Pretty expensive for three keys I paid $16. I only went here because I thought they would be more convenient than going to Home Depot. It took several minutes for the husband or wife to acknowledge I walked in the store even though I was the only one in the store. Once she was making the keys for me she started talking about crazy things and her political views which was a big turn off I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I wish they had a big red hat on the business sign I would've not gone in in the first place. I will give them two stars because the keys work but be mindful that unless I'm wearing a big red hat don't talk to me about your big red hat stuff. Your views are your views and it's best to keep it that way when you're running a business. Don't make people uncomfortable when they come in to do business with you. read more

We ran into a couple of issues with our door handles (they basically got stuck and we couldn't get to our own back porch) and needed a locksmith ASAP. Since I'd used this business' services before, I called them yet again and could get an appointment within 24 hours of the call. The owner, Brian ) was on time, extremely helpful and was also mindful about wearing his mask (!!) - replaced the door handles, installed an electronic lock and even fixed a deadbolt that was misbehaving without me even asking for him to fix it! Their hourly rates are $78 , and it only took Brian 30 - 35 mins to handle both issues. I'd recommend this business in a pinch. read more

First time calling a locksmith, they came out same day and helped make a new key for my car, which i had foolishly lost. I have a replacement key fob I use, and never got the emergency key cut. Let me start by saying these people are great to deal with. Brian the owner came out to my house about a year ago to put a automatic key pad type lock on my front door. The install was fast and it's been working great. A few months ago I bought a used RAM 2500 and it only came with one key. Made a visit to the lock shop again and got the new key fob made. I gave up those cheap Walmart keys a long time ago. They break, they bend, and aren't cut accurately. My kids lose their house keys about two times a year, so I visit this store often. They have different designs so that everyone gets one to fit their personality, and so I know who left their key laying around. ;) The lady at the front interacted with my son helping him pick out his key showing him racecars, ninja, and girlie design poking fun. He is shy and she was able to crack a smile from him. My daughter recently locked my keys in the truck getting her bookbag out, I called Cedar Park Lock and Key, they were at my house within 15 mins and quoted me the exact price which was reasonable. Have been dealing with for years they are straight forward and give you the facts about what is needed. Sometimes it will or wont work and not always what you want to hear but you can rest assured you will get a fair price on a good job. I in the many years of doing business with them have never been disappointed with the work. Can not always say that about how much it cost but it is always fair. I called before I made the drive because I had attempted to have a commercial office key cut at Home Depot and Wal-Mart, but they both said they couldn't do it. His first response was "Wal-Mart and Home Depot are NOT LOCKSMITHS." Taken aback, I let the silence hang on the line for a few seconds. I then asked him if that meant he could do what I needed, to which he simply replied "I'm a locksmith" in a very condescending way, as if the question I was asking was an insult to him and his profession. Beware!!!! check with your local dealership before working with these rip off artists. They wanted to charge me $135 bucks to cut 3 keys and the dealer was $125 which it should be the other way around. When I called the lady back, who by the way had a nasty attitude to ask her if she would beat the dealership's price because I preferred to give the business to the local businesses. She then snapped at me and said well goo to the dealership then. She started telling me stories about other dealerships that said one thing then charge a different price, then they come back to her.
