First time i have eaten there. I heard good things about and was highly disappointed. I ordered the Korean short ribs on asian salad. The ribs were about a half dollar round and about a centimeter thick. Half were just fat and what meat was there was raw... How do you not cook just a thin piece of meat? This place was easy access from the hotel we were staying at. Both my husband and I were craving poke so we decided to try this place. The place is clean and plenty of tables that you can sit. I ordered the chicken bowl. It was kind of bland and there was not enough chicken compared to the rice. My husband ordered the tuna poke bowl and again not enough of the tuna compared to the rice. Refreshed is what we feel after the meal. The burgers are delicious and the salad so fresh and organic. I don't mind if my kids eat here a lot. Owner told me that they use organic grass fed beef and organic greens. No wonder it doesn't give you the unhealthy heaviness as sometimes I can get from burgers at fast food places. I give it a solid "Meh!" We ordered a Korean short rib bowl and a pulled pork bowl. The short rib bowl had very little meat once we were able to get it off the bone (read as "very tough"). The pulled pork with the sweet and tangy was good with its only shortcoming was that it needed a bit more "pull" as a stab with the fork would drag along most of the meat. On another note, do not buy the iced tea. It is horrible. Iced tea needs ice (there was none), should be kept refrigerated (nope), and never stored on a stainless steel container. Those last two items cause the tea to developer a bad taste that some describe as "tannic". In any case, avoid it at all costs. We may return but unless they speed things up, I see people avoiding eating there unless they have plenty of time. read more

We've now been here twice and both times the service was outstanding. Our first order we got to go and there was a bit of a line but it was ok. As they are new and wanted to make sure the orders were being placed correctly. The food was amazing. I had the Korean BBQ bowl and it was delicious. Not an overwhelming amount of rice which I likes. The meat was flavorful and the slaw is delicious. The owner was handing out samples of the Orange Blossom juice which has oranges, apples, carrots and it was so refreshing and not full of sugar. Well let's start with the restaurant being filled with smoke. The grill vent must have been malfunctioning because the air was hazy inside. I had a burger topped with pulled pork. It was very good. It was also just a burger. They have an option to add a package (yes, package) of kettle chips for a buck. My wife had the Korean BBQ short ribs. Good flavor but over cooked and dry. Love the new spot. The decor is hip and upscale, plenty of seating. My oh my was the place busy. I was a bit worried about this new location with all of the homeless pedophiles that like to hang out down by the laundry mat. Did not appear to be a problem. My family and I have come here so many times but this was the last time. We always get it to go and now everything is half the size it used to be. The employees act inconvenienced that we came in during a normal dinner time and ordered food, it was 6pm and the place was empty. My doctor is close to this location and I've been hooked for awhile. The owners have amazing staff at this location. The Pali Cedro staff weren't always as nice but this one is consistently friendly. Fresh food for sure and taste like something I make at home so I appreciate the quality and don't mind paying for it! My husband LOVES the pork plates and almost anything you get is good. Disappointed to say the least. This was my first and last experience here. We ordered some simple hamburgers. One regular one with mustard and tomatoes. We thought that for price of 8 bucks each they came with a side. They did not, we ordered fries. They dont sell fries! Yes they sell hamburgers but dont sell fries. When we asked why the cashier said "we wanted to be different". They suggested that if we wanted fries to go to the Taco place next door, so we went next door and ordered French Fries at the Taco place. When we got the food the portions were small for the price. Two burgers that were each about the size of a quarter pounder from McDonald's and they were $17.00, that's just not a good price. However the flavor of the burger was very good. The couple we were with ordered fish tacos and a salad, they couldn't eat the tacos. Way too fishy and the taco was mostly soggy lettuce with some type of aioli sauce. They both like fish so if it was too fishy for them that says something. I think this is kind of a trendy place for a younger generation that doesn't mind spending 20 to 30 dollars on lunch. I chose the pulled pork bowl instead. Though I have to say the bbq itself was delicious, the bowl itself was underwhelming, especially at an $11 price point. There was a big scoop of brown rice, a scoop of the bbq with a lot of sauce on it, and a citrus slaw on top. Thats it. Where are the fresh herbs? additional toppings? Something to make these bowls stand out, bring out the natural flavors of the food. It was just very plain and boring. Not what I expected. Though the flavors were good enough to eat, it overall lacked flavor and finesse-- things which I think could be easily remedied and refined. but Unfortunately, did not win me over as a customer. My family has been going to Fresh Fire for four years. Recently they have changed their menu and they up charge three dollars to substitute salad for rice. They also charge a dollar if you switch from the slaw salad it to the cucumber salad called Asian veggie. An affordable fire bowl that used to be eight dollars has now jumped in price to 12 because of the simple substitutions that are not worth a four dollar cost. They also used to have a kids burger for five dollars. Now they make you pay eight dollars for the classic burger even if there's absolutely nothing on it except for a burger and a bun. It is not an eight dollar burger and a total rip off. The bowl they gave me was so small and the salad was nothing but lettuce. They charged me three more dollars for a small bed of lettuce. I know that cucumber and onion doesn't cost a dollar more than cabbage and carrots. It just feels like they're trying to squeeze you for money and it is not worth the price. My family used to enjoy eating here affordably. Yesterday I left with only three things costing me a grand $37. One classic burger and two fire bowls with salad instead of rice. To be honest I will not be going back and I'm extremely disappointed because my family has enjoyed eating here for four years. read more
