Quote was the price. No added charges or attempts to add service. Professional, courteous, and communicated as to time of arrival, length of time to do. Trustworthy. Of all the quotes I received, he was in the middle. Most really low bidders are a scam. Won't take advantage of your elderly parents or those who might be easily misled. I forgot to have him rekey one door. He came next day and done in five minutes. I have recommended him to my church community. He is now in my trusted list of service providers. I now have a locksmith who does installs, rekeys, vehicle lockouts, etc. Adding him to my appliance repair guy, my plumber, and my electrician. Worth every penny. read more

TLDR: Jon is awesome. He's knowledgeable, experienced, friendly, communicative, professional, honest, and easy to talk to. Don't hesitate to hire. Jon did a great job installing our new smart lock. If you're in the same boat, I recommend doing your own research and choosing a smart lock that works for you before getting a quote (it will depend on the complexity of the lock). Additionally, when rekeying our other locks to match, he noticed some problems with our deadbolts that he also fixed on the spot. When I first reached out to him, I did feel like his prices were a bit higher than some other quotes I obtained. Still, something told me to go with him (and support a local business as well). After he finished the job, his prices made way more sense. He leaves a large window for each customer in case there are unforeseen issues or he finds problems that he could fix on the spot (this is common since locks wear out over time). An immediate fix is definitely preferred since each service call costs a substantial amount. So it does seem like he factors in additional time for each visit so that he's able to problem solve and fix as much as necessary. This was really helpful since like I mentioned before, our other deadbolts were not closing all the way. In addition to a job well done, Jon seemed like a genuinely good dude and my husband and I enjoyed talking to him. Really glad I chose to go with Jon and I highly recommend him for all your locksmith needs. read more

I highly recommend Jon. He responded quickly with upfront honest information. I'm so glad I chose his business. A+++

Jon was professional, friendly, and informative throughout the entire process. He repaired a door that had ongoing issues with closing properly and locking with the deadbolt. He even returned my call promptly while he was on his honeymoon and scheduled us as soon as he was back in town. His responsiveness and commitment to customer service were exceptional. read more

I had a huge issue with my iron doors. The previous locksmith totally messed up the parts. The door was stuck and would not open. Jon really went out of the way to try to remedy the situation. He was able to open up the doors but the lock system will need a technician with metals experience to come up with a solution. Jon even came back again the next day with another idea he wanted to try to fix the situation. The problem is beyond his scope but he did all he could do to help me. I'll be sure to call Jon for my future locksmithing needs. Thanks Jon! read more

Jon stands behind is work. Our builder-installed Schlage digital lock has had problems since we closed in 2019. He replaced it under warranty in May 2023. Unfortunately, that particular model had known problem, and they stopped selling it in late 2023. Ours failed again, but Schlage refused to honor the warranty when I called. I resigned myself to buying a new lock and called Jon. He called the company and they shipped a new model lock to replace it under warranty. He can out today--a Sunday afternoon--to install it. Jon is top-notch! read more

Very responsive, fair price, hustled to get out to my place promptly. Plus, his dog is great! :) thanks Jon!

After hours of searching, I had the pleasure of hiring Jon to install a Yale smart lock on my front door. His work was exceptionally quick and professionally done, reflecting the high quality and attention to detail he brings to his craft. Jon is a true professional; after the job was done, we spent about 30 minutes just talking, simply because I genuinely enjoyed his company and perspective. Couple nights ago, one of the door locks broke and the door was stuck/locked shut. Called Jon's Locksmith and he promptly walked me through identifying some of the parts, and about 30 minutes later showed up to open the door for us. One of the parts were missing, and needed a couple days to be delivered, so he was kind to explain exactly how to install the new part once we received it, and now with the part delivered, it took me a couple minutes to get it installed, saving us from having to call him for another trip and paying him for that trip. I liked the interaction and will definitely keep him in my phonebook for any locksmith needs. read more

Great job. Thanks Jon. Highly competent and affordable.

Jon is both a great guy and a great locksmith. He was very quick, reasonably priced, and very nice. Would definitely use again!

Jon was great!!! He came right out today when I called!!! He re-keyed my locks following a robbery when thieves took my purse with a house key and drivers license with my address!!! I had been scared they'd come on in anytime they liked. He was done in a jiffy and made me a number of extra keys that I had to have for my property management and my kids and self. He even gave my English Cresm golden retriever a ton of loving that she begged him for. Normally she is scared of people but not Jon. She could tell he had a good disposition!! Thank you Jon you've got my future business!!! DJ read more

Can I give 10-stars? Jon came out to the house within an hour on a Saturday afternoon (busy Christmas weekend!) and got us back in lickety-split! His pricing was really reasonable, too. I understand that some locksmiths charge extra for Saturday service, but that doesn't appear to be the case with Jon; he gave me pricing up front and a detailed receipt afterwards, definitely no price gouging. I appreciated his professionalism, friendliness, and courtesy. He also did not leave a mess. Bonus: Jon made a bunch of extra keys for us on the spot. In the past, I've been handed a key and told to go to Home Depot or somesuch to get extras made. Jon's pricing for extra keys was less than Home Depot and saved us an extra headache. Jon's Locksmith was on a "10 Best Locksmiths in Georgetown" list here on Yelp--good ol' Yelp! I've had good luck with these Yelp lists, by the way. They are based on customer recs, so I've learned to trust them. Just a quick note: make sure to have cash or check for payment. Otherwise, it's a quick trip to the ATM. read more

Great guy - came over within an hour and went above and beyond. I will definitely be contacting him again when I get locked out.

I highly recommend Jon. I called him a few weeks ago for an emergency lockout issue on Mother's Day. I was starting to get worried because I was finding it difficult to find someone. Luckily, I called Jon! He showed up quickly, exactly when he said he would, and did a great job. Also, wanted to point out that he is licensed and insured. Exactly what you want in a locksmith! read more

Jon was absolutely great! He rekeyed our whole house in no time, and even took the time to stop and pet our crazy little dogs and give them attention as they were frantically jumping all over his feet wanting to play. He was also super flexible with scheduling, and gave us a ton of helpful tips and recommendations for getting a new brand of garage door handle, which is something we had asked for his input on since we've been thinking about upgrading it. There was no pressure at all, just helpful advice. Would definitely recommend Jon to others! read more

Easter Sunday. 11pm or so. I let my dog out for one last potty, then was looking over the fence at a huge trash panda when the wind blew my side door in - and locked. Oh. Em. GEE. I called seven locksmiths allegedly open 24 hours. Jon was the first one that actually answered, referred me to someone else because he said they'd be cheaper. They weren't, and after waiting another 25 minutes standing around in my jammies waiting for someone to call me back with an ETA, I called Jon back. He was there lickity split, and actually was cheaper even with the drive from Georgetown to Round Rock. He got me inside in less than 5 minutes, didn't damage my door, or remark on my trashy ready-for-bed state. An absolute angel. read more
