early evening within an hour or so - really I think in less than half an hour but it's been 6 or 7 weeks and I can't be accurate. Henry fit me in the next morning, came to where my car was and made me two new keys and remote at a reasonable price (EXTREMELY reasonable compared to the dealer price - & they were certainly not going come out to the parking garage to do it. They sounded as if we were going to have to plan to leave the car with them at least overnight, maybe more "because it's a holiday week.") I had requested a quote from Henry a few months back for a second key for my car, which has an electronic ignition system. Then things got busy, and I put it on the back burner. When I called him today, he honored that quote -- which was much better than I expected, from reading about what needed to be done -- without a problem. (Honestly, I think he would have charged me the same even if I hadn't already gotten the quote. :) ) Additionally, Henry is friendly and personable. We had bought a 2011 car that had remote locking but only valet keys for door opening and a single chip key to start the car. The dealer price is so incredibly high ( $hundreds per remote key) I have now driven it from my conscious thoughts. Several locksmiths appeared to take advantage of this if their pricing is an indicator (dealership = total screwing, ambitious locksmiths = 75% screwing). Henry's Lock and Key did not seem to be one of those. I ended up rolling through a bunch of reviews and figured that a 5-star with 50-ish reviews was a good risk, plus Henry's was on my end of town. Henry showed up when we had agreed (Saturday) and put together 2 keys to allow us to use our remote locks. He counseled me about G-chip keys and said to call him if anything went awry - no charge. So far so good :-) Henry was focused yet still personable. He has a lot of drive with relation to his family - certainly a trait that deserves a thumbs up. Will recommend or use him again. read more
