I was so happy when Britton's opened up right here in Anderson. We have been needing a really good barbecue spot in town for a long time, and they absolutely deliver! It's a simple, straightforward place, but the food is genuinely outstanding. These folks really know how to barbecue. My personal favorites are the burnt sirloin tips and the brisket - tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. We stopped in at britton's BBQ in Anderson, for lunch, while we charged our car nearby. This place is the real deal. We ordered meat plates, and they were fantastic. The beans were also very good. I really doubt these are from a can. If they are, they have really disguised them well. The cornbread was excellent, the coleslaw was very good, and the potato salad was homemade. I wanted to try dessert, but I had absolutely no room left. If you're in Anderson, California, you must stop by. I saw groups of motorcyclists who were stopping here just for the food. read more

Boyfriend ordered for us from Doordash. He had the ribs and tri tip with beans and corn. I had the salad with tri tip. Where to begin? The tri tip was dry and tough. The corn tasted like it came from a can. The orange vinaigrette was more like water. I got rotting cucumber slices (see photo), and the rest of the salad didn't taste super fresh either. Boyfriend said the ribs and the Pepsi were good. I don't understand the hype. :( read more

The service was great super welcoming from the moment we walked in. The place was cute and clean. We ordered take out the pulled pork was saucy, the ribs were not which I appreciate. The tritip was decent. The one feed back I would give would be to cook the garlic in the corn or just do a butter corn instead. The tritip sandwich had decent amount of meat and was definitely yummy. My husband and I don't eat our very often, but when we do this is often at the top of the list! We love the vibes, friendly crew and delicious food! We usually get tri tip, bbq chicken or tacos. We always get the mac and cheese- it's the real deal! Those items are definitely our faves. The best part about this place is that you feel welcomed, the food is so yummy and the customer service is on point. We love bringing our family & friends here. We have never been disappointed with the food or service. I did witness another customer being displeased about an item, but I was so impressed with how they handled it and quickly found a solution! Great customer service is rare these days- so that really stood out to me. Good vibes are flowin here! They even have a table with probably 100 different local business cards for a variety of services. I love seeing a small business support other small businesses! What a find! We got the tri-tip and pulled pork sandwiches and both were excellent and by far one of the best BBQ places I've been to. The tri-tip sandwich was thinly sliced, juicy and the sauce and slaw perfectly balanced the meat. Their bbq sauce was a perfect balance of sweet and tangy. The sauce was great, but I was told the ribs were going to be meaty for 30 bucks for a rack of pork ribs. I was already suspicious but when I got home, I found out that they are way overcooked and pretty much inedible and not meaty at all. Second time here this week. First time, husband had 1lb tri-tip plate with beans and I tried the 4 ribs plate with garlic corn. Found ourselves craving some more Brittons today. So back for chicken plate with coleslaw and a burger and potato salad. We also tried the pork belly burnt ends, which they only have on Saturdays after 4pm. Service is amazing, friendly, and helpful. The place is clean, decorated real nice, and smells like heaven. And the food is delicious. The ribs, chicken, tri-tip, and burger were all cooked perfectly with just the right amout of flavor. The homemade sauces are all good...mustard sauce is super spicy, and the white sauce which has some horseradish is perfect with the chicken and tri tip. The beans, coleslaw, and potato salad tasted great, and i got to try a bite of the macNcheese and intend to take that next time. But, we must interrupt this review to bring you this special message: The burnt ends nearly made me cry. Absolutely AMAZING food! Portions are HUGE. Husband ordered the tri-tip on Dutch crunch roll with a side of beans. I had the pastrami on sourdough with a side of mac n cheese (OMG, so delicious). Also highly recommended is the candied jalapeños and habanero BBQ sauce. Prices are decent for the amount of food served. We both had half our lunch leftover for dinner. It's seriously a LOT of food. Employees were friendly and personable. Fast service. They really wanted to know if we liked the food. My husband says it's his new favorite place. :-) Hands down the BEST BBQ in Shasta County. It's nice that it's located in Anderson. Provides a choice for dining without having to drive to Redding. We got a big welcome when we walked in the door, and it smelled so good inside...total BBQ aroma. We wanted to try everything and between me, my husband and our two sons, I think we did actually get at least a little bit of everything on the menu, except the salad. None of us tried the green salad, although the potato salad was very good. We loved everything! Special shoutout to the cornbread and all the side dishes. It was all so good we had to return the very next week. And the next week after that. And I can't wait to go back again. My last time I had the pastrami sandwich on a hoagie roll. Best BBQ in Shasta County. Been sad ever since Brick's moved to Churn Creek and turned bad. Pork ribs were not falling off the bones, they were succulent and delicious just the same. Unfortunately, I decided to order from Brittons through Doordash for lunch here at work. I figured that BBQ chicken would be simple enough and fulfilling. Well, the chicken was extremely dry, overcooked, and had little flavor. The BBQ sauce is ketchup based with something like brown sugar added to it, but I mainly tasted ketchup. The ranch for my salad was also weird tasting and not good at all. I'm not trying to be mean when I say all this but this has to be some of the worst BBQ I've ever had in my life. To be fair, I compare all BBQ to BBQ in the Bay Area and Texas. I'm from the Bay and my Mama is from Texas so one thing I know about BBQ is flavor profiles and this wasn't it. So delicious and a great Smokey favor. The beans were full of flavor! We ordered the Brisket Mac and Cheese and was by far the best dish. I was concerned at first cause it looked a little watery but it came together so well with the meat and it all made sense. We ordered the pastrami sandwich with potato salad. Potato salad was full of flavor however the pastrami was very bland, not much flavor but the sandwich overall was good with all the flavors together. The smash burger was 100000/10. Will be back! My family and I visited this establishment 3/28/26. There was about 5 parties dining. When we arrived we were greeted promptly by multiple staff members. You order at the counter and they brought the food that was prepared very quickly to the table. Three of the food items were EXCELLENT the fourth was good just didn't surpass our expectations. The price was on point. I'd highly recommend giving them a try. We are a family that uses our smoker more than once a week and typically would never go out for bbq. We have family in the area and travel 5 hours to visit and do our best to visit local establishments while here. I sure am glad we made this one of our stops. read more
