I was in Cottonwood at the post office just nearby and I saw this Roadrunner grill. I could use some food right about now so in I go. I get a quesadilla and an order of fries to go. I live nearby in Red Bluff, so I'll just wait to eat when I get home. The food is still hot enough, not fresh outta the kitchen hot, but that's what you get with to go orders. The quesadilla was very tasty and the tortilla wasn't soggy. I had chicken, jalapenos and cheese and veggies. The fries were good too. The menu at the Roadrunner seemed to be sort slanted towards the Mexican food side, but not like a full on Mexican restaurant though. Simple and good menu selections, I'll come back again to try more stuff. read more

Hands down the BEST food in Cottonwood. I'm surprised they don't have a line from their truck to Red Bluff! First time trying and now I'm addicted. read more

Was SO stoked to see that Roadrunner had opened up on door dash while scrolling on Facebook last night- decided to order for lunch today and I am SOOOO glad I did they called me to make sure my choice of meat was correct and were so friendly. My togo box came with my name, a smiley face, and even an extra bonus thrown in. Just what I needed after a long week. The flavored redbull is so flavorful and has the good ice and the sautéed veggies & tacos turned out delicious and beautiful. Thank you Roadrunner! Directing everyone at work to you read more

Always delicious. Any kind of tacos you could imagine! Never had anything that I wouldn't want again!

After my wife and a friend of hers went to Roadrunner several weeks ago and had a good lunch, wife and I decided to drive down and give it a go. Quite disappointing. Service was extremely slow. Young "woman" (mid to late teen) working the front counter. Took about 25 minutes for our lunch to arrive. No condiments at the table or at the counter but had to be brought to the table after our request. This took about 7-8 minutes and came in little to-go tubs. Onion rings were overcooked; fried mushrooms were okay. Entrees we're so-so, but not worth the wait. There were 8 customers in the restaurant. The focus did not seem to be on service but instead pounding a mail into the wall to hang a picture (that mail probably took 3 minutes and 50 strikes with a hammer). Another employee, male, also likely late teens seemed to be wandering around a lot but unfortunately no one had any sense of urgency and things took entirely too long. Sorry to say but "Where are the adults?" read more

Seriously y'all - eat here! The awesome 80's music playing (I'm a sucker for music I grew up with) made me so happy, the customer service was amazing and the food was excellent. I've included another picture of the chicken Diane tacos because one is never enough lol. read more

Gone down hill. Flavorless Caesar salad. Dried bits of meat on the Steak Taco. Horrible! Inedible! I have zero tolerance for what was once a good restaurant to subpar pathetic food. What is wrong with you people! The young man behind the counter, leans on the counter, doesn't say thank you, has zero business being in the restaurant business. STAND UP and say THANK YOU!!! read more

I have been a customer since they started in a food truck. The quality & service is always consistent. The restaurant is always clean and the ambiance is comforting. Some of my favorite things are the chicken and mango tacos, ice tea, & the fried zucchini. They also serve big portions. They just started breakfast, I got a 13$ breakfast burrito. It is huge it was split between two people. This is why we are returning customers because they never fail to meet our expectations. Plus good people running a family business read more

A quiet family atmosphere- staff was very helpful with recommendations and allowed us to order right before closing time. They have a nice outdoor patio with a mister for the heat. The food was delicious! We loved all the specialty tacos that we tried. The buffalo chicken and the aloha (pineapple bacon, and Chile verde were our favorites. The steak dinner was also wonderful. read more

Wow. So on a drive to Eugene. Had to stop to charge car. Looked it up on yelp. Directions took me to a an area and block straight out of deliverance. The tacos were crazy amazing and the kids working there were really cool. Had the Cali taco with garlic fries, chicken and Mango, and steak and raspberry sauce. Seriously one of the best taco experience I have ever had. If you are driving hwy 5 you must stop here. read more

This place started out as a food service truck and now has a restaurant location. I'm sad to say I never had the opportunity to eat from the truck but I'm so glad they now have a restaurant in Cottonwood. Their restaurant location is on front street and not Olive st(I think Olive st was the truck location). I have never been more impressed with the food then I was today when I first eat there. I got a few tacos but my favorite was the buffalo chicken taco. It sounded so different that I almost didnt get it but man I'm I glad I did. I'm telling everyone about this place and can't wait to go back and try more new taco flavors. Although I haven't tried the fish and chip they did look amazing. Everyone need to try this place. read more

The young man that was holding down the front counter when we entered didn't bother to look up or acknowledge our presence. Since it was out fist time there, we took our time perusing the menu, but there was no one behind us. He was audibly and visibly annoyed. We placed our order - a Roadrunner salad and a quesadilla with grilled steak. We waited about 20 minutes for our order to arrive. It was taken to the wrong table (there were 6 people in the restaurant - 2 already had their food, so he had a 50/50 shot and missed). The salad was plentiful, but the mandarins were passed their point of being edible. They should have been thrown away a week ago. The bagged lettuce also was passed its prime. Their only saving grace was the young woman that came to relieve the young man, she was pleasant and knowledgeable. Perhaps if we had started with her, our experience would have been exponentially better. The place is fairly clean, but is cluttered upon entry with tchotchkes for sale. I used the restroom to wash my hands of the quesadilla grease (it was also a huge portion, but covered in grease or butter or perhaps a combination of both). I would have liked to have known if there were any accoutrements that I could have added to the quesadilla, but I didn't want to put the cashier out - it was clear he did not want to assist us. Overall, I have no idea how the place has such great reviews - between the bad food and the even worse service, it's not a place I'd recommend. read more

The Roadrunner is seriously one of thee best places to eat! There is a quiet back patio and plenty of indoor seating! They make all their sauces in house and oh man they are so good! Highly recommend! read more

We tried Roadrunner Grill again tonight. Once again the food is amazing! But once again the front end staff (1 young gentleman) still not friendly. Acts like he hates being there, does not greet the customers and barely removes his headphones while taking the order. The rest of the staff were super nice. We love the food!!! read more

This review for the Shasta Lake City location. So the set up is a little spartan. You order at the counter and go sit down. The food comes out in boxes not plates. But dang that food is good! And extra points for the creativity. Never have I ever seen a Steak Diane taco but I saw it and ate it here and it was great. Never fear, they have more traditional fillings as well. The Chile Lime Steak was a standout. The shells are soft but sturdy. We also tried a wrap and were not disappointed. Do not miss the onion rings. Perfectly crisp and hot to boot. So yeah, the setup is spartan but the food is great and with food this creative and tasty they could put it on china plates with silverware and glasses and charge a lot but what's the point. The staff is very friendly and we were checked on several times after we started eating as they walked through the dining room. We will be back. read more

Food was awesome and great price. We fed 5 adults and it came out to $80 before tip. Service was excellent.

Food is great everything I've tried has been great. Presentation and size is good. The quesadillas are very good and giant size large enough for two adults to share. French fries and taco's are great. Tacos are small in size but you get three of them for the price. Plenty of room to sit inside and enjoy your food. Staff is friendly and courteous. read more

While the roadrunner burrito was good, all 6 of my groups water glasses had black ink(?) on the inside of the cup that would wipe off with your finger. Additionally the fries had no salt on them and the ranch was flavorless. The avocado in the tacos was so hard you couldn't squish it with your fingers once removed. read more

Fun menu! Love that you can add almost any filling to their huge quesadillas too. Excellent onion rings!

Great flavor combinations, really like their chicken mango tacos. Service is quick and staff is friendly. I've never had to deal with crowds or long waits which is a plus. Four stars because it's a little pricey in my opinion. read more

Stopped in Cottonwood to charge the car and happened on the restaurant. Wasn't feeling real hungry so we just ordered a Chicken Mango Casadilla and some fries. AMAZING!!! Best tacos I have ever had, honestly :-) I recommend this fabulous place to everyone, go and enjoy!

I have never had a bad meal here. The kids are always friendly and service is fast. Gives you a little time to browse through Grandma's gift section, always fun. The Burrito is good for two meals it so big and they have the most variety of freshly made tacos. Yum I love this place. read more

What? huh? Pass the what? Sorry...I can't hear you! This is a super loud place! So...This is not the place to go for a nice dinner date with someone special. Not if you are looking for atmosphere and to be able to talk to one another We both had Fish and Chips. Nothing's special. My wife thought her Fish & Chips was super greasy. You get one chance to impress and this place did not. For us anyways. I always wish people well. The family working there did work hard and deserve community support. DELICIOUS! Three of us came and all left perfectly happy. The dipping tacos were a real unique treat. The chicken and mango had plenty of fresh mango! Absolutely LOVE Roadrunner Grill!! I read the reviews and was surprised at ANY with less than 4 Stars! Not only is this one of the CLEANEST Restaurants, Their food is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! They have taken "Fusion" Style to a whole new level!! Their food is ALWAYS Freshly made! Fish is dipped per order, fries cooked per order, tacos made per order, no pre-made salads here! and Portion size is HUGE!! 1 Quesadilla is enough for 2, Salads are enough for at least 3 people, 2 tacos will definitely fill you up! With portion size of food items prices SHOULD be more!! Not sure why the negative reviews, read them and its pretty much personal choice as to whether one likes this type of service. Food Quality, Comfort & Cleanliness of Dining Room, Cleanliness of Restrooms, Taste of Food, Service, should only be reasons for negative reviews, not personal preferences. You want cheap? go get a gas station burrito! You want Value, Deliciousness, Satisfying Food in an extremely clean environment?Go to RoadRunner Grill!! There are limited options in Cottonwood for sit down dining and this one is the best. Great selection of items on the menu, almost too many to choose from.
