We went in today at around 4. We ordered a classic burger ($8), an Asian burger($8), a large & regular size chicken bowl ($11 / $7.50 ). The Asian burger was way to raw and was taken back. They allowed us to pick something else off the menu. Later during our meal, my boyfriend noticed a short piece of hair on the top of his chicken. Not only did these mishaps happen, but the portions of the food were small for the price. My regular chicken bowl had more than half of the bowl filled with cabbage salad, one scoop of rice & like 9 small pieces of chicken. The large bowl had a lot of cabbage salad as well & just an extra scoop of rice and a little more chicken although the bowls are the exact same size. Fresh, healthy, hearty food. AND at a great price. One of my favorite restaurants in REDDING. I'm a long time fan of the Fire Bowl. I like to substitute the rice for greens. But when I'm in the mood for a good burger, their Fire Burger is incredible. The beef and pulled pork combo is so great. I hope they work on adding more sides than the chips though. Sweet potato fries would be a great addition to an already great menu. Overall though, 5 stars! read more

This was my first meal at this new location. I had always enjoyed stopping for a lunch at their Palo Cedro location and was thrilled something closer to me had opened. I went in for dinner and ordered the chicken bowl (regular). My GF ordered the Asian taco. Both were enough to feed us and a great value. My chicken bowl came in the requested bed of brown rice. On top of half of that rice was a slaw salad. On the other half of the rice was strips of chicken thighs. Asian taco came with 2 corn tortillas and their was enough filling to make 2 street tacos of it. My only recommendation would be to add some music to the background. When we were there, the place was nearly empty, silent, and it seemed dead. I think a little white noise would be more welcoming. read more

This place is absolutely wonderful! Organic veggies, some are even locally grown and organic chicken thighs on my chicken burger with their own teriyaki that was to die for!! Disappointed, I am super bummed because I was hoping to find a new good lunch spot on this side of town. To get a bowl full of cabbage and rice, with a little tiny bit of meat it was over 8 dollars. Cabbage and rice are extremely cheap foods not worth 8 dollars. I am okay with that though if it's really good. Sadly it is very bland. Basically just chopped cabbage and white rice. So stoked to see this place in Redding! I've loved their Palo Cedro location for a long time and I'm glad they've opened up shop in Redding now too! Fresh Fire Grill has the tastiest food & most unique flavors! Their slaw & aoli sauce is absolutely delicious, and the employees are very sweet. Their menu is a little limited on choice, however what they have offers for a lot of variety and flavor substitutes. Food is a little on the pricey side, my burger by itself was $8, to add a bottle of Sprite was $2. Other typical burger joints around here may have them beat for price but not for flavor! Love that they have complimentary water for customers as well! Aside from the prices and smaller portions, this place is a great stop for a healthier meal! Four of us went to dinner last night. We ordered the large bowl because two small bowls are two much for us to eat. The people we were with ordered a small bowl and a burger. The large bowl and the small bowl are the same. They said it had more chicken and rice but it didn't. BEWARE Do not order the large bowl it is the same as the small bowl. Also my friends burger bun was soggy and fell apart. We loved the food here but cutting down in portions and making soggy buns does not make happy customers. Stop offering large bowls if they are not large bowls. That is false advertising you are going to lose customers because you are cutting down portions and straying from the original grill in pc. read more

Love the Palo Cedro location. First try at this location. Called in order as I live far away to take home. Simple two fire bowls, one with sauce on side. I should have double checked but the person who handed me the order even confirmed the sauce on the side. Get home, no sauce so can't eat the bowl. Plus portions size is smasher than Palo Cedro location. Hope quality and attention to details improves, or this location will close quickly. Great customer service from this cute little Asian lady who gave us complimentary samples of they're fresh squeezed lemonade (which I will definitely get next time) and she gave us a bag of chips for the long wait. Ate here yesterday... we LOVE the Palo Cedro location and figured we would give the Redding location a try.. it was HORRIBLE. The teenagers working behind the counter were not personable at all. Ordered our food, went to find a table to sit and all of them were dirty with food droppings on tables and chairs, found a table that was halfway decent cleaned it off ourselves as the workers watched.. waited for our food while we watched the kids behind the counter whispering and laughing. Finally got our food.. my son ordered a cheeseburger I ordered the Poke bowl. I started to mix up my bowl and realize over half my rice was burnt and stuck together. My bowl had no flavor besides charred stuck together rice and wilted tasteless Asian slaw.. My son said he liked his cheeseburger. We will not being going back to this location! read more

The attitudes of the current staff are horrible. I placed an online order. I was told it would be ready in 35 minutes. When I arrived and said I had an order, before I could finish my sentence the young man said, very sharply, I would have to wait 30-40 minutes. He then gestured at the orders they had. I explained I was picking up an order. When he asked my name I he angrily said He couldn't hear me. When I said my name again I was told my order was the last in line and it would be another 40 minutes. Normally I would have taken my husband home and come back but because of his angry attitude and making me feel my order was an inconvenience I asked for it to be canceled, got my refund and left. If someone is going to be angry with customers for picking up orders then he shouldn't be working at a restaurant. Although the food has been good it's crazy to have to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes to get 2 bowls for lunch. Needless to say that was the last time we will go there. read more

Giving them the grace of a 3* review rather than 2* since they just opened this week. It was okay but they're definitely working out some "we just opened" kinks. The wait for a to go order was about 30-35 minutes - which I'm fine with if the food is hot, but it wasn't. Chicken was cold-ish and lacked the teriyaki marinade flavor that makes it so good in the PC location. I had to add some of my own teriyaki and salt and warm it up in the microwave for a minute and then it was a little better. There's some obvious staff frustration with order mix ups and mistakes. I'm sure once they get the pace and flow down it'll be fine because the PC location is amazing. Will give them some time to get coordinated and try again in a month or so. Really hopeful they can maintain the quality and taste they have in the other location. read more

My friend and I ate ahi tuna bowls, with the most delicious raw fish. Wow it was fresh. And the whole thing was about $20!!!! That's about 5 dollars more than a fast food lunch would have cost us.
