Stopped by CoCo for lunch as we were passing through Redding and we loved it! My friend and I came for lunch around Saturday at 11:30 and it wasn't too busy. They offer Mongolian grill here with a decent selection of meats and huge selection of veggies as well as various sushi options. For the Mongolian, it's $16.99 for lunch for ONE serving only vs $19.99 for AYCE at dinnertime. Obviously if you can, it's much better value to come for dinner as you get all you can eat for only 3 bucks more. Both of us got one serving for the Mongolian grill, which also comes with soup, a bowl of rice, and appetizer (crispy wonton chips in our case). They also give you gloves to wear for the Mongolian bar so everything is very hygienic. The selection of meats, veggies, and sauces for the Mongolian was excellent. For meats they had the basics: beef, pork, chicken, and bacon bits. But the veggies! I was shocked by how many veggie options they had as well as the extensive sauce selection. After cramming as much meat and veggies into my bowl as I could fit, I went with probably 7-8 scoops of various sauces, and I thought that was enough flavor. My friend found his stirfry bland because he didn't include enough sauce, so make sure you're putting enough. I also got the Caterpillar roll ($13.99), which was super soft and creamy and really hit the spot. I thought I wouldn't be able to finish it on top of my noodles, but somehow I managed to find enough space to finish it. Honestly the bowl by itself would've been enough food, but no regrets about getting the extra sushi roll! I haven't had this type of Mongolian grill meal in probably 10+ years, so this meal really hit the spot for both of us. Would highly recommend to anyone living in or passing by Redding!

We came for lunch right when they opened at 11am, thought it was ayce but turned out lunch is one plate only. The servers were very nice. They weren't too busy, maybe 10 people by the time we leave (some people took the food to go). There were four choices of meat (bacon, beef, pork, chicken). Three choices of noodles and plenty of vegetables. I should have put more sauces in mine. My advice is go for 8-10 scoops of sauce. Would love to check out the ayce dinner next time. I like the option of experimenting with different combinations, verse the one-go lunch, you want to fill up your bowl as tall as you can to get your money worth.

Super mind staff and a nice interior, I liked how welcoming everyone was regardless of their position. Definitely worth it. Miso Soup - 7/10 Umami , I love how light it feels as well. The color was a bit cloudy, but I don't know how normal that is. Calamari - 6/10 Seemed to be frozen and it looked like fishsticks, not that good, but not offensive. Mystery Roll - 8/10 On the right Crunchy and soft, my girlfriend's favorite. The mango added a nice balance between sweetness and umami, definitely worth the purchase and visit alone. For not being in the coast the fish seemed fresh and didn't overpower the dish. The eel sauce was a nice yummy touch. Red Dragon Roll - 7/10 On the left Seemed to have breadcrumbs on top that provided a nice textural difference. Not a bad sushi, had a nice crab filling, just preferred the mystery roll.

This place is very clean, and the food is great quality! The sushi is always 10/10 as well! Great service!!

    Nice place!

CoCo Mongolian Grill & Sushi - A Clean, Spacious Gem with Room for Improvement My dad, wife, and I visited CoCo Mongolian BBQ in Redding for lunch right when they opened today at 11 AM. It was quiet with no other customers yet, which made for a great, relaxed experience. The restaurant itself is spacious and exceptionally clean. The stations for Mongolian BBQ fixings and the chefs' area were well-stocked and spotless. The staff were super friendly, and parking was plentiful--5 stars for all of these aspects. My dad and I opted for the Mongolian BBQ. The food was delicious, but I did notice a couple of items (like the sprouts and mini corn) didn't appear very fresh. I steered my dad away from those, but overall, the meal was still enjoyable. My wife ordered the T1 Hungry Tempura Special Roll. She said it was good, though not the freshest sushi she's had. A bit more freshness would've taken it to the next level. She gave it a solid 4/5 stars. One suggestion I have is for the restaurant to create a menu or guide with sauce combinations for the Mongolian BBQ. Right now, the options are basically "spicy" or "not spicy," which left me a bit lost on what sauce combo to use. A simple guide with different flavor profiles would be incredibly helpful and enhance the experience. All in all, we'd definitely return. With a little more attention to freshness and a sauce guide, this place could be even better!

What is supposed to be a party tray of sushi, but instead is a pile of napkins and utensils with soup.

Poor customer service, very rude, and got our order wrong. When contacted I was told "I don't care, I'm busy" so no they will never see a dime from me and I recommend not from you either. This was a poorly ran business and poor customer service. When you spend over $50 for lunch I expect them to get it right. If there was such a thing as a negative star review I would leave one. 10/10 not recommended. Also the fish taste like it's from Walmart not the ocean.

Is it only all you can eat bbq? Do they offer all you can eat sushi?

Madison, we haven't been there in a couple of months, but unless things have changed, only the Mongolian Barbecue is all-you-can-eat. They do often have specials featuring a bowl of barbecue AND a roll of some kind.…

We were greeted by a basket of warmed french bread and a ramekin of butter Tyler brought to our table. He's pleasant man who wasn't new to food service, friendly and knowledgeable about the offerings. I thought he'd probably started back a bit in that kitchen. He was fun and did an excellent job for us and his other tables. We finally settled on our refreshments, M took a Cowboy Lemonade in a tall (pint) glass and I went with a strawberry iced tea. Mine was great just a hint of the strawberry and not sweet. M ordered a Rib Eye Taco's appetizer, I had my go to with my goto 1/2 baby back ribs. my sides were garlic french fries (2.99) baked beans are automatic and the "endless" salad with house-made blue cheese dressing. We shared the bowl of salad that you add a good amount of dressing and toss it till you're happy with the outcome. I forgot to say no croutons so I scooped those off. We shared the salad, probably a rule breaker but one bowl was enough. We waited awhile for the entree, I didn't watch the clock. We are on a holiday road trip to Oregon and needed a break. Dinner arrived brought out by another server or expediter, I like that practice. Thank you. 1/2 a rack there was a good layer of meat on the top of this rack, it was heavy and plenty enough for me. Fries a bit weathered but done right, could have been hotter. M re-prepared her taco's having me take the sliced jalapeños off the plate and she added some of my pork to her taco. I didn't clear my plate, I'd had my fill no need to overdoit. Dessert yes please, all are made in house a real treat. However; excess is not a sustainable diet plan... Thanks Tyler a great experience for us. Cheers Foodguy-martin

Little did we realize, no one else could compare! From initial email correspondence to picking up the leftovers, our contact Ashley was the model of professionalism, accuracy and kindness. She is a true Brand Ambassador! Upon arrival, we had a reserved table marked & waiting for us, we were greeted like family friends, the team was happy to delay our tasting a bit when some of the party arrived a little later than planned (yours truly), we were treated to a tableside discussion with one of the chefs, were presented with 3 trays of bread & salads, meat choices, sauces and condiments, and then following, a dessert of sampling of their killer lemon bars. After a brief conversation with us, the chef even presented us with a post-wedding snack that he whipped-up for us: barbacoa street tacos! OKAY, let's talk about their food. If you love smoked meats, this is the caterer for you. From the brisket & tri tip to ribs and shredded pork, everything was juicy and delicious, wonderful in their perfect smokiness. The poultry options were equally as great, although we all agreed the meat stole the show. The variety of homemade sauces were equally amazing, we especially loved the espresso bbq (WOWZA). Salad choices: something for everyone- we especially liked their vinegar based slaw and potato salad. The pillowy-soft honey butter rolls are to die for-practically dessert on their own. THEN there were the fresh-made lemon bars. Oo la la - they tasted like a mini lemon meringue pie. Too bad none were leftover for our late-night snacking! All tolled, the overall impression O'Dells team gave us for our kids BIG DAY could not be beat. They answered all our questions and were reassuring in describing their delivery & service the day of wedding (a remote location near McCloud). Through conversation, they proved what creative culinary professionals they are, identified the many local business contacts they work with (some we have also contracted) and THAT FOOD! If you are in the neighborhood on a Thursday or Friday for lunch, stop in. They are working on a restaurant across the street, but just be aware that these guys are POP-U-LAR and sell out pretty quickly on their open days. We can't wait to sample their great cuisine again soon, and especially on the big day. You will love it!!
