When I called Austin Express Keys last night to unlock my son's car, I was told by John the price was $75 + tax. The technician then call my son he was on his way there but for the price of $80 + tax. When the technician arrived, he told my son the price would be $95+ tax or he wouldn't do it. My son had no choice since he trusted what John quoted $75+tax so we didn't call other companies and also he had waited for 25 minutes there. Integrity is the most important thing in business. John quoted a price of 75 plus tax, then told my child it was 80 plus tax, and when the technician arrived, he insisted on $95 or else he wouldn't do the job. This company is HORRIBLE! I had a locked my key in my car. They came out so-called replaced and reprogrammed my key . It worked off and on. I have made numerous attempts to contact them. The office personnel would out me on hold indefinitely and at other times stated they would call me back. Well, that never happened. Most recently as of today, July 17, 2023, they said that the number I called is a hospital. I have been talking to the same foreign guy I had the problem. I don't feel like the keys were cut clean . There's a lot of resistance in the lock cylinder which could potentially cause premature damage to the lock . When notified about this was advised " We'll it works"! Was also backburnered in a keyfob program and recieved zero followup was told to call when i was at my residence after hours ( Not sure why that mattered) quality and follow thru was poor. This place has excellent service! We bought a new house with a pool and several doors leading to the pool which did not had a door handle that would always open from the inside as the only lock. Needless to say we wanted to install deadbolts and locks to secure the pool area. We first called Andersonmill locksmith. Terrible! Terrible!! They wasted our time and after several phone calls and two visits to our house told us they would pass on the job because he didn't feel he could install the lock up high without breaking the glass in the door.
