Right…read moreafter stopping here for lunch I texted my brother in law to let him know that my wife and I had found an incredible spot. He's my hermano, so I had to let him know that we had just had two Hermano's burritos. Something like a super version of a special burrito with rice, beans, jack, guacamole, sour cream and pico de gallo to go with your selected meat. We went with carnitas and it was amazing. So delicious. It's rare that I'll give 5 starts on a first visit, but the Hermanos left me with no choice. What else can I tell you. Great Mexican food on Market Street in Redding. Not too far from I-5 and worth the drive. Open everyday except Monday. It's an unassuming restaurant where you can assume the food will live up to the hype. Counter seating inside. Dog-friendly seating patio outside. The young cashier was really nice and when I told him I thought the mild red sauce was excellent he shared that it was his favorite. I also met one of the owners and there's something special about the people who run a small restaurant with incredible pride because they put so much love into the food. And the customers walk away with that love win their belly. OK, we drove away. But you get it. I don't know when I'll be back, but I hope to try the birria next time.

The place was very clean and the menu board easy to read with a good layout. I placed my order just in time to beat the lunch rush. Help yourself chip and salsa bar was appreciated and having 6 choices of agua fresca was a pleasant surprise! The birria was very tasty and the right amount of meat inside. The consumé was perfect and not too salty. My only complaint is the tortilla could have held a little more red sauce and been grilled a little longer. I will return to try other menu items here. This is a gem of a find for me!

There aren't many food options North of Redding, especially estsblishments that offer more fresh fare on the go so the road runner grill is a perfect addition to the area. The building is small but there's plenty of seating. Friendly service, you order at the counter and seat yourself. Food is prepared fresh and fast. Some of my favorite tacos - chipotle chicken & mango, Chile lime steak, raspberry steak, calamari. My favorite wraps are the Mario and chicken bacon avocado. Black beans with cheese sprinkled over Food was quite tasty, colorful and filling. Even came with chips and salsa pre meal (tho asked for spicier sauce), then mini bunuelos for dessert. Allergic to cinnamon but did taste, again quite good and not too sweet. The cream on top was light and fresh. YuM'm! My quesadilla was so good! Quite the meal all by itself (spinach, onions, cheese, mushrooms, and tomato) with sides of sour cream and guacamole. Restaurant was clean, quiet, and service good with no long wait (lunchtime). Giving 4 stars simply because the service didn't match the faces. All seemed somber and/or with a preoccupied mind. Going thru the motion with no real ooomph. I can only hope the chefs/cooks were happier. I'll be back!

I came here for dinner and also to get a breakfast burrito for an early morning the next day. The tacos were great, good size and full of meat, perhaps a smidge pricey at ~$5 after tax and tip each, but still delicious. The lengua (tongue) was tender and meaty, cooked the way it should be. The tripas though were the stand out - crispy, smoky, rich... I might get just these next time. If you haven't tried this before, don't be squeamish - they don't taste like offal, they don't have a weird texture, they are just delicious. The tortillas were also great, thin and chewy and just strong enough to hold onto the ingredients while you ate. It should also be noted that they have free and unlimited chips and salsa. And the salsas are quite tasty, the salsa verde being my favorite. The super breakfast burrito was eaten cold at around 5 am the next morning, so obviously it wouldn't be fair to judge it like I had it fresh. But it was well constructed, very well sized, and had plenty of egg and bacon in it. It was good even if not eaten at the optimal time and temperature. The restaurant is located next to a sushi bar (which I am too scared to try given Redding's inland location) and has a big parking lot. They take credit cards and bring the food to your table. Whether you're a local or just visiting this place is definitely worth a visit.
