Typical fast food style decor with a giant TV. The food is yummy and plentiful. We usually get the A,B & D for 5 adults! More than enough food for all. It's super affordable! read more

Assistance+ Balance+ Cleanliness+ Deliciousness+ Environment+ Assistance: quick prompt friendly made a few suggestions and treated us with respect and kindness. Balance: quality and quantity versus price is perfect! Even on the more inexpensive side. Cleanliness: restaurant was clean bathroom was clean tables were clean. Deliciousness: I am particularly fond of their sweet and sour pork and sesame chicken, the chow mein covers all of the best tastes that you want in a chow mein including savory salty umami. I also appreciate that they put the veggies on top so you can easily remove them if you do not want them. Environment: it's a cozy kind of hole in the wall place, plenty of space and tables, the only sign that I could see simply said Chinese food, but it's casual and I love it. read more

Food is always amazing and fresh we love it! Been eating there for over 10 years now! Love the new spot!

They load you up on every item, dinners are enough for two, and you can't beat the price. Fast, friendly and consistent quality.

Simply The Best Clean Friendly Love It! Their vegetable chow mein is what I get all the time and it's so much they give you so much food very reasonable you gotta go! read more

We have tried this place twice and both times very disappointed the food just didn't impress me sorry to say won't be back.

I have to say this is the BEST in Shasta county hands down!! I am a picky eater and am not easy to please lol so when I say this is the best that's saying a lot! Definitely has my business and a customer for life now. it has such great flavor and the portions were huge. The owner is so sweet and the employees are very friendly. If your wanting great Asian cuisine I totally recommend Oriental Express in Shasta Lake, CA. read more

Amazing food great service loved the food. Our new place. Amazing got to try them out.

We love this place! It's the best in the area. The selection and portions are large. We usually get two meals out of it and it's even better the next day! It's so good we will drive 30 minutes out of our way just to get it. read more

Bang for buck this place is fantastic, great food, great flavor, great all the way around!!! Hands down u will be stuffed!

I'll start with the Service, The Service was great Friendly attentive! Oriental Express has the feel of a fast food restaurant! Not somewhere I would want to take my husband for date night. It is what the name implies. Express. The food yuck. Sorry to the owners and folks who love it. I do not like the food. Yes they give you a lot. Too much. I would rather have more flavor than a ton of food on a plate. I got Mongolian Beet with steamed rice. All I could taste was 5 spice seasoning. I do not like that seasoning. This is the 3 rd time eating there nope wont go again. That said I did get the Potstickers. They were good. Although fried. I usual don't eat fried foods. Wasn't expecting fried. Usually steamed. Tasty though. read more

The best in Redding!! I come from San Francisco where we have an array of food, I am always trying to find the best of the best. This is the best tasting-wise and price-wise I have had. I got the honey walnut shrimp which came with like 20 shrimp or something awesome so delicious cabbage, pineapple, walnuts. I also got the lunch special which came with chicken chow mein, fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, and egg roll, and a crab rangoon. The hostess told us it would take 10 minutes, it really took about 20, but it was worth every minute of the wait because it was super, hott, fresh and flavorful, simply delicious. The portions are humongous. The price is right! Highly recommend! read more

Such a great spot right off the highway! The chow mein was surprisingly delicious--definitely make sure to try it. The portions were really generous too. A perfect stop for a quick and tasty meal. Everything here is great. read more

A great find located just off I-5 in Shasta Lake! Thanks to Yelp reviewers, we enjoyed excellent food and large portions at Oriental Express that was served with fast, efficient, and friendly service. The dine-in area was clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back on our next pass-through of the area! read more

Food was good and service was fast. They just moved to a new building. Will be back loved their hot and spicy soup.

Is there some sort of completion in the kitchen as to how much they can cram into the takeout containers? Holy crap and to make matters worse the food is so good that you can't stop eating it until you hit food coma! read more

Food is yummy, they never disappoint. Their vegetables are crisp and fresh. The noodles are not overly cooked and mushy. Our fav beef broccoli, meat is always tender and crisp veggies. read more

For Chinese food very good. Food seems to have a home made feel and taste, doesn't feel slathered with hydrogenated oil. Vegetables actually have taste to them and the last homemade test also passes, food taste good the next day cold and unheated. Recommend this place! read more

The food is great. The service is wonderful and the price is amazing. The location is close easy to get to lots of parking.

War wonton soup is always great. The appetizer platter was hot and crispy. The staff was spot on and when they say10 minute wait it was perfect. We get to go on a regular bases. The food is good, the price is reasonable and the wait staff friendly. read more

The most food I have seen stuffed into a to go box! We got two meals and it fed three of us and another lunch for us on the leftovers. We got the Mongolian beef which was amazing, the sauce is great and the beef is extremely tender. There was a bunch of onions which was a bit excessive but no complaints especially given the price for 13$. We also got the combo sweet and sour chicken that came with fried rice and chicken chow mein. The chow mein noodles were thick and very very tasty. The sweet and sour chicken was tender as well. If it was not for Yelp I would never have went here! This is what makes Yelp so special. An awesome whole in the wall behind an arco gas station in the middle of no where. read more

I like Chinese food and have eaten it from San Francisco to the East Coast and the food and service here is the best I have ever encountered. I will continue to eat here when I want great food and service. read more

This is my favorite spot for Chinese food here in the North state. It's a little hole in the wall conveniently located off I-5 in Shasta Lake City. They offer dine-in but it appears that most of the customers here order for pick up. I rarely ever see people dining in. Some of my favorites are the green bean chicken, pot stickers, and Mongolian beef. I'd say their general chicken is a must try (trust me). The chow mein is the best I've had of all restaurants around here. The portions are pretty big, a box size order of any dish will come filled to the top of the box. The food always comes out fast and fresh. I recently ordered catering from Oriental Express for a party for 50 guests. Each party size tray was fairly priced and my guests LOVED the food. They were able to accommodate my large catering order on time and had everything package securely for pick up. read more

The food is cook well but it's too salty. Please cut down on the sodium for all of the dish. Thanks! I used to be from the Bay Area so I know the taste of how competitive Chinese food is. Hope you find this review well. Thanks! read more

We ordered General chicken, pork fried rice, and cashew chicken. All 3 were amazing, fresh, and generous portions. Best General chicken I've ever had. Crispy, thick but tender meat, lots of delicious sauce. Service was fast and with a smiling crew. Ambiance is clean and air conditioned. read more

Popped my cherry at this place today. The building is run down, the pics of the food items on the wall are poor quality, and the dine-in section is not inviting. With all that said, the food was plentiful and priced well. I ordered a lunch special and there was plenty of food and I didn't feel jipped. Most importantly, it was MmmMMm goooood! The service wasn't rude like some of the other reviews state, well at least not for me. read more

Great menu lots of choices been here many times n have been a fan for years . Have not let me down on taste rich flavors this place is fire

They just make a great war wonton soup!!! I wasnt crazy about the chow mein. Its clean, they are friendly.

This place is amazing! Prices are budget friendly to feed a family. The portions are extremely filling and you will be taking home leftovers. Servers are kind. They are quick getting food out. Some restaurant booth seating and clean. Don't let the appearance of the outside run you off because you will be missing out! My favorites the Walnut Shrimp, House chow mein, sweet sour chicken and egg rolls. Delicious tasty food read more

Amazing food and quality, every time! I've never tried anything here that I didn't love. The shrimp king pao, the Szechuan chicken, the Mongolian beef, friend green beans, potstickers, etc. Taste great with a short wait time. The staff are always kind! read more

Love this little corner Chinese restaurant next to the gas station. I call my order in and 10 minutes later it is ready and waiting for me. Very solid Chinese food We had the snow peas and chicken and General Tso chicken. Huge portions for lunch specials. Generous amount of snow peas. The chow mein is thick noodle which I like with chunks of chicken. Fried rice was just okay. General Tso's chicken was nice and crispy with a sweet and spicy sauce. This is not a steam table place. It's cooked fresh. Another nice find in Redding read more
