Came here after a bike ride with friends. Loved the ceviche and the bread with chimichurri sauce is always so good. Wish it came with the meal like it does at the other gaucho location but the meal was so delicious and loved every bite. Wish they had their gaucho beers available like it was listed on the menu but we will definitely come backs again to try them. Some of our food came out at different times like the bread came out at the end and our friends food came out late. Beautiful view, you're right on the water. Staff was sweet. The problem was the food wasn't good. We ordered the guacamole, fish and chips and mussels. I was told the mussels were good. The guacamole tasted preserved; and left a lot to be desired. The fries were limp and the fish (chips) were really bad. They were kind of crisp, tasteless, with a watery substance coming out of them and there was something hard in one of them. Not appetizing. This is my second time here. My first, it was delicious and I think I remember a different menu. I didn't order a drink this time, just ginger ale. Given the view, I may come back for a drink, but no food for me. read more

Ok my plate was ok but all and all but NOT worth the wait. You can rarely find parking in the tiny lot. You're better off parking through the Linden lot. The wait was just over an hour and our food also took about an hour and they forgot my skirt steak. Decided not to order drinks because it took way too long for everything and new my fave drink was just a short drive away. I got the brunch chilaquiles and my friend got the fish and chips... she hated her dry, no flavor plate. I probably won't return. The music was good but it was a playlist, no Dj. Come here for the view, not the food. I have been wanting to try this place ever since it opened years ago, but I just never got around to it. They are famous for their empanadas, but they do not start serving empanada until 11 am. I arrived right when they opened shop at 8 am with my dog. I ordered the sandwich de miga, which was nicely toasted but it was extremely simple--just a few slices of deli turkey and melted cheese. There was no spread, sauce, or any other filling. This is something that anyone could put together in less than five minutes at home. It tasted okay, but perhaps I should have tried their coffee or smoothie. There was condensation on all of the outdoor furniture, making it hard to find a dry place to sit. I managed to find a dry spot in the shade, and I tied my dog to an adjacent table while I ate my sandwich. You do have to step over detritus from adjacent homeless encampment in the immediate surrounding, but the dining area within the patio was clean. read more

Upon initially arriving we noticed you can order via the QR code provided on the tables. We did. Another waiter came by once and every single time we attempted to get his attention he purposefully ignored us. This was quite frustrating seeing we were waiting on food and drinks. Josue and Estefania saw the deficit and immediately rectified the situation. They made sure that everything came out in a timely manner. They periodically checked in every chance they got to ensure that we were good. Their service was impeccable. I would definitely come back solely for them. It's a shame this amazing location is wasted on this terribly ran establishment. After making us wait 10 minutes in the sun, this place somehow managed to mess up everything, even chips and salsa. Luckily our server understood how bad the food was and was able to replace it with something better and was able to rush our beers after making us wait for 20 minutes. This review is long overdue since our party was last year, but this team absolutely deserves the recognition--especially after a terrible experience we had with a charter company this year that made us deeply regret not booking here again! We had the entire rooftop privately to ourselves, which offered a breathtaking, panoramic view of the ocean. Plus, they have an elevator so it's fully accessible. They had a beautiful, classy setup that really elevated the whole vibe of our event. It looked way better than the private yacht party we had this year! The service was excellent from start to finish. Every single server was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive. Everyone at our party loved the great food, especially the empanadas, which were a huge hit! The food never ran out, with just one small exception: the calamari only came out on one round tray that definitely wasn't enough for a crowd of 65 people, so I'd recommend clarifying that if you have a large group. Staff at the bar was not helpful when ordering drinks- took about 20-30mins while we waited for a table When we were seated upstairs, there was no R&B music playing as it was originally advertised. Not sure if that's only isolated to downstairs that would've been good to know as other guest around us expressed their disappointment as well. The waiter was not attentive at all. He took our order, but wouldn't check in. We'd have to flag him down for more drinks. This was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've ever had. The restaurant advertised that they had 350 seats for the FIFA watch party, so we waited in line for almost two hours expecting there would be enough space. After all that waiting, we found out they actually had fewer than 100 seats available. It felt very misleading and like they greatly exaggerated their capacity just to attract a bigger crowd. After being turned away, we had no choice but to stand outside in the hot sun. We still ordered smoothies and food while waiting, but when we asked for water, we were told they had "stopped giving out water"--not even tap water. Seriously? Refusing to provide even a cup of tap water to paying customers standing outside in the heat is unacceptable. Overall, the event was poorly managed, the advertised seating capacity was misleading, and the customer service was extremely disappointing. We left feeling frustrated and taken advantage of. I will never come back, and I would not recommend this place for any large event. Very misleading. read more

I finally made it Gaucho Beach restaurant on Sunday for the first time, I had reservations for 1 only, when i got there the lady on check in could not figured out about my reservation, she put me at bar, when i did ask for table, she told be scanned QR code to order food and drinks, I was almost completed with my order when the bartender finally came to me, he told me don't order QR order through me, after being 10 minutes he tells me that, I ask for beer and guacamole and chips to start off, it took over 5 minutes to get a beer, the beer was warm not cold enough, I put my food order in, i told bartender the beer was warmer, i still finished the beer because I was thirsty, I ask him make me a nice cold margarita and i told him what type of tequila i want, he told no problem, i got you, he said, ten minutes i reminded him, I'm still waiting for Margarita, he completed forgot about me, just a reminder I was sitting in the front of him, my food came the lady that drop it off, I got attention to tell her that i need utensils, she walked away from me never came back, after more than 5 minutes got attention of the bartender that i needed utensils, i finally got my utensils eight minutes after my food was served in the front of me, as time when on i ask 2 bartender for a glass of water, both of bartender forgot about me, i finally got a glass water after the 3rd attempt, when i ask to pay for my check, i noticed the bartender had mark the percentage of tip that he wanted, that should be up to costumers how much to leave as a tip not the bartender or server, I was very disappointed at service staff, i noticed looking around the bar are , the bartender's were catering to local people that were just for few beers or drinks, i spent $153 on myself plus i gave him 20% tip, the place amazing vibes been next to sand, the food was good, but the service was not good enough. We love Gaucho Beach! Our waitress, Kamiah, was amazing--so friendly and attentive, and she provided excellent customer service. We've been here multiple times, and Kamiah has been the best server so far. We live just down the street and always bring our friends here for great food and drinks. I highly recommend the mussels, lomo saltado, bread with chimichurri, breakfast burger, espresso martini, and strawberry basil margarita, just to name a few. They also have a great happy hour! The beachfront vibe is absolutely beautiful. You really can't go wrong with the atmosphere, food, or drinks here. Gaucho Beach has become one of my favorite spots for breakfast or brunch or really anytime. It is located in downtown long beach. Parking entrance off of Shoreline drive at Ocean ave. Must Pay for parking using the passport park app. The restaurant is an open air concept, right on the boardwalk with views of the shoreline, The Marina, the Queen Mary, and the old Spruce Goose dome. The fairly large space has a beautiful modern tropical vibe and is popping with positive energy and great music. The music is loud which adds to the ambiance. There is a roof top lounge that opens around noon and is available both for food and drinks. The menu is simple but tastefully designed with something for everyone. They also have a bar and a great drinks menu. The service is excellent. Gio, the chef himself delivered the food to our table while doing some personal dance moves and introduced himself. Really fun! Both people in my party had the Lobster omelette. The eggs were fluffy and as light as air. The Lobster and the aioli sauce were a great compliment. Even the Greek side salad was so tasty. For Dessert, my cousin and i shared the Flan which was light with a distinct caramel taste but not too sweet. We kept watching the servers passing by with one beautiful dish after another.
