Service provided by Central Texas Locksmith was fast and reliable. Price charged was fair.

It's my 33rd birthday, my best friend took me to COTA to go go-karting, had lunch, getting dropped off at home, and BAM it happens. I realize I lost my damn house key on the go-karting track lol. A very signature Tommy-ism as my family likes to call these moments. Since this isn't my first rodeo as I've lost car keys or have locked myself out of my car, I knew it was time to use Yelp Request A Quote. Filled out a quick form on the app and bam, just like that, sent a message to a handful of local locksmiths. Central Texas Locksmith got back to me with a very reasonable quote and they got to my place within 15 minutes. They were super patient and very friendly although my door was deadbolted and locked. The locksmith was so friendly and had a great personality. I highly recommend Central Texas Locksmith as they finally got me in, and were super professional the whole time. At least now I know my doors aren't easy to open lol. read more

Lost key fob. Called before they technically opened for the day. CTX Locksmiths were out and done with my replacement FOB in under an hour. Sent them down the street to my neighbors with on-street recommendation! Thanks! read more

Mohanad did a great job pairing my Honda Ridgeline keyless entry fob. Mine had been giving me trouble and the dealership was asking an arm and a leg for a new one. Super friendly and communication was great, thanks y'all! read more

Came out last minute to replace my Jeep key! Good price, professional and responded super fast! Thank you!

Needed to duplicate a car key fob and crack open a small lock box after losing my set of keys. They came out and got the job done in no time and the key fob got matched 1-1, all it was missing was the brand sticker lol. Great service, and definitely going to use them again if I'm ever in need (hopefully won't be though...) read more

Very responsive, quick service, worked with us to get the project done even though there was another small issue to work through.

Mohanad Was Quick efficient and professional. I highly recommend CTL!

I don't recommend locking your keys in your car, but if you do, hope that Central Texas Locksmith is nearby. Today I was enjoying the sunshine and giving my car a long overdue cleaning when I accidentally locked it and shut the door with the keys inside. I walked around it a couple of times, trying every door and trying to figure out what to do, when a guy behind me said, "Did you lock your keys in your car?" I said yes and he pointed to his right, where a locksmith van was sitting. I started laughing--what are the odds?--and walked over to them to explain the situation. Mohammed and Mohanad (apologies if I've misspelled your names!) were both so sweet and friendly. Mohammed immediately grabbed his tools, had my door open in no time, and totally saved my day. Thank you both so much! Give these guys your business--they won't let you down! read more

Great, responsive, convenient, and professional service. Reasonable prices. And did I mention responsive and convenient?

I'd bought a new fob online without realizing that, unlike my old Camry's fob, the Land Cruiser's key had to be professionally programmed and the blade had to be cut to fit the locks. Enter Mohanad of Central Texas Locksmith. Within an hour or so of my request for an estimate Mohanad was at my house taking care of the job. It didn't take long at all, the service was excellent, and the job was done right and at a reasonable price. Can't beat that! read more

Had a great experience - Jeep key wouldn't turn this morning and he hustled out and got it all working again. Even left me a spare key as well! Highly recommended. read more

Terrible communication. I was given the cost of $135 for a new remote and programming. The new remote would be available only after 3-4 days so they offered to open the car for me. I have the key to the car so I didn't need anyone to open it for me. I explained this and asked if they would just disarm the alarm while I wait for the remote control to arrive. They came and deactivated the alarm (providing unclear instructions on how to keep it off - hard to understand... turn on the engine 5x and the alarm will sound for 2 min or something like that). Then the cost: $270 just to turn off the alarm! No keys made. No controls programmed. Just disarming the alarm! And it does NOT include the remote. That will be an extra $135 (a total of $405 for an after market remote re-programmed like the one in the attached picture)! After noticing we thought price was high they reduced to $180 (for a 3min job). I obviously cancelled the remote control and will get something somewhere else even if at the same price. read more

Central Texas Locksmith - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Austin, Texas

Highly recommend Central Texas Locksmith! I locked myself out of my truck with the keys inside on evening a few days ago. Alex responded promptly via text to my request to get my truck unlocked, gave a very reasonable bid and was at my location in Central Austin in a manner of about 20-25 minutes. He was friendly, fast and efficient and careful not to damage anything in the process of unlocking the passenger door. Very professional! Paid by credit card (no extra fee for using the card!).
