I had a huge issue with my iron doors. The previous locksmith totally messed up the parts. The door was stuck and would not open. Jon really went out of the way to try to remedy the situation. He was able to open up the doors but the lock system will need a technician with metals experience to come up with a solution. Jon stands behind is work. Our builder-installed Schlage digital lock has had problems since we closed in 2019. He replaced it under warranty in May 2023. Unfortunately, that particular model had known problem, and they stopped selling it in late 2023. Ours failed again, but Schlage refused to honor the warranty when I called. I resigned myself to buying a new lock and called Jon. He called the company and they shipped a new model lock to replace it under warranty. He can out today--a Sunday afternoon--to install it. Couple nights ago, one of the door locks broke and the door was stuck/locked shut. Called Jon's Locksmith and he promptly walked me through identifying some of the parts, and about 30 minutes later showed up to open the door for us. One of the parts were missing, and needed a couple days to be delivered, so he was kind to explain exactly how to install the new part once we received it, and now with the part delivered, it took me a couple minutes to get it installed, saving us from having to call him for another trip and paying him for that trip. Can I give 10-stars? Jon came out to the house within an hour on a Saturday afternoon (busy Christmas weekend!) and got us back in lickety-split! His pricing was really reasonable, too. I understand that some locksmiths charge extra for Saturday service, but that doesn't appear to be the case with Jon; he gave me pricing up front and a detailed receipt afterwards, definitely no price gouging. I appreciated his professionalism, friendliness, and courtesy. He also did not leave a mess. Bonus: Jon made a bunch of extra keys for us on the spot. In the past, I've been handed a key and told to go to Home Depot or somesuch to get extras made. Jon's pricing for extra keys was less than Home Depot and saved us an extra headache. Jon's Locksmith was on a "10 Best Locksmiths in Georgetown" list here on Yelp--good ol' Yelp! I've had good luck with these Yelp lists, by the way. Easter Sunday. 11pm or so. I let my dog out for one last potty, then was looking over the fence at a huge trash panda when the wind blew my side door in - and locked. Oh. Em. GEE. I had to come here to give my very short experience and review of Jon's locksmith. We were locked out of our house tonight (in the middle on June) with my 3 young kids. I called Jon's after another locksmith quoted us a 2 hour wait time. He immediately let me know he was out of town and wouldn't be able to come. I was bummed!
